I think so far I'm enjoying this new train more than the old train but at the same time this also just feels like Dust but the T's always have long spawns. The T's not only get to Olof before the CT's can spot them, but the T's also meet the CT's AT Ebox, which is fucking crazy. I think the way we're going to see the new Train's meta is actually a bit more like Ancient where you almost give the T's B or A but hold all the areas AROUND the bombsite like Cave or Donut and then just crunch the site on retake.
Don’t like this trend of “de-cluttering” maps as with less things to play around on bomb sites, they become harder to defend, making executes more t-sided. If the CTs also lose fallback points, then we get another Anubis situation. Not only did we lose some long-range angles, A site looks more T-sided than before with the Z pick and some back 6 angles gone. Train was supposed to be this super tactical, team-based, awper’s playground to restore balance to the map pool.
1:47 nah the 1.6 version was super complicated-imagine csgo, but you can go under all the trains too lol (and also there are a ton of kz tricks and wallbangs)
The Z boost now only catches people who are on top of the trains; from atop the boost you also cannot jump to get information. Kinda sad, but it is what it is.

i really like the new look of train. the style of the map reminds me of the 1.6, source, and early csgo versions of train.

What you called "Oil Train", I remember just being called "Oil" and "Break Room", we used to call "Hookah" or "Kitchen."

Very interested to see how well the waterfall smoke mechanics will mesh with a map like train, can’t wait to see it in competitive tournaments again
