This brush is the truth. My hair was matted to the point of almost dreaded. This brush whipped the KNOTS out of my hair, easily and painlessly! I am grateful. Worth the money.
I left Denman a while ago. I just tried the D38 based off of African Hair Gods recommendation and I like it. I guess I’m back to Denman.
I watched his video too...then I did more research and decided to go with the D90L...I love Denman now lol
@@NaturalBoss 🤦🏾♀️ These Denman brushes look the same to me; D38, D83, D90L 🥴
Could you tell me the difference between D38 and D90L
@@AyooFreshie D90 doesn't have the little balls on the ends of the bristles and I believe the bristles are spaced differently than the D83. The D90 is specific to detangling, which is all I wanted it for. The D83 is for styling and detangling.
@@NaturalBoss how are you liking the brush as of now? I have the tangle teezer and my hair doesn’t like it anymore. It takes so long to detangle, I’m trying to find a new brush.
That brush is whipping through your hair with no problems. I can see why you like it so much.
I took a huge chance by paying all that money for this brush but it was awesome. Detangling has always been a huge problem for me but problem is solved! 😁
you're right, the smaller Denman is meant to be a styling tool for clumping and defining the curls, not really for detangling.
I am so glad you reviewed this brush. I had my eye on it for a while, but wasn't sure if it would be worth it. I will be ordering it now. Thanks for the honest review.
I love the instant, spontaneous reaction!
You are HILARIOUS! Like a hair homecoming.
😄😄😄
Thanks for the review. I saw this brush recently but was scared that the bristles would damage my hair.
So glad I landed on your channel. I was using the plastic toothed Denman last night (while watching Serena loose her match she should have won) and noticed so much hair in the brush. I was over it. I watched your video and saw you are not an affiliated with Denman so your comments are authentic. I popped on over to Amazon and dropped coin and hope this newer Denman will detangle my hair and not rip it out like the older brush seems to do. Thanks.
😄😄😄 no joke, this Denman changed my life. I just used it again today and I'm still shook!
Yayyyyy I am so glad you FINALLY found a detangler that you love. Welcome to the Denman family. I don't have that one but I will put it on my list. Great video. Your excitement and laugh is everything!!!
Lol! Using that Denman was a wonderful experience! 😄
@@NaturalBoss that's so good to hear. I will definitely get one. Listen....feel free to sell the other brushes you're not fond of.
@@nyteriaparrish1000 😄😄😄
@@NaturalBoss there's no need to keep that original Denman that rips your beautiful tresses out 😂
@@nyteriaparrish1000 you right, you right...not sure why I'm hoarding all this stuff lol
You give great reviews and I’m tripping off you at the same time. 😂😂
Looking at your video made me order 3! I hope it works for me like it worked you. Thanks for the discovery!
😄😄😄 I'm pretty positive they will work for you. I've been struggling for so long with the detangling process and this brush changed my life!
I'm a new sub. I found you today and totally binge your videos. Girl, I spent so much money watching your videos. Getting this brush tomorrow. I hope I love it like you do.
Lol! Welcome!!! I just let my sister use mine yesterday and she loved it and is about to purchase too....and our hair is nothing alike. I think you'll love it! 😉
@@NaturalBoss you're right. I love it. Just wish the handle was bigger.
Thank you for this!! I just put it on my Amazon wish list for my daughters’ hair.
I agree that most of those other brushes rip out your hair. One of my daughters does use the first brush to define her curls but it’s not great for detangling.
This brush has helped my detangling process so much. And I agree, I can use the other brushes later to define my curls, but I have to use this one first to detangle.
Thanks this video is right on time. I’ve had the same problems with the same brushes. I’ll try your suggestion!
You're welcome!
I was just looking at this brush on amazon imma just get it. It cost money to keep your hair on your head
Yeah you definitely have to spend some coin, but it's worth it!
Hi from the United Kingdom.
Just a quick question.
Can you use this brush on short 4c natural hair?
