- I struggled to find a great case for the FM9. I tried a few recommended cases and they didn't fit my needs well enough. I finally found a great solution with the 22-24155 Multicomp PRO Weather Proof Case from Newark.

You should check the Evergreen Seahorse 920. Heavy duty like Pelican, but with wheels. Also, try coating the foam with a light coat of plasti-dip spray. It will rubberize the foam and help it last much longer and not come apart.
Interesting thought using the plasti-dip. I'll have to check it out!
Just an FYI, you don’t need a drop pedal. Your FM9 does that!
It doesn't track as well as the Drop Pedal does. I wish it did, but it's really noticeable if I play clean chords. It's passable with heavy distortion though.
OMG Dustin, this is the exact video I was looking for..... the big question I always had was, "Can I fit both of my EV2 in this?" and by looking at your bottom layout, that is TOTALLY possible?
I wish I could post a photo here! On the Fractal Audio forums, I posted a close-up photo of the height in relation to the foam. if you wanted to check it out before you buy.
hi dustin.. can this case can in to airplane cabin?
After using this case for an FM9 for about 4 months, the handle actually broke off as I was carrying it. It's a shame because the case is otherwise perfect.
There was another comment down below where that happened. Maybe there was a back bunch. I've not been kind to mine and it working great.
Pretty nice but as a health conscious dude, I don't like all that toxic plastic in my home.
I ended up with a light weight and I think attractive Gator Gear and Accessory Bag. Model: Gator Transit GT-2412-GRY Your solution is better in that it will hold more gear, more securely and protect it better with the hard outer shell. I don't travel much so it's just for home and maybe in the car a few times a year to a friends house. There is a little extra room in the bag that can easily be taken up with Velcro dividers or padded gear.
Do you still like your FM9- if you have about $2k to drop today, what other modelers might you consider?
I have a video going over the Fm9, Helix, and the Quad Cortex if you'd like to check that out. The FM9 is my pedal of choice right now. I just wish it wasn't so large. They need to make an FM7.
I bought this case for my Fractal FM-3 and FC-6. The handle broke off within 2 weeks of use.
Huh, that’s no good. I’m sure they’d replace it for you.
I’ve used and abused mine since posting this video and it has been rock solid.
Do you think new case would be doable with an EV-1 pedal?
According to the forums, the EV1 is a bit taller than the EV2. You could cut some foam off the lid layer to help give it a bit of room.
@@DustinRadtke Didn’t even think of the top foam! Good looking out 😊
You would think Fractal would want to double their income and make cases (well at least add a lot to it)
Yeah or at very least partner with someone. Missed opportunity.
