- Dagoth Ur is back to Honor the Sixth House and the Tribe Unmourned! He goes over the protagonists of Each Elder Scrolls game, including Arena, Daggerfall, Battlespire, Redguard, Morrowind, Elder Scrolls Travels Series, Oblivion, Skyrim, and a little bit of Legends and Elder Scrolls Online. He does not like any of the protagonists, not even Nerevar! He goes over the Last Dragonborn and the Hero of Kvatch in more detail. This Elder Scrolls Lore video was made thanks to Eleven Labs AI.

Nah man, let’s romance them.
Waaaay better option.
Dagoth Ur is a tragic victim of the tribunal, I only destroy the heart to save him from his own insanity. Long live the 6th House
Best soul for enchanting you can get
I love how passively Dagoth talks about Nerevar despite him ruining his plans and constantly bothering him with Argonian or Khajit reeincarnations.
He is still his moon and star, despite everything. Dagoth will always love Nerevar even after his "betrayal", I'm sure he understands the position of the Nerevarine not being able to remember his past lives. Dagoth was nice and understanding despite his terrible goals, because he knew and respected that Nerevar didn't agree with him.
Dagoth is a tsundere.
@@chadharger9323 The best Tsundere

@@draco5991rep no he just likes looking at the heart over a nice plate of kwama eggs (*prefferably with the nerevar*)
'Get's rejected by a vampire goth girl daddy issues'. Why must you hurt me this way, Dagoth? That's a low blow.
I just like how after the very first MC in Arena, Uriel Septim just decided to browse every prophecy and criminal records and go "I wonder if this guy's a prophetic hero"
Hero of K'vatch is the only protagonist I felt was truly open to interpretation. You could pick any race and background without feeling like the lore was being broken.
lorewise, the Hero of Kvatch is an Imperial Knight and his birthsign is the warrior actually.
@@Super50ldier Yes, but you can choose whatever you want and it will still make sense with HoK. None of the other protagonists really work that way.
@@StudleyDuderight Why do you say that? It makes sense for the Hero of Kvatch to be an Imperial Knight just as it makes sense for the Hero of Daggerfall to be a Breton Knight, the Nerevarine to be a Dunmer and the Last Dragonborn to be a Nord.
@@Super50ldier Because HoK doesn't need to be an Imperial for the lore to make sense. It isn't dependent on culture specific lore like Dragonborn and Nerevar. Any citizen of the empire could have been Akatosh's chosen champion.
@@StudleyDuderight Hero of Kvatch isn't Akatosh's chosen champion. He does specifically need to be an Imperial for the lore to make sense as he's the Champion of Cyrodiil and the Second Divine Crusader since he's the Hero of his race, the Imperials.
Hermeas Mora is the Deadric Prince of Forbidden Knowledge, and has an entire realm decked out as an endless library suffering from severe depression. How much do you want bet, Lord Dagoth Ur of the Sixth House and the Tribe Unmourned that somewhere in Apocratha that he has an entire section dedicated to the most filthiest of smut material ever known on Mundus, or even in Oblivion? And that, for services rendered Hermeas might let his champion have a quick peek at his secret stash every once in a while? And yes, a lot more goes on in the Lusty Argonian Maid series that was never published too.
To me Mora comes off as an 'online expert' but is in truth the fat adult still living in his parent's basement. He tries to say how powerful he is but he's quite impotent by the time of Skyrim. He needs the help of one crazy the Dragonborn to get his bargain bin discount Necronomicon out that Dwemer Lockbox. That book had to be locked away long before Oblivion Crisis and the resulting shutting close of the Doors to Oblivion.Tells me that Mora should've been able to unlock the box one way or another before Oblivion during a time when the Princes basically had full reign of Nirn.
Oh, and lets not forget the Black Books. What a waste of inventory space and carry weight they are. By the time Dragonborn canonically gets to the island he is already a one person army. The perks end up being either useless or redundant. The only good perk is the one that prevents Dragonborn from hurting his companion during battle BUT it doesn't prevent the companion from getting angry to the point of attacking Dragonborn or running away never to be seen again. The worst thing however is that they don't work outside of the island. You can take all the other Daedric Artifacts everywhere else including Soul Cairn and they work no matter what. The Black Books on the other hand. . .really. . .gotta keep making return trips?
Then there is Mora's form. The majority of Princes are stereotypical demons like Dagon and Molag. Some are very beautiful and attractive like Azura and Nocturne. Others are the literal stuff of nightmares like Vaermina and Namira. . . .then there is Mora who chose to be tentacle monster. . .and we should all know what happens there! Is it any wonder that MIraak wants to get the heck out of Apocrypha?!
Brb selling my soul
Not just smut, but also stuff Daddy Dagoth doesn't even know existed.
The book Skeletor could write on stuff his henchman doesn't know? Mora has it!
The collection of tomes on content that was cut when Mundus was created? Mora has it!
But then, his preferred appearance as hentai carpet has to come from somewhere...
@@chadharger9323 dwemer box probably has some anti-magi/anti-everything tonal architecture going on since they like to fuck with gods alot. also the book was literally written by the god of wizards so the book itself probably resists mora.