Wow I need that!!! I get so much webbing at my roots and detangling is a nightmare! I like the denman for my wash and go styles but it does seem to rip hair out
Yes I get that webbing in my roots too. This brush was definitely worth the money!
hi natural boss 🤗 new sub
i found your channel mixed in with natural hair product stash videos
this brush worked so well on your hair. adding it to my #BF2020 list - hopefully i can find a good sale and make the purchase. tfs 😁👍😁
Oooh, I've got to try this brush!!! I'm like you, The traditional Deman brush would rip out my hair. I brought it a few times, because like you said, everyone else loved it. But I ended up throwing them out. I also have that brush with the separated teeth. I'm not that impressed with it. I'm ordering this one tonight. Thank you NB! 👍🏾🌹💐🤗
Yes!!! I think you'll love it!
The original one would rip out your hair bc it’s not for detangling!!! It’s just for styling. They have brushes for detangling though
And can u tty out the Remington electric brush
WHY DIDNT NOBODY TELL ME! Sike naw, y’all did tell me, I just didn’t believe you. I believe you now and just purchased the D38 and the D90L and they gave me a free D4. Can’t wait, I think my hair woes are finally over, thanks for the video
Wait what??? They gave you a free D3? Did you order from Amazon or directly from Denman?
@@NaturalBoss yes I ordered directly from denmanbrushus.com and a free gift if you spend $50 is a free D4
@@NaturalBoss I meant D4 free D4 with a $50 purchase.
Of the two brushes which do you like better?
Which is better? The d90l or d38?
New subbie!! You almost sold me but that price tag but I may have to try this. It glided through your hair like nothing. Would love to see a comparison video with your tangle teaser and time it to see how long it takes. I threw my denim brush away because it ripped my daughter and my hair out.
Lol...Yeah I might follow up doing an actual comparison so people can really see what I mean. I like the tangle teaser but I LOVE the Denman.
Yes I would love a comparison video with the ez detangler and a wide tooth comb
Hello! I love your videos. I'm new to the natural hair game and I'm wanting to know what type of daily oil or oil sheen do you use on your hair?
Hi Letrecia! Truthfully I don't use oil regularly...only on occasion. However I really like the Kinky Tresses Hair Oil.
@@NaturalBoss Thanks lady cause my hair is soooo dry when I wear it curly.
@@latreciahall4373 yeah natural is a lot of trial and error 😁
Is that at Sally's?
@@latreciahall4373 no it's at www.kinkytresses.com. I'm sure Sally's probably has some good hair oils, but I really don't buy them that often so I just don't know. I think Design Essentials has a scalp oil and that's a pretty good brand.
Which deman is this is it the D38 and did you order it from amazon or the website.
It's D90L...yes Amazon and link is in description
NaturalBoss thank you
Hi Tony/Toni, I hope all is well. I appreciate your honesty and as a result I subscribed to your channel a few months back! I believe I am a 3C-4A (I have 4 different textures) with high porosity, so I have to find a moisturizing regime, as my hair tends to look dry. What is your nightly hair routine? I simply use a regular scarf & “satin” bonnet, but thinking I need a drastic change. I am a twist out natural, with extreme shrinkage, but my curls don’t hold in the back-bottom & crown of my hair. Pls help!!!
All I do is the scarf and satin bonnet too lol. Have you tried using the LOC method? Leave-in (or liquid which can be water), oil, cream ..
NaturalBoss I have tried both LOC & LCO, I think my hair does better with LOC. Does it matter if I use a non-silk scarf? I’d like my edges to be as thick as my hair.
TEST IT ON DRY HAIR AND THEN SEE WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT IT. LET US KNOW BECAUSE I'M LOOKING FOR A BRUSH TOO
I tested it on dry hair....I promise you that brush glided right thru!!!! 😆
Do you still like this brush? I want to buy this
I do like it and still use it when detangling large sections of hair. However lately I've started using my tangle teaser again and it seems like less shed hair.
@@NaturalBoss Thank you so much for answering me. I tried the Tangle Teezer once and I did not like it, but I was new to my own natural hair so I may give it a go again since it's been 8 years being natural.
@@TandZAptLife Yes sometimes I go back and forth. I hate something, then try it again and love it 😃
May I ask when do you apply gel with the lco or the loc method?
@@TandZAptLife I actually don't apply gel when I'm using either of those methods. But if I'm using gel for a wash n go, I put leave in conditioner on first before applying gel.
