The round Enya uke kicked off Enyas notoriety a few years back in the summer here in the UK. It was avaliable on Amazon special offers from about £4.99 I bought it at £19.99 and the price increased every time one sold which it did rapidly. It was all the rage and introduced me to hpl which I love. I also have the Enya baritone and guitar. The round uke suffered from lack of volume but made it a good option to practise at night so not to bother other people too much.
I have the MS Solid Mahogany in Blue and it is my favorite plus it’s a low G. My second is the MS Solid Mahongany in natural with a regular G. Both I purchased because of your reviews and recommendations and they are both great instruments. I think the Blue w/low G has a better sound but that could just be my ears. I upgraded from a Donner beginner Uke about two years ago and while there are some other pretty ukes out there these seem to fit my needs and I don’t think I’ll be adding anymore, although I do get tempted at times. Plus, I only play about 2-3 hours a week and don’t think I could work a third into my repertoire on a frequent enough basis to justify it, let alone where to hang it. I’ve got Uke hangars on a small wall by my desk and (fortunately) there’s no room for both. Keep up the great work and thanks for continually bringing so much great content.
YOU are an amazing teacher. I can't wait for my next check to buy your work books. My roommate who's a guitar player thinks I'm insane for wanting more than one ukulele. I bought my first learner a Martin a few years ago and you've inspired me to finally learn. My intention was to beef up my uke skills to build my mandolin skills up. Now I want something with better sound in a nice wood. I found a pineapple Duke Kahanamoku for under 200 dollars in perfect shape. Do you think I did good for my second uke? I've also got my eye on a camp. 🤫 They take up so little space compared to guitars. The cost is so much lower too. How could you not want to own at LEAST 7?

I am a firm believer that no matter the cost, low or high, if you love what you got, it’s the right uke for you!
