From my experience the Telstra workforce are the most clueless and incompetent on top of inexperienced. Don't sack 3,000 only, sack 30,900 workers they are freaking useless but a nuisance
They already took a lot of jobs years ago, my sister was with them 25 years and they retrenched her in 2018 after she had trained a group of Indians to do her job. She was getting paid too much.
The argument that most of the workforce can retrain to work with AI is a bit of a joke.. 2800 axed in an instant! .
