At 11:34 John looks up and smiles as if to say to God, "Yes, we know, this is the greatest song of all-time". This song fills me up with so much emotion. It makes me feel scared, it makes me want to cry, and it makes me joyous. This is truly one of the greatest compositions ever made, and I'm glad I live in this time so that I can hear it and enjoy it. Thank you Dream Theater.
Thank you so much for making this available. It was almost as good as being there. Wonderful to see Mangini as part of the family. Thank you again for posting.
You have just witnessed some of the best rock musicians all on stage together. There will never be another group like Dream Theater! Long Live DT! Great video.. excellent quality.
Petrucci, sos mi héroe......que canción,por el amor de Dios!!!hace más de 20 años que esta banda es parte de mi vida, y me gusta como el primer día!!!!
Very good cam (bit too much shaky), superb sound (jack in the mix?) and offcourse fantastick guys from DT! I can`t help but I felt like I am right in the place... even some tears appeared... thanx Fetisov, very much! And thanx DT, you made my day!
Damn, I always thought that's Jordan on the board thingy from 11:30 to 14:30. I guess when they were recording John was like: Hey I can also do this slow emotional vibrato like you did in Octavarium, but on a guitar!
Man thanks for the video, really nice quality too. I feel so weird without mike behind the drums, but mr mangini does a great job and he will embraced by the fans.
I'm a fellow drummer, and I've been fascinated with Mangini's symmetrical tom setup for years before he joined DT. All I can say is, it works for him because he invented his own system. We can scratch our heads and call his method inefficient, but he's following his own path and yes, he's constantly challenging himself. We, as drummers (and all musicians) should aspire to do the same. Cheers!
anyone watching this if you cannot see the joy in these guys faces..the satisfaction...they know their craft...they are so critiqued yet so damn amazing....
it was last sunday on minimax(polish radio 3 program-Trojka).what a beautiful music!and what a hapiness to be polish and to have an opportunity to be known with this kind of music on MINIMAX and NOC MUZYCZNYCH PEJZAZY. .
@MarkBarronHimself There were a few very special moments during this masterpiece. Unique, fantastic, sensational. Great to have been part of it.... \m/
I was specting this song being play from MM, just excelent!! im also would like to see constant motionm,a nigthmare to remeber and stream of consciousness live.. Thanks for sharing men.. Great video!
David Cohen Well, what they were probably talking about was the fact that MM has a metronome running into his ear so that he doesn't play any faster or slower than on record, much unlike MP.
@InfraredDream Thanks, my pleasure! It was getting tough towards the end, also to manoeuvre around the heads, between the arms and hands of the people. But was so worth it. Brings back many feelings and emotions
I saw them last year with Portnoy and they finished the show with this great song. In 2000, i saw also saw them and they played "Learning to Live" & "A Change of Seasons" completely, lucky me! Greets from Mëxico.
this song always have chemistry in me.,dunno why i could cry by this song., not tears of sad but of joy, tell me to keep moving on my life, make me strong and happy.,thx DT for the awesome piece of music.,\m/
@Fetisov45 Yeah, definately worth it! Especially for all of us - a chance to get the first impression of how they look at the beggining of that tour, And I LOVE what I see!!!
@wahreHelden Good that you found your way here.... ;-) Of course I remember, was so worth it. So you can recover ont the view that I may have taken off you, when filming this masterpiece... ;-) Sehr gärn gscheeh!! ;-)
Felisov45 - You're camera gets GREAT audio! Not bad on the footage either bro. Thanks a lot! Especially since they DID NOT play this when I saw them at the Warfield on 9/24/11. I'm still a little bitter about it....
I've listen to that video again and again. And even if I like Mr.Mangini very much. You can hear it's missing something. There's is a slight change in the bpm. Listen very carefully around 3:58. They donsound as tight as they previously where. I remember feeling that when Derrick Sherenian, was playing live with DT. I guess I'll need to give them some time!!!!!! One positive thing, Mike drumset is awesome!!!!!!!
The fact of the matter is; if you closed your eyes, listened to this video and was told that this was recorded before Portnoy left - you wouldn't know any difference. Mangini covers Portnoy exceptionally well and I for one am extremely happy that he's part of Dream Theater now. A fantastic addition to the band.
@SAHBfan Sorry, I have to disagree with you. Having seen both shows live, the one in Zurich and Wolverhampton I can say that the Zurich version of this song had much more depth and athmosphere. This is the beauty of live concerts, they are never the same... ;-)

The intro its BEATIFUL💞

And the amazing outro
I cannot, I will not die without listening to this song live. I just cant...
Did you do it, mate?

