As a hardcore Silent Hill fan, this was very pleasant to watch. This is how a modern Silent Hill game or film should be made. Hit all the right beats, a real atmospheric horror.
visuals 10/10 acting 8.5/10 sound 7/10 editing 8.5/10 being you’re first film upload this is a tremendous start. there s areas to improve in but even the big studios have these issues too. the pacing was my favorite part of this, nothing felt too long or too short lived, every scene flowed like a calm river current and brought thr viewer gracefully into the next scene.
Thank you for making a silent hill story that isn’t just jump scare galore so many people don’t understand silent hill is more about the characters and their inner conflict than cruddy jump scares. That being said the moment where jumpscares did appear felt earned and not shoehorned in [I especially enjoyed the hallway sequence] 9.5/10

I’m so grateful I managed to catch this video during the livestream. A day later I still haven’t recovered from the impact this has had on me, not since seeing the dark knight in cinemas in ‘08 have I had such an overwhelming feeling of warmth to see another person care so much about adapting something with great precision and faithfulness. Nolan crushed batman, HomeByeNoon crushed Silent Hill. Today is a great day to be a silent hill fan and a horror movie buff.
I’d never have thought when first downloading the illusive “PT” on the PlayStation store back in 2014 that silent hills would’ve become such a cultural phenomenon in video game horror history, and I certainly didn’t think I’d see a spiritual successor to pick up the baton and finish the race that kojima, del toro and ito weren’t allowed to continue running, but the day has finally come and I can’t lie that I’m flabbergasted at how much this fucking rocks!
This just shows how awesome the silent hill fanbase is taking matters into their own hands and adding additional content and media for people who love this franchise and pt. So much talent the ip should be bought by another company, and they should be hiring these people to write and direct imo
This film was way better than the so called silent hill films we got By far this is the most well done fan film I've seen from the effort into editing and the soundtrack is on point glad seeing something new and big in the silent hill fanbase proud of you man 💪

no no no something must be wrong here, a silent hill fan film without pyramid head :0 I did spot the silent hill 4 the room door on the fridge tho heheheh
i think the most fucked up thing about this was that the father (being the leather jacket guy) was clearly possessed by some CIA mind control and paranormal brain washing -- meaning that he himself is a victim 😖😖😖 he physically murdered his family but someone coerced him into having the idea to do that in the first place. Way to tell a story from the perspective of both the traditional “villain” but also one of the victims 👌👌👌👌
ok not only is this a phenomenally paced horror thriller but a phenomenally executed , written and devised silent hill story too. You’ve hit all the staples of what makes silent hill so iconic, loss, guilt, monsters, the feeling of hopelessness. Once the shit hits the fan and everything dials up to eleven I couldn’t close my eyes in case I missed a second of detail. I love how ambiguous this version of the town is, I’m still unsure whether or not the character was transported to silent hill physically or if it was in his head. And the double of him too? Why did he run? Was he also stuck in a time loop? Was this an earlier or later version of him (judging from the very end of the film we see the dude in the back of the cop car then the start of the film he’s in the drivers seat just waking up, implying this is a repeating purgatory for him perhaps?). Overall what has been achieved here is nothing short of greatness. Sure there are small things to pick at and I’m sure if you had a bigger crew and higher budget those issues would be smoothed out, but I’m going to say I was astounded by the work on show here. You all are going places. The grind is tough but keep at it and continue to produce this sort of thought provoking work.
@@HOMEBYENOONi also noticed that the character exploring the loophole house looks a lot like the main character in ROT , another silent hill based horror short film made by corridor . Could this be a reference ? Or the same character ??

Is this story a time loop? I just noticed the first scene involving the main character begins with him asleep in his car, then after he’s revealed to actually be a murderer he’s locked in the backseat of a cop car being interrogated. The first shot of him and last shot of him have him sat in cars, surely this means similarly to how he gets stuck in the doorway loop he’s clearly stuck inside the entire process like the video game? There is a start and end but it doesn’t simply START or END?

Are you considering adding closed captions at any point? Love what I see so far but hearing isn't so great!
Brilliant....
Wow… love love love! Very nice setup with the twist ending, little droplets of information to confuse and lay hints for us! MK ultra is some heavy fucking business man, my high school math teacher was alive during the time period and spoke about it from time to time. Are you thinking of making anymore silent hill stories of any form? I know you guys stretched out and even added some fresh new story beats to the source material but I think you have the talent and passion to make a brand new story if you were to ever dip your toes back into Silent Hill territory. and now you’ve started the Kojima live action fan film verse surely metal gear solid and death stranding are on the cards no?
a Death Stranding fan film would just be 10 hours of walking footage in Iceland, would be pretty though.
@@KarlVeiga oh snhap hey, loved the film btw dude and your Star Wars edits are crazy cool
well hey you managed to make a 40 minute movie out of a cancelled demo, surely you could make death stranding good too? XD
FANTASTIC
Such a good fan film
My God, Silent Hill, my God Almighty, wooow.
This is incredible! ❤
Tread lightly my fellow mortals. For our sins have been cast into the abyss, like a net over a lake of fire. All for the devils amusement.
The wind sings and the water dances obsequiously by nature. At our last breath, when the hills are silent, Our souls shall be cleansed. Amen 🙏 🖤 ⛓️ 🌎
