    Looks yummy! To make it the spices evenly distributed I like to mix together the dry ingredients in a small bowl then put everything on the meat

    Thanks for sharing Yousef! Looks delicous, will try it!
    I had a question, what kind of yogurt did you use? does it matter?
    thank you!
    also could this be cooked in the oven instead? i don't have a grill in my house right now.

    Superb! Thank you Yousef! Very soon spring lamb will be available in the UK, and I will try this delicious dish. Two questions Ustad Yousef. Please give a link to a previously described recipe, or if this is absent then please give a recipe for liquid zafran. Also, instead of using grated onion and then having to discard it before grilling, can we puree the onion in a blender, squeeze out its juice and use the juice instead of the grated onion?

    • @CookingWithYousef
      @CookingWithYousef  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you! As far as the onion, I suppose you could do it that way but then you would need to marinate it for much less time as it would be too much juice for overnight marination.

    • @dawnlightening
      @dawnlightening 3 роки тому +1

      @@CookingWithYousef Your explanation makes sense. For the zafrani liquid, do you just grind the zafran in a mortar, then pour in hot water, mix, pour into jar, close lid and allow to steep, or is the method different? What is the shelf life of this essence? Thank you!

      @@dawnlightening Oh, forgot to give you a link for liquid saffron but seems like you already know how to do it...you don't need to add the sugar cube and it lasts several months in the refrigerator, very easy to do - ua-cam.com/video/I8Gf63a1phA/v-deo.html

    While this is great recipe and looks beautiful, it is also very laborious work the marinating process. However, I have another comment about Yusuf’s long sleeve shirt while preparing all this messy process. Can’t you just fold your sleeves up so you don’t dip them in the marinade. Also don’t you believe in using an apron?