You mean the 36 sermons of Vivec?
Canonical rumour - most self aware game character ever.
Also, damn, I think he took the existence of Last dragonborn personal.
Well he is an incarnation of a false god.
Kind of matches how Morrowind-is-better types treat Skyrim.
He is just jealous because he was never able to master the art of swearing in dragon so hard that it warps reality.
I like to think the hero of kvatch wasnt just driven insane by the story beats, but also how bizarre cyrodiil's citizens behaved just for that nice bit of 4th wall shattering.
"Which Elder Scrolls protagonist are you?"
"I started as a prisoner and then became a hero."
"Do you have the slightest idea how little that narrows it down?"
Okay, so not the Daggerfall protagonist, then.
@@theawickward2255 They might not have started in chains, but they still had to escape a dungeon at the start.
7:44 Little did Daddy Dagoth know, the Last Dragonborn has actually installed the Conquest of Skyrim mod by galvatron304.
Lol
Ooh what a clueless little Dagoth
Indeed, what a grand and intoxicating innocence.
the hero of kvatch had the most tragic storyline becoming the thing he fought so hard against
I made a whole video on that
Idk, Sheogorath seems much more lucid and benevolent in Skyrim than previously. Like he was fixing Pelagius’s madness
Man it seems dagoth has some respect for the hero of Kavach
Dunmer aren’t big fans of mehrunes dagon, so he probably likes that
21 Years later and I'm still salty you cant join the Sixth House in Morrowind.
Honestly I never really took in account that our character in Oblivion was insane before the Shivering Isles quest line, and it makes sense why for a mortal after everything. Next time I play through oblivion I think I’ll role play with that idea in mind
I always liked roleplaying my characters in TES. When I played Oblivion, I thought that the events my character lived through caused him to lose his sanity.
Imagine stepping into the plane of Oblivion, where you literally see horrors beyond human comprehension, getting out of there by sheer miracle, only to be forced back once more.
Being forced back like 10 times minimum and also they pop into existence every time you go for a ride in the forest around anvil
With that sort of context, its no wonder Uncle Sheo was so easy to mantle. The hero of Kvatch, over the course of the main plot, saves the refugees of a sacked city filled with daedra, dragged a cult out into the light for all to see, fought across several planes of oblivion, and acquired the relics of the greatest elf killer of all time.
Dagoth: "You keep picking Khajiit and Argonian just to spite me!"
Me who plays either Breton or Altmer: "Huh?"
Breton?
"You keep choosing Khajiit and ARgonian just to spite me these days." *goofy laughs* And Khajiit'll fuckin do it again!
Skyrim was about restoring the ward that was lost on the death of the last Septim. Tiber Septim was also Dragonborn and his blood along with the amulet prevented Mundus from being invaded by Daedra. The whole plot of Skyrim is to recreate the bloodline that kept Mundus safe. But this time the divines had a much better plan. To fully honor the 6th house and tribe unmourned they made a new Dragobron, but this time his soul would be infused with hundreds of dragons and that of the world eater himself. Now the new bloodline wouldnt need an amulet again, one so easily stolen from a chest. All the decendants of this Dragonborn would keep Mundus much safer than Tiber Septim ever did.
Now being the new Dragonborn, the war for Imperial dominance can begin again. Since the Dragonborn has a legitmate claim to the Imperial Throne and mongrel dogs of the Thalmor would be ousted out of the White Gold tower. Skyrim's whole story is to spawn a new emperor stronger than Tiber Septim ever was, one that would ascend above Tiber Septim in the pantheon. That's the whole irony of the treaty the elves made with the human empire. They banned the worship of Talos and inadvertently made a much more powerful human to ascend into godhood like Moon and Star.
you dont eat the world eater Akatosh takes his soul
And with access to Apocrypha, and blessing of Hermeas Mora, it is fair to assume Dragornborn can become practically immortal if he wants to.
I like this possible end of the dragonborn a lot! Him being a servant of Hermaous Mora doesn t sound like a very happy ending.
@@svenvogelaar6931 ty! makes a lot of sense as well canonically
@@svenvogelaar6931 Thing with Hermeas Mora is, he doesn't even care if Dragonborn obeys him or not. The Gardener of Men only cares about collecting knowledge and releasing it onto Mundus when he sees fit, and his champions are tools for that. You can tell him to F off during his quest in Skyrim, and he just mocks player for thinking this refusal changes anything.
Dragonborn as a Dunmer is superior in any way but they should've made you and Nerevarine both protagonists and that u dispose of Mongrel dogs and false gods and install 6th House and labor laws troughout Tamriel
I almost always play Dunmer in Skyrim.
There is a great fanfic called “Dragon from Ash” in which the main protagonist is a Dunmer Dragonborn. Highly recommended.

