28 Inch Seat pitch? No way will I even contemplate Ryanair. Ryanair's seats do not recline so there is no need to have extra 1-2 inch of legroom. Also the seats are structurally very thin so they save a lot of room when seats themselves take way less room overall. Having lets say 55 rows where all seats are 1,5 inch thinner, there is over 80 inches of room to accommodate 2-3 more rows with same legroom. But yes, they are still very tight. Not comfortable for more than 1 hour flights.
You are meaning this as a humor, however, they actually are making prototypes of "standing seat" where you stand all the time, just leaning backwards and buckled to a backrest. Seat Pitch may be 28 in. Latest seat structure & upholstery is slimmer , so what is Acual Comparable LegRoom? Mebe about 29 in.?
At one time a few years ago Michael O'Leary actually proposed the idea of having no seats, but rather benching and even standing passengers holding on to an overhead grab-handle. If he could get away with it it'd be rolled out tomorrow.
It was a PR stunt from O'leary, and people like you make sure that he still, to this day gets the PR.
😂
I flew with Ryanair; it was the coldest, most packed, no reclining chairs or legroom flight I ever flew on. The ticket price was good though. You get what you pay for
no reclining chairs on 28" pitch is good... there is no room to do that
@@williamhaynes7089 The price was good, the flight was painful, I'm glad it wasn't longer than 3 or 4 hours I would have died.
@@ulrek54321 in fairness , it's more about quality than price for me. Ryanair is shite so wouldnt use them.... ever, under any circumstances. I would rather stay home
Oh God. I sincerely hope I never have to fly in that plane.
People like to complain about the barebones Ryanair flights but that's the point. These budget travel markets can massively increase access to a wide variety of people and communities. A bit of discomfort to be reunited with family or just have a great vacation is worth it for many people.
There is more chance of me bitten on my backside by a cabbage than me ever flying Ryanair and that is even before they get their hand on the Max
100%
How much will their low legroom & extra emergency exit use supplements be?
Love you Ryanair, best wishes...When will I fly again?...
Why didn’t they just opt for the MAX 9? 😐
When you see that 30stone guy in the queue ,you just know ....
Why do people complain? This airline offers an incredible service, the most affordable tickets in the industry
And totally stifles competition with other LCCs in it's home country.
And intentionally splits up families when assigning seats.
And requires passports for absolutely no reason.
I wouldn't fly with Ryanair even if I was the only passenger onboard, let alone with 199 other people.
100%
I’m almost 5 11 and I just flew on Ryanair’s 8200 and it’s not ideal but it is doable. Traditional airline was 2x the price. Safety and price and decent reliability is Ryanair’s strength.
Has wizz air bought Ryanair??? Glad I use EasyJet and Jet2
EasyJet’s legroom is actually worse than the current one of Ryanair, and similar to the one on the new Ryanair 737MAX planes.
*cries in Ireland*
Ryanair and Boeing - the perfect combination. Profits first, the customers just a commodity.
That means, you have to remove your legs and put them in your check-in luggage and wear them again when you arrive at your destination.
lmao
I flew with Wizz and yes the seat pitch wasn't nice, but its what ya get for the low cost. Don't fly low cost if you're gonna complain about what you get.
How does that work out with social distancing..? 😅
Ryanair: What is that ?
"All 200 of you will be miles up in air, away from everybody else"
Ironic to look back at this in November 2024, given what has happened.
28 Inch Seat pitch? No way will I even contemplate Ryanair. I find the 34 inch pitch just about bearable, so if I find that the airline I intend to fly with even operates 1 Boeing 737 Max, I will select another airline. Just imagine how a passenger would feel having been cramped into 28 inches, then the plane has a landing accident and everyone of the 200 passengers has to evacuate the aircraft. Many of those passengers will be stiff and unable to evacuate and no doubt there will be serious loss of life or injuries
Absolutely... 100%
Sod this. Ryanair at 30” is okay. At 28”, that exceeds my pain threshold. I was unfortunate enough to fly on Wizzair last year, at 28”. And it was genuinely a painful experience. Its got to the point now where I will pay that extra 5%, to have the 30” pitch back.
Considering my height, I will not fly with an airline taking these nonsense steps.
