i love how you’re not afraid to interact with locals and have a good laugh!! a lot of expats end up living in their own bubble but it seems like you’ve made tons of friends and it honestly warms my heart that everyone’s so friendly with each other ;)
This show is literally the only good show on UA-cam
Speaking local language is very important.
No need to worry if you go China every one Very Nice people and Very friendly they're don't Care from where you're you feeling safe
@@feihuo7874 yes!! it shows a deeper respect for the Chinese people and culture which is really great. I think that’s what makes her interactions so enjoyable!
Those lowai that only stay in their own bubble because they are not interested in local language, they came to China to teach what ever the job in their the contract, so they felt they are professional teacher not a learner, kind of superiority complex .
I don't know since when but I feel like you've got heaps and heaps more confidence with your vlogging than what I remember. Love it!
love the vibe of your video
China/Korea/Japan are so interesting to me... Love Asian culture!😀
OMG!!!!!!I miss my home so much! Glad you enjoy your stay in Guiyang
This is fascinating Amy. I always look forward to your videos. They just don't come fast enough!
Such an enjoyable video the customer service by the food vendors is amazing even offering free food, love how you interact with the locals and even strangers want to be your friend cause you are awesome 👌
Blondie have probably absorbed the powers of the Infinity Stones; she could time travel by merely snapping her fingers. 😂😂😂😂
Amy this video was amazing! So cool to see different street foods in China and I hope you had a great time :)
You’re the best vlogger ever :D ❤️
Ooo the anshan guo juan looks very similar to phở cuốn here in vietnam! It’s the same dough i persume, as there is a cuisine continuity in the area, but the filling is a bit different!
@6:22 amy looked like she just suffered from PTSD flashback from zhe'ergen. Love her positivity and optimism.
@8:21 Amy is thinking "am I being pranked? zhe'ergen again ?!"
@7:34 how awesome and random that a stranger approached Amy to be friends. It's encounters like these that makes life's experiences so enriching.
Fun , entertaining street food adventure vlog in #Guiyang !
Kidney bean on Rice. Reminds me of India, and Mexican dishes.
egg wrapped potato looks tasty, I'm drooling watching this, YUMMY
Glad you r able to escape the lockdown. Stay safe!
really nice to see Amy visiting Guiyang. If you are still there, try some spicy chicken Mipi(米皮)/sticky rice糯米饭. BTW, the lamb rice noodle or intestine rice noodle is so good. The local barbecue in Guizhou is also very different from other places.
We have heaps of car cafes in Melbourne! ( Australia)
Zheergen is awesome! Loved it the first time I had proper Sichuan food
Omg I love the content so much! I never been to Gui Zho but your video is so tempting! I must pay a visit to Gui Zho in coming future! Keep it up! Love the content so much!
Amy,我是贵阳人, 你去尝尝酸汤鱼火锅,豆米火锅和 酸粉。 童子鸡火锅 也很好吃。
The "strange friend rice" is basically mixing all the leftovers from last night's dinner into one dish, perfect for college students or if you forgot to buy your groceries. The guojuan looks similar to the Vietnamese spring roll which uses a thin, semi-transparent wrap.
guojuan is the original springroll. introduced to Vietnam by Chinese migrants.
Omg the egg potato thingy looks freaking delish
When Amy saw that it was Zhe Ergen who had been waiting for so long, she must have collapsed
Wow! Another great video Amy. Keep this up. Take care.
I want to try it
I miss travelling
"Yang yu" (potato) means "taro from the sea" and "fan qie" (tomato) means "foreign eggplant". Those plants originated in the American continents, so they weren't available in China (or Europe) until the late 1400s.
This show is literally the only good show on UA-cam.
You really did a great job
看了你的视频,心情好了很多,感谢~~
Almost every foreign vlogger will eventually turned into a food logger eventually LOL
洋芋
🤣🤣🤣 That's the plot twist I'll never think of.
7:34 is she hitting on you!!! lol
It would be amazing to see a Part 2 with the young lady who asked to add your wechat lol
Did you go to eat 肠旺面 and 糯米饭? They are my favorite breakfast😊😊😊
不吃肠旺面、牛肉酸粉、羊肉粉 几乎等于没来
哈哈,鱼腥草(当地俗称扎耳根),第一吃到我把店家骂了一通,说怎么给我吃臭鱼。😂
Kidney bean is actually mean “腰豆” or “芸豆”,“蚕豆”is actually broad bean or fawa bean.