In regards to the vestige I wish some things were more explained. I remember asking the lore Reddit once about how it worked and if the vestige is still mortal or not. And essentially it boiled down to ”Just go with your own interpretation because there is so much up in the air and many implications”. So essentially a daedric made, immortal demigod who is constantly bothered by at least 1 Daedric Prince on a yearly basis.

I wanna see a Sheogorath-Dagoth Ur collab.
Hero of K'Vatch and The Last Dragonborn, tell Sheogorath to idk, throw a moon onto Vivec City so maybe Dagoth Ur will be happy or something. Need to see this collab.
Something I found interesting about the Dragonborn is that there's a theme of them being too strong for their own good.
They're basically a shonen protagonist, constantly craving greater and greater challenges but with very little being able to scratch that itch that is within reason.
And, eventually, it gets to the point where even the literal World Eater and another Dragonborn can't kill him.
The Ebony Warrior even sort of reflects this. Being an opponent that *also* feels like he's seen and done everything, yet is bored by the lack of a proper challenge.
And Hermaeus Mora, with his infinite library of knowledge, could provide that if Bethesda decides to use that route to remove the Dragonborn from the plot of the next game.
I feel like the next protag is a redguard swordsinger
Why do I have the feeling that the Ebony Warrior is the hero of a different story. Another brave adventurer who took out to save the world from unseen disaster, only to end up completely op. The kind of hero who is bored and runs around naked in the starting village to punch trolls with his fists. The one who casts levitate and fortify acrobatics on random travelers just to see them yeet to the atherial plane, despite both not being a thing in Skyrim.
@@HappyBeezerStudiosSaitama from One-Punch Man?

In any case, if it wasn't for simple times and restricted magic, the Champion of Cyrodiil would've probably become something greater than a mere Deadra, and possibly exterminate the High Elves army out of existence once the war begins.
And he and the Dragonborn would probably take over the Empire to make the grand ruling of Mortal Gods all over Mundus and beyond.
At the end, since he became crazy and that Dragonborn is Hermaeus Mora employee of the month, the World would pretty much become a distopia.
Dagoth Theory Time!
I love the fact that, according to canon, Uriel Septim VII during his reign randomly browsed through the prisoner list, picked 3 random prisoners and told them "I have a good feeling about you, go and stop this unstoppable force, potentially on the apocalyptic scale, world rest on your shoulders, hope it goes well for you"
