I use the mAT 30 with my 450D and have done for the past 3 years. It is brilliant and tunes my highly compromised end fed half wave and vertical antennas with ease. No mistaking when it is tuning, the reliability of the device is amazing with a very infrequent need to retune as the antennas age.
Just tried the mAT-30 with an FT-857D for the first time, set Menu 20 + 85 to TUNER but cannot see "TUNR" display on FT-857 or see the "on line" light, even though the power light displays. Some instructions that work would be appreciated. Sent you an email via Ebay.
I've seen on various UA-cam videos that the mAT-30 has difficulties getting a low SWR on 20-meters with a Yaesu FT-891. Have you been aware of thus? Is there a remedy?
I purchased a new MAT-30 Tuner fir my FT-891. The SWR is 1:1,5 and 1:3.0. I am using MFJ1979 antenna. Even if I Bypass, the SWR is high. Wirhout the Tuner the SWR on MFJ1979 is 1:1,1. What is the issue?
QUESTION -- Using the tuner knob on the 891, can I scroll through the frequencies while the mAT-30 is "online"? Or, does it have to be "offline" while scrolling? The user manual says nothing on this. Thank you.
No matter if the tuner is Online or Bypass, you can change the frequency. If the tuner is in Online status, after the transmitter frequency is changed, the tuner will automatically retrieve the data corresponding to the current frequency from the memory and use it to match the LC.
@@mat-tunertuner4183 Also, while I scroll through frequencies with the tuner "online" I get an intermittent "wait" flash sign on most frequencies on my Yaesu FT-891. What does that mean? Thank you.

how we interface mAT-30 with other third party radios or what commands required on communication port?

@@Klaatu-ij9uz Means that the radio is "forcing" the tuner to recall the tuned memory for the frequency on the display
mAT-30 is supposed to be able to be used on FT-710, it will not work, all I get is a beep when you press tune.

Tuners sold after January 1, 2023 can only support FT-710, as this transmitter was only sold in China in 2023.
