Yogi, mystic, and visionary, Sadhguru is a spiritual master with a difference. An arresting blend of profundity and pragmatism, his life and work serve as a reminder that yoga is a contemporary science, vitally relevant to our times.

Without the bagel's transformation inside our body - our human life wouldn't exist. Therefore a simple bagel has helped a human life to continue. Of course there are many other foods which give this process of renewal to the human body, which we must constantly do. This is the magic of being alive. This is the point of life. Magic transformation. All energy is recycled on our planet. New energy does not appear out of thin air, but through the transformation process, we can not only sustain life, but manifest unseen and new creations, such as Art. Its a miracle.

    Answer: -----------
Firstly, he started off his response by saying very clearly that the little girl’s question is only relevant if it would take a thousand years (more than a lifetime) to teach what he’s trying to teach.
THEN he brought up the fact that the intelligence within us is able to convert food into the body. Why? In order to demonstrate that what he’s trying to teach us is ALREADY PRESENT within us…. he’s simply pointing us to a higher “dimension” of living that is already there.
In other words, he ’s trying to make us consciously aware of the intelligence and power already within us so that we can apply this awareness to our daily lives. Most people are simply ignorant of this higher “dimension” and they suffer as a consequence, but they can easily learn.
This is why at the end of the video Sadhguru said that a person is able to learn these things in minutes or hours if they are willing. ♥🙏

    Namaste!
Living being as we know represents powerlessness against various things in the universe. So we needed a god to represent infinite power for consolation.
Still, the concept God represents uncertainty and remoteness.
But no one will ever be able to deny that something in the girl turned the bagel into the girl. That something represents certainty and immediacy.
Ancient indian seers latched on to this amazing stuff and investigated this deeply, because it is immediate and certain, and worth investigation, without chasing after conjectures and inferences true or false. They discovered the unbelievable incredible fact that what you called god with the inherent problems of uncertainty and remoteness is nothing but you, with the reassurance of certainty and immediacy. Hence the great statement - That You Are.
This is the GREAT RECONCILIATION of discarding uncertainty and remoteness and attaining certainty with immediacy.
    Namaste!

If there is meaning to our existence then it most likely is this - We are meant to grow as a person. Develop our personality.
Development is sped up by difficulty which our world is filled with to an absurd amount.
It's like a playground of chaos to produce a product. And something tells me that majority of those products get scrapped & recycled as they don't meet the requirements.
Who those products are for & why? Now those are the big questions.

I thought the answer was stupid. I could fail to cover all the reasons why? But the girl could be dead now. The words mean something very relative and impermanent on both sides. What is a bagel or what is a human being! We feel autonomous for a short period of time the elements the like ash of a piece of wood or a candle in the wind where did it go? Yet I can still follow in conclusively that one moment of truth, compassion and abidance is worth learning something. Mostly all life in all situations value there life by avoiding dead. I”m willing to have a real discussion if they think sadguru answer was good. I don’t doubt that his intentions are good his statements although appealing to some should be recognized as ultimately false and relatively not true. 😮😮😮

The little girl is asking a very important question. What is the purpose of human life? And what is the point of achieving it if anyway we are going to die?
This question should not be covered up with flowery language but should be anwered very specifically. And all the great scriptures of the world answer it clearly and to the point.
Lord Krishna in Bhagwad gita explains the purpose of human life is to realize God. Then he explains he is God.
He also explains after death the journey of soul continues in another body. But the Purpose of life is to come out of this birth and death cycle
and go back to God to the spiritual world which is eternal.

A bit complex for a little person. To pass makes life most relevant. To pass makes living truly and deeply, a must. Pass makes Love the only worthy achievement. On the other hand, to live forever makes every effort pointless. Living forever eliminates the present time. An artist without limits can not create... he needs a canvas, the frame limits...

If I cease to exist when I die: I at least lived my utmost potential and didn't waste the gift of life
If I am still here: I will be grateful that I lived my utmost potential

THANK YOU. The ignorance in these comments are REAL!
YOU UNDERSTAND! Well mostly, it's not as much about living up to your potential as it is about being happy with your life. Living up to your potential can also bring sorrow if not managed correctly, so being happy is more important. When you're gone, how close you were to your potential won't matter, just how happy you were in life.
Not to say potential isn't important, just not the end all be all.

The point is to make your life and others lives more enjoyable for the amount of time we have here and also that will carry on in others when we die. If most people in the world are trying to be good people then that will continue on if we agree as a civilization that being good is a good thing.

"You are now turning a bagel into a young girl, isn't that amazing?"
It would be if that's what she was doing. She is also turning a bagel into poop, is that amazing too? I guess it is in a way but what does it have to do with her question?
