for the record my setup including amp is the same as in the video will not drop swr below 2.5 whereas my internal tuner drops it 1.1.1

This tuner will not tune what my radios internal tuner will, ive tried reaching out to the supplied email address and no response to tech support nothing im returning for a refund

Can this tuner be used as a general purpose wire antenna tuner without having to use the additional control cable? My feed point is over 100 feet away and my radio is old style radio without band data output.

I use the mAT 30 with my 450D and have done for the past 3 years. It is brilliant and tunes my highly compromised end fed half wave and vertical antennas with ease. No mistaking when it is tuning, the reliability of the device is amazing with a very infrequent need to retune as the antennas age.

So every time when I switched the amp off our reduce the power we have to restart by using the switch on the backside? That is not very handy.

Make a proper length / tuned antenna and you won’t need this thing. I learned to do it by myself @ age 14, if that.

I think the culprit here is NOT holding the "Tune" button long enough! It must be a "long" duration (a few seconds) press.

The bar should mark the max for longer. And maybe add a yellow mark showing the median power output.

Something is puzzling me, what's the rationale behind having 2 batteries and USB charging instead of a standard 12/13.8V input? I mean if this thing would be 200gr I'd say, ok you can bring it portable but at 1.2kg it stays in the shack and now we have to suss out a different way to power it? There must be a reason I dont see!

mAT-30 is supposed to be able to be used on FT-710, it will not work, all I get is a beep when you press tune.

Can the tuner be operated with older tube amplifiers, e.g. an Ameritron AL-80B? As you are no doubt aware, voltage peaks can occur on the PTT line.

I have a Ft 891 and an FC 50 tuner for 2 years and never had this issue at all your video is misleading and you either are not pushing the button correctly or long enough or the link cable or is not inserted properly into the radio or FC50 tuner or this relates to your radio only

I ask, does the control cable for the mAT-40 Automatic Antenna Tuner also work at a distance greater than 10 meters? I live on the ground floor, the block is 14 meters long, if I put a 20 meter UTP cable, does it work?

I bought one of these and it did not work properly,,, the LDG 1000Pro2 is a better choice

"brands" what's he talking about? It's "bands" not brands. In addition, why not use a constant CW signal rather than "ahhhhhhh". This is basic stuff guys, do your homework.

When tuning a frequency, do you transmit on SSB, or AM?

Seems to be a great addon wit a lot of features but ssb mode no avg/pep for me it's a big missing, so what i read was half power? correct only in cw/fm .. hope in the future with software upgrade can resolve the problem for ssb mode 73 de iz3qvb

The mAt-705 tuner works very well - small and quiet. Mind you, you'll need to keep charging it. I get about 7 hours of contesting between charges. Another option is the LDG Z-100plus tuner. Very minor point for your future videos, the text should be "band" not "brand" but everyone knows what this means.
