As a music journalist and a fan of rockmusic, I have always loved to learn about "where it all started". From a previous interview I made with Dave Grohl (Roskilde Festival, Denmark, 2017) I know that one of his favorite "drum albums" is the album "2112" by Rush. But how did he eventually learn to play the drums himself? This excerpt from the Dave Grohl vs. Tiny TV interview, will give you the answer...
I've been a huge fan of Dave Grohl ever since I was a teen and fell in love with Nirvana. Dave was always very good at mentioning the bands he and Nirvana was inspired by. So because of the countless Nirvana interviews I watched over the years, I got to know bands like Pixies, Sonic Youth, Dead Kennedys, Flipper and Bikini Kill. That had a HUGE impact on my life and I do believe that I would not have become a music-journalist, had it not been for those Nirvana interviews. I think I watched "Nirvana Live Tonight Sold Out" more than 100 times 🖤🎸
