Question: The red "wire" terminal is supposedly for a long wire? What type of wire is recommended? What would be the recommended measurement? (in mAT-180)
I have the 125E and have no issues with any RF noise and can't find any reference to this whilst doing an Internet search. Perhaps there's an issue with your PSU if the tuner is picking up noise from it.
The problem with this Chinese MAT- manufacturer that you do not get any answers on issues you might have. I got MAT-1500 that I damaged and no schematic and no answeres.

Regarding the MAT-40 is there a maximum, or ideal endfed wire length for operation of all the bands including 160M?
