In this video Ilya drops the truth about historical steels used to make swords. What started initially as a response to shadiversity's katana video quickly became much much more. He goes over the chemical make up of crucible steels(wootz) and different cultures bloom steels. This video adds much more to think about in the age old Katana vr Longsword debate. We aren't talking about today's materials and we all need to understand that when we try to apply ancient techniques and compare how they were used and why they were used that way.
