Thank you for the wonderful video, ditto what others have said! I'm brand new to watercolor and was thinking to try something like this on canvas for an acrylic painting...not sure it it'd work yet..
Hey Suz, welcome onboard and thank you for watching. These techniques work better on paper as using acrylics like watercolour can weaken the ability of the acrylics to stick to things. So if you do use it on canvas you might find that the colour lifts off more easily than you are use to if you try to layer over the top. But I usually say with these things try it and see if it fits with your creative process, just keep this in mind if you do try it, you might have to work round it or find a why to use it to your advantage!
I am a newbie to the wonderful world of art. I was looking to see if I could use acrylic paint as watercolor. I found your video you answered my question. It looks fun. I love your enthusiasm. I appreciate that you didn't fast forward through your video. And not playing some annoying music in the background like so many UA-cam tutorials do. I subscribed to your channel looking forward to watching more of your creativity. ❤🎨💃
You are always so inspiring. I get the bug every time I watch your videos to get up and create something. These backgrounds are so cool. I might try your blocking techniques. As it's 1am it won't be tonight though. 😂 TFS and inspiring me once again. 👏😘🙃🤗💗
I live these ideas! Watercolor appearing backgrounds that don't move - brilliant, my dear! I just love watching your videos. Your enthusiasm is so fun and contagious! 😃
Great ideas, Kim! Love the watercolor look with acrylics. You are so inspiring! I haven´t been able to create much, but I love your book and will definitely try out the wonderful ideas you have :) Tfs, hugs, Fia
So what will you do on your backgrounds? If you are looking for more inspiration try these videos: bit.ly/2lM2YwD

I am glad it helped. Have fun playing!
Thanks for sharing!!
And thank you for watching! I hope you have fun with the techniques!
I love the straw technique. Have used it with alcohol inks and bubble paintings. It produces a nice 'spidery' look.
Oh it is such a fun technique isn't it?!
I managed to do my art projects I used some circles petal shape/ embraced the layers with shimmer paints
Your videos always leave me happy and inspired 💙
😘 thank you, you are very kind! And back at you!
All of them look cool and I love the permanence of the acrylic but the ability to achieve a watercolour look xx
I know! It is perfect isn't it?! You get that lovely watercolour look and you can layer to your heart's content!
Beautiful Backrounds!!
