You really get a sense how cramped medieval Edinburgh must've been when you remember that Mary King's Close would have been wider before it was buried underground and if you look at other old closes along the Royal Mile, very narrow and buildings would have reached 14 storeys high
I've been to Mary King's Close a couple of times (planning on going a third time next year with my mum for her birthday). It's an incredible place to visit, & while I didn't experience anything ghostly while I was there, it certainly has an eerie vibe to it.
The two brothers were Burke and Hare. They were friends who sent body parts to scientists around Edinburgh for medical experiments. They were executed.
this was super interesting. Very awesome theories too. I've heard that construction around older buildings, especially when the building is partially removed and built over that the energy flow can get a bit wonky and trapped in a way. Also it would be plausible for it to be haunted due to the ammount of sickness, pain, poverty, etc.
Do folks still bring dolls for the little girl ghost? I''ll be going to Edinburgh in a couple months and I'd love to bring her a doll if I'm allowed to!
Ive never been there before but if you want to see ghosts you only have to go to psychiatric hospital in Werribee they had this awful room in the side of the ward that was blocked off by any person these padded cells tiny little rooms a bucket in the corner for them to go to the toilet called the high dependency unit i seen it once when my partner was in there you couldn't visit only go to the see through plastic glass wall where you would put a bag with all the things you brought your partner like smokes money and chocolates and stuff they would take it and give that to your partner after she was put back in the normal area where she could have visits and the hospital got a couple million dollars to build a new psychiatric hospital so they could hide there house of horrors that place when i went in was not fit for any human being it was hell
Alex. I read an article you wrote. On sexual harassment. You made it sound like the person being abused. Is at fault. Maybe I didn't understand. But I know for a * FACT*. In the spiritual world. The people involved have know choice. If a couple has daily sexual in counters. Maybe. Classified. Sex addicts. Even it's just the couple. So I believe this could cause spiritual sex.. a spiritual spouse. A life of HELL.
My apologies . What i read never really said anything about the spiritual world. And how it really effects a person. You classified sex addicts. As horrible people. Because someone enjoys sex. Alot. Does not mean. If your In an elevator with one alone. Your doomed.. he might be the nicest man you ever met. What I'm saying. Is people who love sex. And have it often. Very often. Can become the abused. On a daily basis. Without wanting it At first. But then you see them change. DRASTICALLY. This person becomes a possession of the spirit..

I said it was a terrible thing to use sex addiction as an excuse to be a predator because it stigmatizes sex addicts and paints them as terrible people. I recommend re-reading my article a bit more thoughtfully.

It's definitely worth a visit. I went recently and loved it. Edinburgh is beautiful!

Um...where did I say the victim was at fault. You're the only one who has had that takeaway. Victims are NEVER at fault.