You might want to check about it ,but still love you ~
cool
Yaoyu 😂😂😂😂😂 椒盐普通话
Hi Amy there's a famous food vlogger from Guiyang his name is 小翔哥 he's also super nice person. If you can collab with him while you're there that'll be super dope
Wow 👌 interesting
Hey Amy, have you tried to reach out 小翔哥?he is a food volger who is a Guiyang local. It would be great you 2 can collaborate 😍
Street food is best

Weird that I subscribed ages ago and never got notification of your uploads! Unless I clicked into your page and actually view it myself…Weird!!!
Is it just me or are Blondie's videos reaching a new level? Seriously, the way she's engaging the audience, vibing with the locals, snapping her fingers and commanding the camera. That was really fun to watch! Keep it up girl! Awesome video👍
thank you so much!!
Yeah, that "time switch" was a fun edit!
I think Aimy tries to train herself while streaming, which is very cool.
fax!
yummy yummy 地溝油
The interaction with that girl was really sweet.🥺
she's maybe lesbien
What an enjoyable video!!!😍 I love learning about the story of each food and the people making it. The locals are so welcoming, can't wait to visit China someday! Thanks, Blondie🥰
Yo Blondie, you continuously amaze with your ability to handle the ultra spicy, and a willingness to try anything. I know I'd wimp out, so here's to living vicariously through your vlogs. Hope to make it to China (or Australia!) one day when travels normalizes again. We need another Jasmine episode!. Have fun, stay well.
Thanks for the video, it's such a cuisine getaway for me as a oversea Chinese ;)
I'm a fan of 鱼腥草, so that 恋爱豆腐果 looks soo good! I love how friendly you are with locals. I still get a little annoyed when people just directly ask for my Wechat without having chatted with me first, but your reaction was so kind and open. ❤️ I'll remember that the next time that happens to me 😊
I may sound lil' abrubt but actually think it's just their way to break the ice. Even if you end up not giving the contact but just start a conversation with them, they'll still be happy because that's actually the purpose. Forgive people who take courage but without knowing an appropriate way of approaching because they don't really know about all foreigner's cultures. I actually appreciate a lot the brave step of that girl who seemed even shy as character. Just think that people, probably me included, sometime have to learn how to refuse with friendly attitude. For the rest all agree!
鱼腥草! OMG! I hate that! Make me cry
身边的朋友,尤其女性朋友好像都能接受鱼腥草,我闻到就想吐,被我列为反人类食物之一
@@牧野流云 我以前也不喜欢吃,天天吃就习惯了😂
@@FreshWaterBrook. oh I completely agree with you. My instinct is to be a little annoyed because it feels pushy, but I'm working on going against that and being open-minded since it's likely not the intent. I lived in Europe for as a young woman where it was very common for older creepy guys to try to get my number in a similar way, so it's hard not to relate back to that when it happens (even when it's an innocent young lady). That's why I loved Amy's reaction because she didn't close off, set a healthy boundary (asserting she wouldn't add Wechat without at least chatting a bit), and then shared a beautiful moment.
yangyu(洋芋) literally means potato. Specially, 洋 means "imported", 芋 means potato. B/c potato was imported to China originally, so it's called "Imported potato/洋芋" in many provinces.
芋 actually means "taro", which is a local plant in China.
and 洋 refers to "coming from oversea", which implys that this produce is not native to the land.
In southeastern China (Fujian region) we call potatoes 马铃薯 lol, whereas 土豆 refers to peanuts in 闽南语
In Guangdong, we called potato薯仔,called sweet potato番薯,called tomato 番茄。"番"also means that thing was imported. Actually, a lot of fruit and vegetable was not originally grew in China. The most famous one is chilli, which was imported from South America in Ming Dynasty.
@@kamingchau3643 廣東話一般叫“薯仔”😆
I wish your videos were longer. Please don't take that the wrong way; I just really look forward to watching them. When your video ends, I find myself willing you to come back on the screen.
