As an Outlander (and proud of it) to Dagoth Ur and all the lore around morrowind , Dj is more modern, blunt, angry, and very racist. Z&Z is more in character compared to Dj, is not as angry and as racist. I like both unique takes on Dagoth.
I still love that the forces of Oblivion were so outmatched by the Argonians that they suffered a counter invasion so wildly successful that Dagon had to abandon the Black Marsh invasion entirely for fear of angry lizard men rampaging throughout Oblivion.
A roast of the alliance war factions in ESO would be fun. All the leaders are unqualified to the point of incompetence and the high elf queen is ironically the youngest one (a 28 year old).

That bit about the Argonians pulling an uno reverse card on Mehrunes Dagon really is the coolest bit of Elder Scrolls lore. It's interesting they gave the farming implementa and their Histresses one of the most badass moments in the extended IP. Even the man with the golden bedpan for a face couldn't help but mention it.
Dear mighty and powerful Dagoth Ur, I would be filled with wonder and joy to hear your sermon on the antagonists of the individual factions. Your glory and wisdom is truly unmatched, who would deny listening to your sermons. What an act of intoxicating innocence would that be.
1. Dagoth did nothing wrong. The Tribunal were the real antagonists. Even Sotha Sil more or less admits that they kind of had it coming. 2. As relatively underdeveloped as they are, to be fair to Skyrim's antagonists: A) Alduin didn't know the Dragonborn was the prisoner that was about to be existed and he didn't kill the Dragonborn earlier because he didn't consider them a threat and *he was right* , because literally the only way we are able to actually hurt him is by learning Dragonrend. NOTHING ELSE WORKED. B) Harkon's plan was stupid, yeah. But that's kind of the point. He is so *obsessed* with the prophecy that he's become completely unhinged and self-destructive. Which, when coupled with the stories Serana and Valerica tell us about him, makes him a touch more tragic since, at least after they all became vampires, they were a pretty functional family. C) Miraak was interesting mainly cause he was a dark mirror of what the Dragonborn could be if they continue to grow in power , but without the discipline and wisdom to temper it. Somehing Hermaeus Mora preys on.
Well, Dagoth was intending to genocide all Outlanders. That's pretty villainous. On top of that, eventually turning all remaining dunmer into his ash slaves. That said, the Tribunal was as much villains as he is, and the Nerevarine is completely justified in toppling their asses lol.
You know what really annoys me about Miraak? When you first meet him he uses one second of the "Sparks" spell to down you. Wouldn´t it be much cooler if he used "Bend Will" on you and then you go down, unable to fight back? Actually SHOW why you need the knowledge of this shout to face him and have it not be an instant win for him.
@@patrickn.4113Miraak was poorly written i hated him, coulda been so much better. Id've rather had the Dragonborn DLC based on Ebony Warrior instead(which we dont know if he's even Dragonborn but there's evidence to suggest he is) imagine a completely mysterious enemy with the Warriors goals, fighting for dragon souls and i guess it would make him seem more malicous but it woulda been better imo. Aprochapha is hideous and the woodland man(hermaus mora) is extremely annoying.
I wonder why he waited so long. You're coming down from the mountain pass from riften to Helgen when he intervenes, meaning that you likely crossed the border from either morrowind or Bruma-way. Either way, you crossed about half of skyrim before he decided to show up.
@lokensicarius9347 you know alduin was punching the air after he realized he got sent forward in time and just so happened the moment he decided to stretch his wings he freed his arch nemesis
Dagoth is the only TES antagonist who's got a reasonable and sympathetic goal, as well as the only one who conveys that goal with the charisma befitting a cult leader.
To be fair, you don't have to like the tribunal to complete the game, and them hating your is very likely. By destroying the heart, the nerevar-born-again may also be trying to kill the tribunal for their betrayal, and just taking out 4 birds will one stone.
A lot of Morrowind YTers and fans seem to forget that Dagoth's problem isn't the Tribunal, it's the Empire. Dagoth dislikes the Tribunal because they weren't racist enough against the imperials and has allowed Morrowind to be taken over by the Empire. Due to this, you, the Nerevarine cannot side with him as your whole point in the first place is to be shipped into Vvardenfell to strengthen the empire and you're being watched by Blades spies wherever you go so you can't stray.
Always remember; the only reason that the Argonians were able to repel the invasion was because the Hist realized that their subjects couldn't protect them against the Daedra without some help. Because whether an Argonian is farming saltrice or cultivating a Hist tree, at the end of the day they're literally nothing but farm tools. If the Hist cared about losing some workers to the great houses, they would have buffed the Argonians millennia ago.
Achieving CHIM is to know that the Tribunal are the true major antagonists of Morrowind; in both the sense of the game and of the land. What a grand and intoxicating sermon. S-Tier.
