Canon 5D Markii and 6D classic are just pure bliss. The colors are Magical. Anyone that does portrait photography should try the Canon 6D classic. Landscape photographers would will fall in love with the depth of colors on the 5D markii.
Really agree with the sharpness. I used to look for it, now I actively try to soften uo my images, whether its with a vintage lens or in post. Great vid! 🔥
Man, I love my TTArtisan f1.4 manual focus lenses on my Sony A6400 and NEX 5N. Im blown away by the CCD sensor on my everyday carry camera, the Olympus XZ-1.
Post, film I started out using a Canon Power Shot S95 which took great photos , still have it & carry it as back up or my wife will use if we shoot separately. Had the Canon G7X which took great pics too, not sure why I sold it. Canon EOS M6 which worked well & was portable depending on the lens installed, Now into the Fuji X & S series, yet often contemplate to going back to the smaller & simpler cameras.
I started really getting to photography as a hobby with a Lumix FZ150, then bought an Sony A77 just over a month ago, and I don't think I'll be looking to upgrade for some time. I've got a handful of lenses from my Minolta slr that work just fine with the A77, and if I need a challenge I'll go out and shoot with my Pentax slr or Yashica MG-1....Basically, I've invested in nothing BUT older, used cameras and I'm still having a blast. Mind you, I do this for fun, not money.
I just yesterday bought a Canon 5D mk2. I think its still a very capable camera today, and it fits my price range. Its going to arrive in a couple of days, but i just realised that i will need to wait about a week before i can use it, because i dont have a memorie card for it just yet :).
The Lumix S1 is a beast for the money, the first Lumix FF with everything thrown at it, fantastic buy especially if you can pick one up with V-Log. I Q for stills and video is amazing and the build quality is fantastic.
I REALLY PRIDE MYSELF IN GOING THE OTHER DIRECTION FROM THE HERD!! I LOVE TAKING DOPE ASS IMAGES WITH OLDER CAMERAS...WHILE OTHERS WORRY ABOUT MEGAPIXELS! PERFECT EXAMPLE IS THE X100 CAMERAS! PEOPLE TALK ABOUT HOW SLOW THE X100S IS WITH AUTOFOCUS N SHIT AND TO SKIP THAT CAMERA, AND GET A F OR V!!! I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM USING AND GETTING MY SHOTS QUICKLY ON THE STREET... SINCE I MANUAL FOCUS AND ZONE FOCUS! IF ONE IS STRONG WITH KNOWING HOW TO USE THE CAMERA, THAT MANUAL/ZONE FOCUS IS QUICKER THAN THE AUTOFOCUS!!! PEOPLE NEED TO STOP LISTENING TO HEADS OVER HYPING SHIT! LEARN FROM LIMITATIONS AND TAKING EXTRA STEPS TO GET SHOTS! IN THE END, IT'LL DEFINITELY MAKE YOU A BETTER PHOTOGRAPHER THAT MAKES PHOTOS...INSTEAD OF JUST TAKING PHOTOS! I SALUTE YOU, YOUR VIDEOS AND YOUR MESSAGE YOU PUT OUT ON YOUR CHANNEL! KEEP GOING STRONG AND FUCK ALL THE HATERS! 💯🤘🏾🤘🏾👊🏾 -THE BLACKMAN ARMED WITH A CAMERA
I usually use either a DP3M or DP3Q, but I like to have a small compact for more flexible shooting with me. That used to be a Pentax MX 1 till recently, but it was just a tiny little bit to slow for my liking. I do still love it, but I wanted something quicker. I tried a Canon G5X II and I really didn't like it. I don't really know what it is, but from the around 1000 pictures I took with it I didn't like a single one. The fotos all feel "booring" and I noticed, that I really hate the grain. Can't really explain it. I guess it just didn't click with me. I'll try a Olympus ZX 2 next.
@@DeeRosa It is. Its the camera that made me love photography. It will never be sold and continued to be used. As for me looking for a replacement, I have to admit, that I do like trying out old compacts. Also, with a bit of patience, you can even turn a profit while trying out fun cameras :P
@@DeeRosa Thanks for sharing info, Dee....and great video, a lot of excellent points.....if you were getting camera now and if budget was not an issue, would you get the FP or FP L ?
@@archimark5060 I’d stick with the FP. 24mp is good enough for me. Plus the FPL has some issues when it comes to rolling shutter that are heightened due to the higher MP count
I think cameras are giving images that are more real, so it amplifies the look. Things from our world are imperfect so older tech will produce more forgiving images. The next thing left in the camera industry, is software which is lacking in older gear due to weak physical components. I'll take the new cameras over the older stuff. Old stuff is still perfectly good but unfortunately we can't persuade the manufacturers to work on older stuff. Stagnation is never a good sign because death is the only example of stagnation.
Great vid. I find it amusing that cameras are being judged more on video bit rate than how they take photos these days, and review videos focus so much on that. After all, I’d guess most output ends up on social media where it’s kind of irrelevant.🫤
The fact that award winning flagships are the “old” cameras today means that photographers can get gold without breaking the bank. Nice video bro!

It is not the CCD sensor giving you that look, it’s the CFA filter. The same could be done today.
