This cougar has been on and off the channel since 2018 and the videos are so spread out that I thought it was time to smash them all together. In this there is glimpses of dragweek 2022 and power tour 2023. It’s been a long road with this car but it’s been a lot of fun. There is some new stuff coming soon with the car and I wanted to get everyone caught up. You can contact me at Email 78speedsh...

It’s been a long road but I think we are very close to being NHRA legal with the 1963.5 Ford Galaxie. It’s one thing to have a faster car, it’s one thing to have a car that can be competitive but when it doesn’t meet certain NHRA rule you really pigeon hole yourself to what events and where you can go. Don't do this on modern cars. Old school carb cars, sure. Also, use a mister bottle and not tje water bottle or cup method, hands can be shaky and you can easily hydrolock your engine. Again, dont use on modern cars, yoi will clog yp your catalytic converter and break of big chunks in an engine with much tighter tolerances.

    Been doing that for decades on carbed engines….especially the ones in the late 70s to mid 80s or so…all the lean burn garbage.. Super sensitive to carbon build up with those years.

  • @SteveWittek
    @SteveWittek 2 дні тому

    Worked for a Caddy/Olds dealership in the 70s. Dealership was about 90miles north of NYC. Big cube caddy’s idling around the city would build up a lot of carbon. When the owner took a trip to the “Upstate NY” on vacation many would be towed off the NYS Thruway with an engine knocking complaints. They would perform an upper cylinder de carbon service. Mechanics would confirm this was a carbon issue. Then get the carbon glowing by a few miles at 55/60 in D2. Then pull to a remote location in the parking lot. Remove air filter cover. Increase rpm and spray windex down the carb followed with a drink of water. After the blackout smoke turned white the car was washed and returned to the customer who couldn’t believe we fixed his car in less than a day.

    Currently its 23F here in northern Michigan, nice working weather to be honest and I have no issue using the yellow snow making machinery. Some of the most miserable times I had in the USAF were at Charleston AFB in SC, on a 'winter' night where it was 34 degrees and raining. Sitting in a 60K that didn't have a heater in the cab. Look up what a 60K Tunner is, its cargo handling equipment for loading USAF planes. Tiny cab and you only have about 4" of movement in any direction. Now sit in that without heat for 12 hours. Yeah it gets a lot colder here by Lake Superior, and its just as humid as South Carolina on many days, but I am not stuck in a 60K or 10k forklift. 130F in Kuwait was far more enjoyable, and there is no such thing as air conditioning in cargo handling equipment. Germany in winter also sucked, I went from September to March without seeing the sun because of when my shift started and ended, and no days off during Desert Storm. Cold is relative. 23 is balmy for me up here, and 40 is parka weather for people in Florida. Last week it was single digits, still not as cold as it usually gets in December/January.

    I have to say that a bag of those things would change my life - for the worse. I have to say this. You may ban me from commenting but I have to relay this info. You are killing yourself. Sugar and carbohydrates and chemicals. You are destined for heart failure and I don't give a damn about cholesterol as high cholesterol has not been proven to cause heart issues and old people can have a 300 plus level of LDL. Sugar is a problem. In the mid 1800's, the average consumption by each person in the U. S. was one pound a year. Today it is 250 to over 300 pounds a year and it is not from drinking coffee with sugar It is processed food. Sugar screws with insulin. Your body makes insulin and it controls signals to your brain whether you are hungry or not. When sugar is consumed, that "switch" reverses and you are literally craving food. American processed food is loaded with sugar and there are over 65 names for sugar. Carbohydrates are turned into fat for storage and the reverse process is harder than when consuming protein (meats, fish) and saturated fats (butter, cream, meat, etc). Do yourself a true favor and your viewers, investigate a KETO diet which is nothing but good food. Another thing to investigate is the Keto lie where everything in a package stating it is KETO friendly is a lie. People should purchase the outer isles of the supermarket and never venture into the aisles with shelves. On the perimeter is dairy, meat, produce, seafood. Check out Vinnie Tortorich and his NSNG diet (No Sugar, No Grains) which is basically a KETO diet. Your body will love the change. You will loose weight without exercising. Your body will burn fat. Fat in the form of fat is what your brain eats. There is not hard process that your body must go through to feed your brain if you eat properly, meaning saturated fats. It is a complete thing and should become a way of life for all, not just people that have some excess weight. I am no expert. Tortorich is and there are good people that promote KETO diets that are not cheating diets. I have been doing this for 3 months and am amazed at what is going on with my body and I am older than you. My heart rate is down, I am hoping that I will get off or less dosage heart medicine and statins to reduce cholesterol are a drug company's way to job security and have bad side effects in long term use. Please, for your sake and your family's, investigate this, adopt this and make it a way of life. Good food costs more but eating correct food will cause you to actually eat less and not crave things due to proper control of insulin. Our government is killing us, Kellog's is killing us, snack food industry is killing us. That bag of hotdogs reminds me of the TV series "Married with Children" where Al Bundy loves Weenie Tots. On one episode he read the label and it stated "No Nutritional Value". That should be on many foods in the supermarket because the info is allowed to be a lie. Believe me, I am not trying to offend but to help is my goal. One final point - you can live without sugar and very low amounts of carbohydrates but you cannot live without protein and some saturated fat.
