- As the leader of the Sons of Korhal, Arcturus Mengsk brought about the destruction of the Terran Confederacy and went on to hold the Terran Dominion within his cold-hearted grasp. As a co-op commander, Mengsk radiates an intimidating, tyrannical atmosphere to enforce his will with total impunity.
"With a barrage of 41 warheads, because 40 is just not enough."

How's is no one taking about the fact that Kevin was brought back to do the voice over for the Mengsk and Deathwing trailers for StarCraft and Heroes of the Storm respectively. His voice over is the best reason why these trailers sound so good.
More than half the comments were about Kevin in the Deathwing trailer lol. He really cemented his legacy with HotS, moreso than SC2.
I totally agree with you, I love Kevin's voice!
It's more likely he already did this before he left.
he talked on his twitter how he will not be working on dev stuff anymore, but will be lending his voice. which is still fine by me :)

Turns out the creep rule was just a union based building code, not a physical structural limitation imposed by creep.

Ironically, he ended up being so defensive, some attack maps he can finish in defense.

if you read the books Mengsk is very cunning and calculating, its too bad they turned him into a mad maniac with hitler-like tendencies in SC2

Custom voice lines aren't uncommon.
Example: Play as Alarak on the Chain of Ascension Co-Op Map and Ji'nara's dialogue changes.

It would be cool to see some dialogue between them since SHE killed him, along with Raynor too. Maybe something that kind of relates to how she wants to kill him and he's like "Don't even try you monster"
Probably not...... We still don’t have any interaction between two commander, I mean, Raynor and tychus don’t have any additional voice line

For those of you who didn't see Mengsk showcased at Blizzcon, look carefully at the flying siege tanks in the background 2:18. They hit air units.
Yes~ if they are lifted by a medivacs, while still in siege mode, they can hit air units.

This commander is actually based on two mechanics from Warcraft 3: Hero units and the human Call to Arms.
I do miss the individual unit talent progression mechanic from C&C. This is a cool callback.

They took the idea from Command and Conquer and Warhammer 40K Dawn of War, is not innovation, however is still fun.
How is this innovation? Command and Conquer has done this for so many years.
Which parts? I was mostly responding to the ability for new soldiers to pick up the upgrades and abilities of the dead soldiers. I thought that was really cool.
I haven't played a CC game since Red Alert 2 and I wasn't aware that it was a part of that franchise, sorry.

He narrated the heroes of the storm hero spotlights. He was unfortunately let go by blizzard but it seems he has just recently reprised his role. This is great because his voice is beloved by many

from the time when the co-op mode is released I always wanted to play as Mengsk, though I thought it'd be somewhat difficult to become true. well the dream is finally here. you can finally play as the old terran dominion itself.

I know I am not the only one getting mix of C&C: Red Alert 2(or 3) and W40K IG with this commander. Not that it is a bad thing, but I hope the units have a slight change of dialogue for them.
Also, I kind of wish it was 42 warheads instead of 41, along with a line after dropping the nukes being, "Don't forget your towel." but that would be an obscure reference.

New commander: dugalle with the controlled overmind
You start with the overmind, controlled zerg and UED troops, and you are able to control both factions. Units are: scv, marine, medic, lurker, hydralisk, goliath, ultralisk, BC, scourges, defiler, guardian and science vessels. Abilities: spawn cerebrate (kind of command center, but zerg), cooldown torrasque (which takes a lot of pepper to bring it down), 500dmg infested terrans and short period invulnerable zerg buildings/units (they are pumped by nearby cerebrates)
The terran units can be upgraded, but the zerg only can be upgraded by rescuing drop-pod scientists and medics on the map