I saw it live in Paris this April (2022) and it was just so amazing
I LOVE listening to this album when I'm getting ready in the morning, makes me feel calm and excited and inspired all at once. I
same. I listen to this song every moring too. but to keep track of time. I have to get ready in 20min.=run time of this song :p
Kelsie Slagle Damn, how long does it take you to get ready?
These lyrics bring a tear to my eye every time.
Apparently the story was a bit exaggerated
I really love the way everyone in the crowd sings the last part of the song, everyone was enjoying themselves!!!
a perfect performance of a perfect song
Thank you so much for making this available. It was almost as good as being there. Wonderful to see Mangini as part of the family. Thank you again for posting.
The first time I heard this song, it became a DT fav. One of the greatest musical combos in any history.

You have just witnessed some of the best rock musicians all on stage together. There will never be another group like Dream Theater! Long Live DT! Great video.. excellent quality.
Hallo admiraltatcher, Danke Dir!
THX bro !
No other band can do this live. Just amazing.
Very good cam (bit too much shaky), superb sound (jack in the mix?) and offcourse fantastick guys from DT! I can`t help but I felt like I am right in the place... even some tears appeared... thanx Fetisov, very much! And thanx DT, you made my day!
That mid solo is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard. That sudden transition. Those bends. Crazy crazy
amazing epic melody..thanks DT for this song
Great sound and video. Thanks for all these uploads from America!!!
Thanks for capturing this moment. The best count of tuscany recording on youtube.
Damn, I always thought that's Jordan on the board thingy from 11:30 to 14:30. I guess when they were recording John was like: Hey I can also do this slow emotional vibrato like you did in Octavarium, but on a guitar!
He uses a volume to get those cool swells, something Alex Lifeson used to do
Incredibly good quality for a crowdvid. well done.
finally a full length version of the Count. Thank you. Mangini sounds good
best quality ive seen so far! cheers dude
der beste song der truppe, und du hast mit abstand die beste liveaufnahme hier gemacht.danke
Thank you for the great recording and that you kept it till the end. Absolutely LOVE to see the way they left the stage! Classy! Thanks!
Man thanks for the video, really nice quality too. I feel so weird without mike behind the drums, but mr mangini does a great job and he will embraced by the fans.
I was so close to the stage, I could finally realize how beautiful James' eyes are ~ :D

Incredible video! Glad to see others appreciate it. Music is faultless and amazing.

One of the best longtracks ever.
Pure musical class,,100%,,,beautiful composition.
Brilliant footage, man! Thanks for letting us see it through your eyes... Now I'm going to lay down a bit. Too much emotion for one day ;). Cheers.
Great camera work and great audio. Thanks for this vid!
James LaBrie sounds incredible here... seems like he's gone to a point where he's a really established singer, and got over his voice injuries...!
Amazing performance
anyone watching this if you cannot see the joy in these guys faces..the satisfaction...they know their craft...they are so critiqued yet so damn amazing....
I love the last 8 minutes of the song. I always skip to it when i listen to this song because its just art ;-;

I saw this and the first two songs you listed in Worcester, Massachusetts with MP. Best night of my life
I would like to see them live someday! I heard they play exactly the same as the original song
David Cohen
Well, what they were probably talking about was the fact that MM has a metronome running into his ear so that he doesn't play any faster or slower than on record, much unlike MP.
Absolutely sensational!
wonderful song!!!!
@InfraredDream
Thanks, my pleasure! It was getting tough towards the end, also to manoeuvre around the heads, between the arms and hands of the people. But was so worth it. Brings back many feelings and emotions
You can see on their faces how much fun they have. DT best band ever!!
Great video of a great song!! Thanks

Wow, I didn't see the date and figured out that was Mangini until I saw the drum kit. Can't wait to watch them live and get a live DVD or Blu ray.
Never been a big fan DT, but this song is probably the best metal song I ve heard in the last decade, it's fucking awesome!

Felisov45 - You're camera gets GREAT audio! Not bad on the footage either bro. Thanks a lot! Especially since they DID NOT play this when I saw them at the Warfield on 9/24/11. I'm still a little bitter about it....
