Those pumps are set up for AN ORB fittings. The ORB means O-ring Boss. AN means Army/Navy, the standard set during WWII and the tubing used is 37 degrees on flares which is different than brake lines. Most pumps use either the ORB or NPT (pipe) fittings. ORB with a Viton o-ring is better for preventing leaks. The threads on an ORB are straight, not tpaered. McMaster Carr is probably the best place to find what you need but the problem is you have to purchase a pack of 10 and have them shipped via UPS. The shipping can cost as much as the O-rings.. Stay away from the Nitrile rubber. You want Buna-N or Viton. The Viton are more expensive and are the best option. Buna-N is the most common and great for oil. Viton will hold up to many chemicals and gas is loaded with chemicals but you would have to order them and McMaster Carr is a great place to get them. . Thing about McMaster Carr is they ship fast and it come to you most of the time on schedule. Home centers, hardware stores, auto parts stores and plumbing suppliers all sell o-rings but finding Viton locally is probably just wishing. Hope this is helpful. By the way, you can order a kit for the 280 pump online. Summit or Jegs may have them, Allstate Carburetor does.
@@4speed3pedals summit doesn’t carry it or at least they told me they didn’t I was down there Friday with the intention to get all the stuff for it while I was there and they told me they could get me anything for a Barry grant pump…. But then again that is relying on the word of the guy behind the counter.
Yeah I looked online and didn’t find the correct ones. But I did just speak with someone and found some O rings the correct size so I’ll be able to get that one back together soon. Thank you for watching
