I have learned so much from both Sue Daley and Jenny Doan. It is fun to see them collaborate! I am doing my second EPP quilt currently and cannot wait to try this Quatro Color Quilt! I find that hand sewing centers my emotional energy and is very calming and satisfying! May this art never be lost!
Love Sue Daley's clever technique... have done a few pieces now and it really does make it easy... thank you MSQC. Us Aussies were able to understand Sue perfectly!
Thank you two lovely people for this tutorial…..I’m just about ready to start paper piecing a quilt for the first time and you’ve given me even more inspiration. Love the knicker knot🤣💕Cathy in Montana
I love this technique, I have been using up some scraps from earlier quilts and it relaxes me in the evenings Thank you for making this form of paper piecing so easy.
I love doing patchwork on my machine, but I spend a lot of time traveling and paper piecing is so portable. I really like this tutorial, it takes the mystery out of it! Thanks.
I love all the hints & tips on all the quick videos! You make everything look so fun & easy. I've been making hexes that I take places to work on while I wait. I don't use glue I just thread & quick baste it. Thanks for all your help!
My very first attempt at patchwork was doing English paper piecing. A dear friends mother taught me. In those days we used cardboard from cereal boxes to make templates. It's so great to see fellow Aussie Sue teaching us more tricks, more easy that's for sure. Great tutoruaks😀😩
WOW! Now that would be an heirloom quilt that I would not take on a picnic! I wish I was the kind of person who could sit in front of the TV and hand sew the evening away to make something that is so very beautiful.
Fantastic video Jenny and Sue! Well explained and interesting and you make it look so easy! I have ordered a pattern with all the templates and paper pieces and mirror and needles from your shop here in Australia Sue - can't wait to get started!
Sorry if I missed hearing the line of fabric used in this quilt. It's beautiful and I will be purchasing the pattern/templates. Would love to use the same colorway. Thank y ou for the turtorial.
This quilt is a stunner. I really would like to see a close up, or a SUPER close up view of the finished quilt, so we can see how it's quilted, and the technique of Sue's stitching. Get your ZOOM on Jenny. I'm old, and I need to see it better!
Very beautiful quilt... charming and delicate. But I can't pull myself away from patchwork or strip work. Like my embroidery of days gone by, just don't have the patience anymore.
EPP is quicker and easier than you think. Great for travel or when you have time to kill and not at home, I am currently doing honeycomb and squares (my first EPP) love how it comes together, there are so many options to play with. Quarto Colour maybe next.
Very pretty, BUT, with my computer at Max volume, I bearly could hear what was being said. Thank you Jenny for asking your guest questions about their projects. With out them, I for one would of been at a loss of what to do, or how If I so desired to try that project. YOUR THE BEST!!!..
Ok, how many paper pieces would you order to start one block? Do you pull out the paper then sew or sew then pull out the paper. Sorry, guess I should have watched the video a few more times, very interested in doing this for granddaughters quilts.
I'd love to do this in a small packaged project to start. Any chance MSQC will do a mini self contained kit project like a two-sided coaster or something; so we can try it first before jumping in with both feet?
Here is a pattern you might like to try: www.missouriquiltco.com/shop/detail/62817/indygo-junction/amy-barickman/fabriflair-kits-brio-sphere-small I hope this helps!
Where I am confused, if I make, say 50 of three or four different colors, keep them in a plastic container, when I go to sew them together the paper comes out as I sew or comes out when I put them in the box. In other words do I order one package of hexagon papers and one of another snap or do I need fifty paper pieces for each color? Really interested in starting these, I have the glue pen in my basket to order. Love all your tutorials. Sincerely Debbie Reynolds.
Debbie Reynolds the paper comes out when you sew them together and then it can be reused. I think the easiest way would be to make each "flower" at a time so you don't need 50 papers for each color
Sorry about that, Mario. If you add the items to your wishlist we will send you an email as soon as we get them back in stock. Sue Daley's fabric line, however, will not be coming back in stock. :( I hope this helps and appreciate your patience with us!
WHERE CAN I FIND THE LAZY SUSAN CUTTING MAT THAT YOU HAVE ON THIS VIDEO??? I WOULD LOVE TO GET ONE ASAP.... DOES SHE MAKE THESE SHAPES IN LARGER SIZE??? IF SO WHERE CAN I GET THIS AS WELL....? BEING 61 YEARS OLD IT HARD TO SEE TO THREAD A GOOD NEEDLE; WOULD DEARLY LOVE TO HAVE SOME OF HER NEEDLES TOO.... OOOOO MY THIS IS SO FANTASTIC...!!!! THANKS BLESSINGS & BE HOPE FILLED FRANKI

Sewing and making quilts is my first passion, and although I am new to EPP, I just love it! I did not start it to make a quilt, but as a relaxer when I need a break from sewing. I can put it in my purse and take it with me which is great!
Sue said that you do not actually sew through the paper, so you should be able to lift the fabric and pull the paper template right out as long as you haven't used too much glue. :) I hope this helps!
First no sound and then very soft hard to hear. Last tutorial for this paper piecing had low sound also. Not sure why. Interesting tutorial. Thanks for sharing.

Those quilts are simply gorgeous! thanks for sharing.
I love this quilt!!! Absolutely beautiful! I also love the little mini quilt with the scallops on the right side of the set.
Stunning!!! I love paper piecing!!!! Thanks for the fun tutorial!!!!
Thank you for breaking this down into easy steps. Love how all the pieces come together like a puzzle. Great tutorial!

Love your designs and tutorial on EPP!