Gotta pay extra for an emergency exit row. Worth $50 or whatever it is. And the seats in front don't recline, so the 5'2" person ahead of you doesn't smash your kneecaps.
@@juliogonzo2718 or you just fly with a normal carrier. BA, KLM, AF, Iberia, Tap, Lufthansa etc. You sit in a normal seat and get some food and drink to booth
@@MrJimheeren I'm in Canada and it's hard to justify a $500-600 domestic 2.5hr flight on Air Canada, when cheap airlines have the same flight for $300. Air Canada has a display in the headrest, that's the only difference I can see in terms of comfort.
@@juliogonzo2718 that’s quite expensive. Flying in Europe is a lot cheaper and Ryan Air is so extremely cheap it’s almost bizar. You can find tickets for like 12€
@@juliogonzo2718 Yeah, but if Ryanair were flying that route in Canada a normal ticket would be $40-100. Special offers of $10 seats most months. That's why they're the biggest airline for Europe's 600 million people
With the Irish crammed into Ryanair's cabin configuration, it's no wonder they are always getting into fist fights on these flights.
It's normally the british tend to be responsible for disturbances on board ryanair flights that end up with diversions or arrests.
They can keep their thrash compactors !!!
My favorite way to fly is with only 2 other passengers on board.
It happened 3 different times. The last time was on a very new 737-700NG.
We got off the ground (LAX) in no time & were in Phoenix (PHX) about 7 to 8 minutes ahead of time.👍
As of November 2020, I will even fly with 299 other passengers on a 737. Just please get me on a plane! 🙏🏼
Why don't they start with standing passengers just like in trains and buses? 🤣
Should allow hop on passenger at wing and up the fuselage like indian train....
@@arifkhamar6430 🤣🤣👍
@Carlos Bautista : O’Leary, (if that’s his name) floated that idea some years ago. . .
You are meaning this as a humor, however, they actually are making prototypes of "standing seat" where you stand all the time, just leaning backwards and buckled to a backrest. Nevertheless, even after using them many times, I decided not to use them again, mainly because of the aircraft model they are using
@Carlos Bautista what's the problem with prefering the a320? Don't tell me you are one of those weirdos that like refurbished junk from the 60s
I recently flew with Ryanair with this Boieng 737-8200 model and the comfort was very low. The plane was very crowded, and now I understand why.
Think that's odd the MC 21 Will carry 163-211 people😂😂😂😂
Hey I don't know if this true but while plane spottin I noticed that the upper decks of 747f is tad a bit smaller than than the upper deck of passenger 747s is that true and if so why?
wasted space and weight on the freighters.
Now you'll know how the 1% got richer
It’s 198 seats on the max aircraft. Current 738 has 189 seats. There are flights as long as 6 hrs.
"Line on the Left - One cross each"
Perfect🤣🤣
Crucifixion? Good....
lion air does 189 seats in 737-800 & 213 seats in 737-900. i think max 8 is longer than 737-800 (cmiiw). so i think for short haul flight it's doesn't really matter
Wait until he starts putting them on the wings, that’s when you gotta worry!
O'Leary will sell those as Covid - Safe seats with extra air flow. Also no loo queue.
Boeing: We can give you a capacity of 200.
Ryanair: What if we just removed the seats?
They could install perch seats; they'll double the amount of passengers.

it wont affect me in the slightest as I wont fly with them
I take that you're not Irish.
Fools day few years ago, Spring Air(a low cost airline from China) said they will put 1500 seats in A380, since then I think everything is possible😂
Like the old saying goes; “When you gotta go you gotta go”. I’ll be damned if I’m going to raise my hand and get permission to take a piss like some school student.. Or sit like a sardine in a tin can. But, if the flight was free of charge I might re-consider.
it's thier covid-19 regulations put in by the Irish Aviation Authority not Ryanair
You ain't going no where if there are 66 people in front of you!
How will this go in line with covid19 regulations or with hinsight to future potential pandemics?
I fly with them regularly and I’m totally okay with that.
I'm sure some people are ok with being treated like shite. Personally I'm not. I would never fly Ryanair. I'd prefer to stay home
You get the service you pay for. Don’t expect 1st class treatment for 25-40€.
