Another incredible example of a rarely shown label in the VC from one of the most inspirational collections in the VC. That may have been a run-on sentence Chris. But I was really trying to express what I wanted to say. {smile} I can honestly say that I may only have one record on this label. It is a Cecil Taylor live album that I am forgetting the title of at the moment. That was tops. Thanks for broadening my record knowledge~ Rob/Boston
Super interesting overview of your Leo records collection. Must admit most of these are unfamiliar to me but you’ve inspired me to explore some of those especially the Sergey Kuryokhin LPs which sound very intriguing. Lovely stuff.
Great Gimme video Chris, about month ago i saw in store record Industrial Strenght by the label but didnt grab it, dont know why, maybe it was too free or something, lol. Cheers.
Chris, I'm happy to see you spotlight the excellent Leo Records label. The first Leo Records release that I listened to, was Keshavan Maslak's ''Loved By Millions'' in 1982, then came the Sergey onslaught! I need to explore Howard Riley's catalog, I don't own any of his albums, just have compilations with him appearing as a sideman. I liked the Max Nagl piece, never heard his music, but I know his name from his Hat Hut/ Hatology recordings. I saw the Evan Parker Trio, with Barry Guy and Paul Lytton , their ''chemistry'' was amazing, any recording by them is essential to me. Marilyn jumping into their unique soundscape makes perfect sense, she's a great shapeshifter!
Wow, I never even heard of Leo Records before. Kuryokhin sounded great. Popular Zoological Elements is a fantastic album cover! Amina sounded great too. The only artist you showed that I'm familiar with is Marilyn Crispell, due to her work with Joe Lovano. Fantastic stack of records and CDs Chris!
chris, tremendous stuff here... l only have a couple of lps on Leo, rarely seen around here... there is a reggie Workman session l've been keeping an eye out for with crispell, lake and cyrille.... nice show
I'm not familar with that Leo label although I've heard of some of those musicians ie. William Parker, Crispell, etc. I like Henry Kaiser too from what I've heard. Thanks Chris.

This looks like an interesting label. I checked and I have nothing from the Leo Records. No surprise!
Quite a few Leo titles I have been looking for especially the Tomasz Stanko titles but nothing on the label on the shelves here Chris.
Really dug the Myers LP. A bit of a Tyner/Alice Coltrane vibe in spots.

Thanks Dave. I have some William Parker due to my interest in Matthew Shipp, but I think that they are all on CD.