M Middleton I still use cereal boxes! Hehe
i am brand new to quilting and just watched this video. I am ignorant/confused... what happens to the paper if u wash ur blanket down the road??
You take the papers out after you finish the block. At least I do.
Got it! I thought i was missing something lol
my favorite paper material is recycled birthday cards
WOW! Now that would be an heirloom quilt that I would not take on a picnic! I wish I was the kind of person who could sit in front of the TV and hand sew the evening away to make something that is so very beautiful.
You might try it even with scraps. It's possible to surprise yourself. ;)
When does she remove the paper when putting the blocks together. WiIl the paper come out easily when it is glued.?
Fantastic video Jenny and Sue! Well explained and interesting and you make it look so easy! I have ordered a pattern with all the templates and paper pieces and mirror and needles from your shop here in Australia Sue - can't wait to get started!
Isn't it so exciting to try something new!? Let us know how things turn out.

wow, this is SPECTACULAR, so rich and colorful, will surely try it....this would be amazing as a wall hanging say 30 x40 perhaps,
I love Epp it so relaxing. how do I get the patterns for the quilts especially the quattro?
Very pretty, BUT, with my computer at Max volume, I bearly could hear what was being said. Thank you Jenny for asking your guest questions about their projects. With out them, I for one would of been at a loss of what to do, or how If I so desired to try that project. YOUR THE BEST!!!..
Quel travail magnifique ! bravo !
Thank you!
Me encanto esta tecnica. Preciosa

I'll search for just a small project & buy the templates. The one suggested is not considered English Paper Piecing. Thanks
Thank you so much 😊 that is so amazing 😉. I don't think I'll be having a go real soon 😲👍👏
i have ordered some more things. is misouri star going to have more things from Sue. i love doing this paper piecing.
Lovely. How does using the glue affect hand quilting these projects?
What size paper was used in this project? I want to try making it. Thanks for all the tutorials.
I am almost halfway through this project and need some more papers. Can I order more papers from you? They are an odd size and hard to find. Thanks!
Stunning ❤❤

Debbie, I'm not understanding your question. Can you rephrase it maybe?
Debbie Reynolds the paper comes out when you sew them together and then it can be reused. I think the easiest way would be to make each "flower" at a time so you don't need 50 papers for each color
LOVE this! COOL!
Do you carry Sue's items in the shop? Where would I look on the website?
I too am interested in what fabric line was used.
That is Beaujolais- Sue Daley's fabric line. Follow this link for the whole collection: bit.ly/EPP_QuatroColourYT
Wawowawiwa! so beautiful!!!
I have found, instead of holding the pieces front to front, hold them side by side and sew from the back, you have less stitches showing on the front.
Are the rows made on point?
Sigh.... Quattro Colour is my dream EPP project! Although, it does look terribly cute in the Vintage Daydream collection too!!
beau j'adore merci pour tes vidéos vous m'avais aide beaucoup
I am so glad you found this helpful!
What type of thread do I use for sewing together?
can each piece be machined together
Hi folks at MSQC the supplies are unavailable, when will they be????Thanks.
Sorry about that, Mario. If you add the items to your wishlist we will send you an email as soon as we get them back in stock. Sue Daley's fabric line, however, will not be coming back in stock. :( I hope this helps and appreciate your patience with us!

Will you please do a tutorial on paper piecing for curved shapes? Pretty pleeze??? :))
So, is posible i can sew together the pieces in the sewing machine using the zigzag?
I'm sure you could, but the purpose of English Paper Piecing to have little to no stitches showing. But feel free to try it how ever you please! :)
molto bello ma questi strumenti si trova in Italia ?dove grazie👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍💐

Jenny could you please change your templates to a clear color? It would sure make it easier to see what you are doing. Thanks
Looks great but I'm not that patient. Too tedious. Kudos to those who have the patience!
Sewing and making quilts is my first passion, and although I am new to EPP, I just love it! I did not start it to make a quilt, but as a relaxer when I need a break from sewing. I can put it in my purse and take it with me which is great!
could you also appliqué with this design?
Absolutely!
How do we take the papel out?
It just pulls out as long as you don't have a big lump of glue in there. the glue isn't that strong.
priscila brine - you're not sewing through the paper. it's just there to form your shapes
Sue said that you do not actually sew through the paper, so you should be able to lift the fabric and pull the paper template right out as long as you haven't used too much glue. :) I hope this helps!
Wish camera could have zoomed in more. It was hard to see details but beautiful.
Sorry about that. We are taking notes for next time we film such a tedious project.
First no sound and then very soft hard to hear. Last tutorial for this paper piecing had low sound also. Not sure why. Interesting tutorial. Thanks for sharing.
Must not be a universal sound issue - sound was fine for me. :(
Sorry you are having trouble with sound. Maybe check your computer or device that you are on. Also, make sure the video sound itself is up.
Very pretty quilt but EPP is just not my thing. It takes to long to make anything and I'd just get bored with the whole process.
Same here Linda! The quilts are beautiful, but the process for me was just not my cup of tea. Very boring.
Gorgeous, Gorgeous quilts! But there is just too much hand sewing.
Me too! Gosh, I would never get to the knicker knot.. I'd be bored and frustrated before I even cut all the fabric with those tiny templates. Phewwwww
Sharon Pucci no longer
I love the video thank you. ❤
Gorgeous, but I have to admit I am way to impatient to attempt this.

You might be surprised how relaxing it is. Jenny thought the same thing and now she does it while watching tv and in the car on long drives.
❤️❤️
👍❤️😊
So all hand sewing of whatever you are making.
Shame that the camera person was clueless as to the process. So much useful viewing was missed.