Amy, another great video. I have been showing my family all the food you have tried in China, and we will come up with a list to try some of those dishes when we visit China next time.
Everything about this video is so positive and amazing. I fully enjoyed it. Thanks again Amy. Great vibes.
‘Lover Tofu Fruit’ is unique because it must be the only street food Amy has ever been both too late and early ordering it. :D
Zhe’ergen said hi 👋!
Awe that young lady who asked you for your WeChat was so sweet and forward. I’m not knowledgeable about much of the culture there, but maybe they’re a bit more forward with strangers? Either way it’s nice to see how accepting people are in China as a lot of countries seem less fond of foreigners. Too bad your favorite veggie is in everything there lol
i get the vibe she mightve been hitting on Amy. complementing her looks n stuff.
@@jasonlee148 same! thats what i was thinking
Most of Chinese people are more fond about foreigners than about themselves somehow.. that's why we need a positive respond from people of other countries more than anyone else! Makes me already happy that someone recognized it! ♥
@@FreshWaterBrook. Be polite, or you will be exposed on the Internet.
It's not me who has to be more polite than I already I'm, but some macho men who always think they have right to teach girls how to behave in public while writing answers full of nonsenses. Look, if there are anyone in China I think worth of being treated in a rude way, then for sure this kind of machos.
That interaction with other Amy was SO CUTE. Great food exploration too!
Amy your energy makes me so chill, I enjoy whatever you shot for the video, please don’t hesitate if you like to try anything new, we just enjoy watching you, thanks for the good content!
Welcome to Guizhou Province, Blondie!I highly recommend you try 脆哨面.This is a delicious food with local characteristics.
omg you said 能吃辣 in Guizhou, I so admire your bravery!
Same😂 I wouldn’t dare to say that in Guizhou😝
If i do go there i will say that too at list once then i let faith deside what going to happen ..
what does this mean? I am still learning mandarin
@@misscherrypop "I can eat spicy"
Everything looks incredible!!! Thank you for your videos!!
I hated zhe er gen when I was a kid too, but all of the sudden I started to like it one day in middle school. Amy may start to like it too when you have more of it😂😂
This video took it to a new level. The "vibe" as so many have said is perfect. This could be my favorite video of yours yet, and I've watched quite a few! And, finally I see something I have no knowledge about in China. Very interesting! Like all the Guizhou content actually. Thanks for doing this work!
wow. you are really exploring the super nice food paradise which many people never even heard of it. thanks for your video. it makes me want to visit Guiyang!
Really enjoyed the video. My wife comes from Guizhou and she is fascinated with the potatoes and zheergen tofu fruit. At first, I was just as Amy not a fan of zheergen. But if you try this strange taste a few more times, you will not only accept but become addicted to it. Now we are living far away Guizhou, and this may be the most memorable taste of hometown.
You made a friend on the street! Defenitely a very Chinese phenomenon, strangers will be a lot more approachable than in the west
that girl shot her shot and went straight for the wechat :D
Yes plz, more going places and eating things videos! 🙆♀️
Zhe er gen is also one kind of Chinese herb,I don’t like the roots of that either, but the leaves are good
Wow these videos are making me hungry Amazing Work Blondie!
Amy should visit the famous waterfall 黃果樹瀑布 in Guiyang.
从小看西游记就向往去的地方。到现在还没去过。希望amy有机会去。
Just remember to pack an umbrella as the trees there may rain caterpillars. Traumatized me as a kid lmao
黄果树 is not located in Guiyang but 安顺 City.
That waterfall is in Zhenning. Half hour drive or so from Anshun City.
Beautiful place. Don't forget the Stone Village too and the many caves to visit in Guizhou province.
Have fun, Amy.
It's a beautiful province with very friendly people.
Love yours video,...great,...God Bless You...from Indonesia...
I suppose you can understand this and cause it's unconvenient to express myself in English, so ,have a good trip and explore in GuiZhou province.
欢迎回家

I was told that the lover tofu fruit used to be sold in abandoned air-raid shelters, where young couples date lol .
It is not easy to stay fabulous/graceful and informative/calm while trying street food in different corners of Guiyang even with a crew. Yet you managed to do it all by yourself. I am beyond impressed.
