I’ve had this for 5 years now, only issue I have faced was with the fuel pump getting spoilt. The car overall and the 2.0 litre engine is bulletproof. It handles surprisingly well, on-road and off-road dynamics are spot on. I loved the car’s robust built quality and parts are easy to find as well. Great car overall.
whats the power like from the 2.0? some peoples comments say they are down on power but how is it for light off roading and on road use? been thinking of getting one as id like a petrol 4wd that wont break the bank. seen 1 for sale with 220,000km but im hoping something better will pop up
This is a 3rd generation stop referring to it as a, second generation which stopped in 2006. Chain stretching was only due to the lack of maintenance by owners. Regular oil changes are a must in any vehicle.
In 2022 I bought a second-hand 2016 pearl white Grand Vitara with only 5K mileage from a relative. Other than the AC needing a freon recharge and a few minor scratches here and there, the unit was good as new. It was a steal.
The earlier 2.4 engines are prone to developing cracks in the head and block. I believe it was certain Vins between 2009 and 2010 and Suzuki was offering replacement short blocks to affected vehicles in some markets. I have a low kms 2013 and I'm very happy with it. It's not fancy but it feels really solid and well put together with nice feeling controls.
Good video, but I feel that there are many things that are not true, and if they are, it is due to extra demanding use by the owners. I have a 2011 2.4 with 173,000 km and I have never had one of the problems mentioned. It doesn't help much for someone who wants to buy one because the vehicle is not as described.
Hey could you please give me some advice I own a 2006 grand vitara it has now a mileage of 300k kl or 200 miles. Is it worth to still keep it just like you I never had a serious problem with the car but I am worried that soon something bad will happen.
@@cugeltheclever3766 Look, for the moment I would keep it if I have the money to buy a 2nd car, if that is not your case, I would sell it although with that mileage the resale value drops a lot, I would evaluate several points before selling it.
