Wow Kevin, you have outdone yourself! You make even the "slow growing hoya" look amazing in a before / after. I am really interested in knowing which plants you think do better in semi hydro vs. ok in semi hydro vs. better in soil. Also I feel very fortunate I found you while your channel is still relatively undiscovered, because I have a feeling this channel will go BIG!
Okay thank you again for such kind comments!!! 🥰 Hmm I'm starting to form opinions based on my experiences growing my plants but it might be a little early! I just started a few of my plants in soil again and I'm glad it's going alright 😅💚
I’m very impressed with your collection . Please share your growing environment with Leica and the humidity, etc. also you’re engaging with your wit! Awesome ! Thanks for sharing
@hakunalaplanta Hi Kevin! I love your videos! I watch them pretty much everyday! Those cute self watering pots, do you find yourself using mostly the 4" inch or 6"? Thank you for your enthusiasm in every video! I got into hoyas watching your videos! I have only one (the krimson princess), but just ordered a mathilde, the krimson queen and the new guinea ghost after watching one of your unboxing videos! I would love an update on your hoya new guinea ghost! Thank you!
Omg!! Been waiting for this vlog like forever and I super enjoyed it!! Awesome hoya collection😍 But you know whats more amazing?! Its your reaction everytime your leca balls fall🤣🤣🤣 Cant wait for Part 2!🥰
@@kevin. Any tips to a newbie here? Just started with my hoya collection, my faves are mathilde thomsonii obovata carnosa krinkle 8 Nummularioides. I like fuzzy and veiny ones😍
Loved this vid I’m a massive Hoya head myself💁🏾♀️ I only have a couple of plants in leca and I would love to transition some of my others but I have an issue with keeping the pot/plant stable if that makes sense? I find that a lot of the time I have trouble stabilising the plant I would love to see a video on how you pot your leca plants/leca routine and trellis your hoya in leca. Thanks! Love from London
Show off 🤣🤪 I can not believe the growth on your plants. I recently did a video on my Hoyas and I was all chuffed with a few of them and then you have to do a hoya video 🥴😁. Like I said in your Monstera video, sorcery or something. I have never seen anyone grow plants as quickly as you. Another great video,.love your channel 💚💚💚
In my collection I've got about 6 inches of karnosa queen, and I just had 20 ish cuttings of compacta, princess, jade, and more queen Karnosa's thrust upon me as well as a bunch of mystery wet sticks by a friend. Im gonna have 4 full planters if they all grow, 3 more if the sticks take off too. I'm a little overwhelmed, but I've got a friend who will be interested in a pot or two
Apparently I‘m not capable. I‘ve had a bunch of different cuttings for weeks and they haven’t done anything. I have like 23 or so different ones. But they are so slow to grow. So for your Q&A: Share your Hoya care, including nutrients. :)
Another question… the one with the tomatoe cage Hoya cutis porcelains, it’s clipped on this tomatoes cage. Are those little clips hard on your plants? Like do they get pinched?? Just curious as I ordered some little clips and I didn’t realize they are so tiny. Orchid clips
Hi Kevin!! Seeing how well your mathilde grew in leca has made me want to experiment with mine. I watched your leca video and I have questions! Do you water your plants when the reservoir is empty or do you keep refilling when you see it’s getting low? Do you refill your plants with the nutrient solution every time you see the reservoir low or do you refill with water? I’m wondering if I have to use nutrient solution with every watering or like, once a month.
@@kevin. of course!! Thank you for responding💚💚💚 I hope you’re break is going well and that you come back rejuvenated and betta than evaa!!! Sending you lots of love
I love how you show the before and after, to better appreciate the progress in growth. Love all your hoyas. I have a small collection myself, but they are not as lush. Can you do a comparison between hoya obscura and hoya sunrise? Cutis porcelana is Filipino for porcelain skin.
My fave on this hoya collection is the Glabra?? Very nice enormously shiny leaves. Love it. Can't wait to see more on Part 2. Dropping leccas on your videos is totally your trademark now, @Kevin 😂 take care.
Hi Kevin, the flower usually only have 5 petal. But sometimes it do grow 4,6,7 petals. It’s unusual but do happen sometimes. None of mine did that, yet… but hopefully I get lucky like you 🍀 ☺️🤗
You saying you aren't super knowledgeable about hoyas, then showing these GORGEOUS full trellis Hoyas has me absolutely shook. Can you pleeease, do a care video on how you care for your Hoyas? Cause I gotta know how you do it.
Hey I just found you and subscribed. I am new to Hoyas from spring summer. Ummmm I went a bit crazy snd I think I have over forty. The arch in some Hoyas where they are hooked with little clips what is it? Soft wire, hard to bend wire? Or are they pre made already?
Your Hoyas are beautiful! They must love what you’re doing for them. Plants are like people, we all are different in our likes and needs. Gives us what we need and we bloom too. Enjoy your content.
Posing a question, do you think that the Forbesii could be pronounced as (fourbs e i). Your black dragon looks great! As do a bunch of your plants. I think gettin yours to grow so big should be considered an accomplishment, they all came rather leafless. Getting them to bloom means they are at home and feel great.

Do you do anything different for the Hoyas or drought tolerant plants in leca than you do for the other plants? Like the amount of water used or how often you water them.
I'm now seeing that my more succulent, thick leaves hoyas are not doing the greatest and definitely need to dry out more. My thin leaf hoyas I treat the same as my other aroids. My snake plants do just fine also. I don't have any experience with cactus or succulents

I have a question. when you propagate your hoyas do you propagate it first in water then transfer to leca? or do you propagate it straight into leca?
Hi! These days I propagate straight into Pon or LECA or perlite. I only propagated my Hoya mathilde that one time in water 🤣
You have the most unique hoyas I have ever seen. I love seeing them, but my bank account doesn’t appreciate it 😬 😬 I can’t wait to see part 2!!

Awesome. What are you feeding your Hoyas?
The ones in LECA I use the 3 part flora series by general hydroponics and the ones in pon just rely on the slow release fertilizer in the medium
Can you use the same for soil mixture?
You can but it might be too much fertilizer
Love your hoyas! I didn’t know there is such hoya as cutis porcelana. That name translates to porcelain skin or porcelain complection.
Would love to see where your hoyas live and your growlight situation! You are an insipration! ❤️❤️❤️
What fertilizer did you use and and what did you do to your hoyas and they grow so big in such a short time? Tell me the secret please