Thank you so much!
I think her good upbringing and passion for food and travel has made it a lot more natural for her to vibe with the locals and express herself in front of the camera, particularly about food, people and culture
Wow, i love that omupotato dish. I would 100% eat that.
Blondie shot this like a film, not like normal "walk and eat" video, lmao.
Great video. Thanks to this, I was reading the history of 折耳根, quite interesting, used to treat SARS and some suspicion it's a bit carcinogenic. Used in Chinese Traditional Medicine. "fishy + soapy" smell.
This was a very authentic video. I appreciate that and thanks for the awesome content.
I feel like the rice is just the canvas. I like variety in my fried rice.
Couldn't have put it better myself!
I definitely don’t understand how some fried rice contain only egg and rice.
哈哈哈哈你说话很有意思,I LIKE
A Guiyang girl living in Brisbane send my love❤️
豆腐裹,meaning "doufu wrap"
Thank you for sharing your experiences in China. You're a beautiful & terrific presenter with pure equanimity. I'm European, my husband is Chinese( Singaporean by birth)...we live in Australia.
Stay healthy and happy.
Welcome to Guizhou province ! As a super fans who live in there , I am so excited to hear that you come to my hometown and make this brilliant video about it! And I’m absolutely appreciate you to introduce Guiyang to the people all around the world!
There's a place in Malaysia called安顺too, and there's something like a 裹卷。 a little different with the filing but i think the wrap might be similar, it's a 肠粉, filing includes turnip, carrots sliced finely
I'm from Malaysia too. Ipoh. 我也看到安顺。😂
Apa ni? Perhimpunan org² Malaysia di sini ka? Hello from JB 😆
isn't the Malaysian version is popiah which is quite common in Hokkian probably where it came from in the first place. Translates to thin skin dough 薄餅
安顺 马来西亚 分顺😂
@@Woodland26 Popiah is wrapped using a wheat flour skin whereas this 裹卷 is wrapped using rice flour skin. Also I think in Southeast Asia we use jicama which is not so common in the original Fujian version. Also iirc its more popularly known as 润饼 in some areas.
As a Guiyanger living far away for decades, I just can't stop my mouth water running by watching this video.
Biiiig hug from a GuiYanger in EU!! What can i say...If you can make even a local drool while watching you eat their food, you're doing it right! And I watched the previous vid OMG you finished a whole pot of fish AND then go for Siwawa AND another fish for dinner XD👍...You could take a walk and drink some tea in our Qianling Park to enjoy the nature and city view in tranquility -- no worries there are also street food like these inside the park that you can enjoy just next to the lake!
Ohh and please have a bowl of 牛肉粉🤤 curious if your dad would love it too~ Have fun Amy!
There must be a lot of micky mouses
You are an incredible person, willing to try anything - no matter how strange it may appear to you - instead of cringing like most westerners do, when offered foreign food!
I love you!!!
Chinese lesbians are too active lol
selling coffee on car that's another level .... wow , Amy thanks for showing all these.
Oh WOOOOOOOW! I used to eat the Egg wrapped potato from THAT EXACT STALL almost every single day!!! It was one of my favourite meals.
There's a traditional Miao restaurant on Youyi Lu that you should definitely check out :)
It's the street parallel to where the night food market is. Youyi Lou is definitely a street that's worth putting in your videos :)
First time watching one of your vlog and I’ve really enjoyed it! So interesting
I shall watch some more and and subscribe

You are really cool please come Tokyo I live in Tokyo my name is sophi
I watch these videos at night. They come out just before bed time. And it makes me so hungry!

Great video, love the way you mix with the local people, very heartwarming that everyone gets on with each other, love your new friend Amy,looking forward to seeing your next vlog, take care and stay safe 👏🏻💕
I am watching this from 🇺🇸 midnight with an empty stomach. …
I'm under lockdown in Shenzhen and I can see that things are getting slowly back to normal. Amy's vlog is bringing some more positivity in me.
OMG, I've been checking and waiting for your next food adventure in Guiyang after seeing the last one! Hot and sour is a brilliant combo, and the foods there look insanely good.🌶️ Thanks for the upload. You answered my prayers. 🙏😍😁 Looking forward to the next video!💞✌️
