This is so clever. I love how the top turned out and it's so pretty too. A partial seam is something new to me but I loved watching you show how to do it. It all made sense.
I love the way you always show details and why we are sewing blocks a certain way. I'm new to quilting and this looks like one I would like to tackle next. Thank you for these tutorials. I love all of them and your tips too. With your help I think I may even be able to do paper piecing.
What a beautiful pattern....thank you Laura, your tutorials are so wonderful, and you explain the processes in such detail that they are very easy to follow.
Laura, I love your videos! Your instructions are so detailed, precise and easy to follow, minus a lot of unnecessary chatter. I love the fact that you are so organized, your filming is spot on and the quilt patterns that you offer are easy yet look complicated.Thank you for sharing your knowledge, I have learned so much from you.
Hello Laura I absolutely love your tutorial on the easy woven quilt where you have a three and a half inch Center Square and then you're four sets of rectangles going around it it came out so beautifully. The blocks went together so easily that I was finished making all my blocks before I knew it but I wanted to keep making more. I love your Tuesday tips and I thoroughly enjoy your techniques and the easy way you explain them.
Love it! And when you began to tell us the cut measurements, I thought, "Oh, I wish I had a visual of how to cut those from a fat quarter." Sure enough, you did just that in the next minute on your video. Thank you!! And I think this could easily be made larger by using half-yard cuts to get a 4x4 block layout --with two extra blocks you could put on the back for a pieced backing. Perfect "lawn chair" weave look for a picnic blanket that would measure ~64"x64" !!). I've been hoarding some original Cotton-and-Steel basics fabric that would be perfect for this. Thanks for your video and inspiration, Laura! ~Diana from Toronto
I was looking for a project to use up fat quarters, saw this again and am going to use that pattern. It is a great way to use up fat quarters! It is explained very clearly as I sometimes say away from partial or inset seams.
Was just watching your live chat, but my comment would not enter....so, here it is: "Thank you for getting me back into sewing after many, many years. I made a tote bag with a ZARA store bag as the pattern. Used my son's old boxer shorts, as the inside liner, after he left after here 5 years ago. Everyone has complimented on the bag, even I don't tell them I made it. Miami Florida here"
thanks for being part of my live chat and having patience with me. It was a lot of fun once I figured it out. And welcome back to sewing, glad I could help:) chat with you soon
I usually avoid partial seams but I really like this quilt. The woven effect is fun. I will challenge myself to try partial seams. Thanks for a great tutorial.
I really like the way this turned out. ;) Love the way you show everything step-by-step. Thanks for showing how you did the partial seam. The finished piece really looks woven! Great idea! xoxoJanet
Just got my top done today! It took no time and turned out soooo good! I used 9 different purple shades/prints and a really light gray for the solid. I’ll be giving it to a friend as a baby gift!
What a fun quick, satisfying project. I happened to have a bundle of fat Eighths, and was able to use them. I altered the length to 9 inches and, and with 2 inches, 2 half inches, and 2 half inches. Squarers are still 3 and half inches, blocks are just a bit smaller, and hardly any waste. I have not finished it, but have cut out all the strips and made a test block, so I am hoping it will work. Thanks Laura, another great tutorial.
Where did you find polka dot material in eight different colors? I wanted to do one with polka dots but could not fine one fabric line that had eight different colors; so I chose a small 1/8" gingham material in eight different colors instead.
Laura I love this one! Too many good ideas, I can only sew 24 hours in a day, so could you slow down the great projects please? 🤣 Thank you from Arizona.
🤗 You Did it Again Ms Laura🤗 aka Quilting 👑Queen👑 I Love this Technique* I think I'm gonna have 2 make this one* I have Tons & Tons of Fat Quarters Thanks Again 4 Sharing 🤗🤗🤗
I love a block that doesn't have seams to match up. I can't wait to get all my boxes unpacked from the move so I can start a new project. This might just be the one.
How would you lay out the quilt if you used more fat quarters, or would you just have more than one fat quarter if you wanted the quilt to be bigger? Thank you for all your help and your wonderful videos and tutorials. You're the best!
Looking for your opinion.... I am going to make myself a memory quilt out of all the scraps I have left from different things I have made. And I really love this pattern. If I kept all the middle strips white, the center square the same in all blocks, and the two outer strips different in each square, do you think I could achieve kind of the same affect? Thank you for your guidance.
I was so intimidated by partial seams and now I love what they allow in my sewing!
WHAT a Clever, Charming, and Intriguing idea!!! I luuove woven-look quilts - this one is amazing. Thank you.
Lovely end result without too much work 💍💍💍💍😍😍😍
Thanks and thank you for watching

How would you lay out the quilt if you used more fat quarters, or would you just have more than one fat quarter if you wanted the quilt to be bigger? Thank you for all your help and your wonderful videos and tutorials. You're the best!
Yes just add more fabric or use yardage instead of FQ
