it's a very competitive game so it makes sense why they would want to give players better visibility through lighter and brighter lighting. especially after the csgo drama where certain agents could blend in with the enviroment.
I still prefer CSGO, the old graphics just can't be beat CS2 looks like every other modern 5 v 5 competitive game bright and full of vibrant colors CSGO had that dark grimy look which added to the whole Terrorist Vs Counter Terrorist theme.

i feel like it reflects the tone of the game changing. nobody really cares about the dark themes of the game anymore, it's all about the competition and meta. nobody playing ct is like WE HAVE TO SAVE THE CITY!!!
I agree - personally i think the "fluid" movement looks ridiculous and gives no good indication of direction, furthermore it increases the "he was running and shooting" (when he counter strafed so fast) aspect - its just not a good feeling to die like this. Especially the legs which are literally stuck to some surfaces (thats why there was a Michael Jackson Peek)

I think CS2 is better than CSGO overall. But the thing is, this is a competitive FPS game and we need better OPTIMIZATION. They did a lot of stuff better and much more realistic but in the end it's a GAME, we need to be able to play this game smoothly. CSGO did not have the best optimization but it was good enough. Now it's just FPS drops, laggings etc.
I have no issues 99% I'm playing the game the 1% is when they do an update and fuck something up that ends up getting fixed in a couple hours or the next day the game isnt perfect but it is more than playable

I never played CS:GO, so I have no nostalgia for it. I love CS2 though, it runs amazing on my potato PC, even on high graphics, it looks really nice, and the lowered amounts of maps don’t bother me at all. RIP CS:GO, I’m sure all of you loved it with all your heart, but losing it isn’t the world’s greatest tragedy.
I honestly think CS:GO looked better. Yeah the graphics and smokes are better in CS2, but the maps are too bright and the colors in general look very washed out. It just doesn't have that grimy look anymore and it looks too clean, it's most notable with maps like Italy.
@@vibaj16 never really had a problem with that in CSGO, maybe if skins are involved but that's not something I've seen. If anything I have a harder time seeing my crosshair on the newer maps cause they are so bright, and for the AUG I can't even change it.

The graphics of CS2 are fantastic, but there's so much content missing. I can't believe Valve did this with Counter Strike. They treat their baby like crap. I think the release of CS2 has damaged Valve's image and fan base to an unprecedented degree. Even the release of CSS and the resulting split in the community wasn't that bad.

What Valve changed so much to shut down CS:GO: + new smokes + *_l e g z_* + new graphics + useless Equipment and limited buy menu + new community maps (that's actually a good addition) - a lot of good maps from CS:GO - stable working servers - stable hit record system - adequate buy menu - high framerate - stable working anti-cheat And we've got a lot of patches for Dota 2. CSGO felt more realer man... thats that real shit but cs2 is okay not bad but I miss the different agents in every map instead of just two on every map also.
In terms of visuals CS2 is clearly better, but CSGO is good too. But since this is a competitive game valve should focus on optimizing and fixing the game first...CS2's gameplay just feels quite clunky and messy.
The only thing they did wrong is cs2 is too bright IMO. Like eye hurting level. And the color palette has top many hot colors. It sweeps away the coolness factor of pc games. Feels like nintendo

The graphics of CS2 are fantastic, but there's so much content missing. I can't believe Valve did this with Counter Strike. They treat their baby like crap. I think the release of CS2 has damaged Valve's image and fan base to an unprecedented degree. Even the release of CSS and the resulting split in the community wasn't that bad.
css was punishing for noobs but it wasn't as random as 1.6 that's why everybody was like css is ez bluh bluh. the reason was some people wanna cope with past way too much if you take a look you'll see that css pros were far more successful in GO(which is more similar to souce and it's literally the updated version of source). but cs2 is like imagine you're suffering from forearm and wrist pain to keep your mechanics sharp meanwhile a fvg tourist is hitting a jumpshot wallbang through smoke while running with a deagle and thinking he's got something to say meanwhile MF doesnt know the difference between mouse and keyboard.

What Valve changed so much to shut down CS:GO:
+ new smokes
+ *_l e g z_*
+ new graphics
+ useless Equipment and limited buy menu
+ new community maps (that's actually a good addition)
- a lot of good maps from CS:GO
- stable working servers
- stable hit record system
- adequate buy menu
- high framerate
- stable working anti-cheat
And we've got a lot of patches for Dota 2. Thank you, Valve.

CSGO felt more realer man... thats that real shit but cs2 is okay not bad but I miss the different agents in every map instead of just two on every map also.

In terms of visuals CS2 is clearly better, but CSGO is good too.
But since this is a competitive game valve should focus on optimizing and fixing the game first...CS2's gameplay just feels quite clunky and messy.
I feel cs:go graphic is dirty.. cs2 is clean

The only thing they did wrong is cs2 is too bright IMO. Like eye hurting level. And the color palette has top many hot colors. It sweeps away the coolness factor of pc games. Feels like nintendo
