Very nice build and a interesting story! I live not far from Zwolle. It is good to see that there is a story behind a "plastic model". A story of a brave man that fought for freedom!
You did such a nice, clean job on this Spitfire. As a fellow modeler, it's amazing how difficult it is to assemble a complex model like this & to have everything, across the board, turn out to your satisfaction. The general public usually have no idea how many hours someone has wrapped up in one model! Plus, thanks for your videos...another part that is under appreciated.
I have watched literally every build of this model. I have one built and two more ready to go, with inspiration from modellers like you. Your cowlings fit better than any I have seen. Well done. The weathering is subtle, again, perfect. I feel the exhausts could do with more work, but it's a matter of taste. Your stencils worked very well. I don't have that skill. Beautiful work and stands testament to a brave and fearless pilot.
Well done. I appreciate the historical aspect. I like to build particular pilot's planes as they appeared on days they flew particular sorties like James Howard's Ding Hao on Jan.11 1944, or John Meyer in Petie 3rd Jan.1 1945. Some are easier than others. I'm very impressed with your skill-set and execution. The results speak for themselves. I am shamelessly trying to learn from you. Thank you for sharing your work!
Great build - cracking finished result - far better than I could ever wish to assemble. A great story too. If it was not for the Czech / Polish and other allied nations flying for the RAF during WW2, I would be writing this sentence in German. Thank you Otto 💕💕 and all like you.
An excellent build and I'm pleased that you didn't go overboard with the weathering and chipping as so many seem to do. Also I enjoyed reading the small history of the pilot whos plane you depicted, thank you for sharing that it's a very nice thing to do.
Wonderful build! Great video. Thank you for all you do! Thank you for remembering our past heroes. Yes, we need to tell our children and grandchildren about these people. Their sacrifice to fight evil must be told. God bless you and yours always.
Beautifuk job of blending your colors and masking of the unit numbers and insignias makes all the difference in the world - again great work - one of my favorite spitfire builds ever
Hello from Michigan, USA: after watching your literally Brilliant build of the Tamiya Spitfire IX, I subscribed to your channel- after watching hundreds of builds- that got me back into models during the pandemic after a 47 year “hiatus” I just found your build, subject matter to be in my top 5- I also learned a great deal from it- thank you! Good Health and Good Luck to you and yours- JW
Such an amazing model! I've been tempted to purchase a bigger scale model, since I'm not very experienced, and this inspired me so much! I can tell there's love in this! Thanks for the video.
She's a glorious piece of engineering by both you and Tamiya. I'd like to see you build an RAF Coastal Command Sunderland flying boat. I want to build it myself as my little girl has asked me to and I can't disappoint her.
I have been a fan of plastic model airplanes for many years and I have rarely seen a model as well built as this spitfire with so much history. I encourage you to continue assembling WWII airplanes and make a small museum so that people can admire your jobs. Thanks for the video. Now I am subscribed. Albert Vinyas
Yes great story and build, thank you. Very inspiring. I have this model partially built in my man cave still sitting where I left it a few years ago. I’m planning to restart my modelling hobby and was going to put my partial builds away. But you have inspired me to finish this amazing model first job. So I thank you.
My God man your attention to detail is outstanding, glad I found your channel, you sir are a true artisan, solid and clean work......total Awesomeness..... Thanks for sharing your build....
From what I’ve seen and read about this model is it falls together so well that only a small skill level is required, YOUR skill is that you’ve made a authentic 1/32 replica of otto’s aircraft, your workmanship is a joy to watch you should be proud. 👍👍
After I've seen your incredible build of this model I was really tempted to immeadetly throw away my Spitfire Mk II from Revell (which is quite nice at all) and get this kit as it's so much better. Keep the great work on!
I built mine with the barracuda cockpit, engine rocker covers with the Rolls Royce, and the wing cannon proper blisters. The most enjoyable build ever.
WOW! What fantastic work! The video is great, and I really admire how you painted the roundels and ID letters. The only thing I would do differently is to have no figure in an open cockpit in the ground version - so you could show off the superb job you did with the standing figure. I'm looking forward - and almost salivating - to see another one of your videos! The music is good,, too.. Thanks for sharing this.
These 1:32 kits from Tamiya are really stunning. What a beatiful model you made, excellent work!! All those hours really count :) Only downside are those figures :(
Great story, amazing build. I normally build 1/48 but find your builds very interesting. My next kit is the Zvezda 1/48 IL2, so look forward to seeing your 1/32 build. Subscribed 👍
Great work. As a Czech, I am proud of the work of our airmen. Thanks for the awesome model and memory of a great man.

I think Otto would be humbled by this, you did him a great Honor, He fly's once more!
Outstanding work! I liked the wheels up because the Spitfire looks the best in flight.
A fabulous build, beautifully painted and assembled. Congratulations! A wonderful tribute to the memory of Otto Smik.
The best Czech pilot was Josef František with 17 kills , he was serving in polish 303 squadron .Great build !

Me too if I’m honest. Beautiful ending.

Rádo se stalo!
Posledního dva roky se na mě valil Otta ze všech stran, tak to byla pak jasná volba čí spit postavit.
She's a glorious piece of engineering by both you and Tamiya.

Very nice! I like the fact you made that version. And the weathering is not exaggerated, which is common with many modelers nowadays. great job!
Among the most beautiful builds, I mean it.👋👋👋
Great build and love how you added simulator video to the presentation. Best build video I’ve watched in a long time! 👍🏻 Thanks
Very nice build. I am building mine at the moment. Same kit, but I will do the 1943 north Africa camouflage (flown by Skalski).
An absolute awesome job, in honor of a great airman. Have a great day, all the way over here in North Carolina, USA. ;0)
