- Now that the dog smell has been eradicated from the Elite, I can begin proper testing. The HEPA filter also came out clean smelling (Persil) and the particle tests prove no serious damage was done.

Thank you for both teardown & reassembly videos. They're so good I had no screws left over after reassembly!!
You're welcome!
seeing you put that back together is IMPRESSIVE! Would I have been able to do that? Absolutely NOT... LOL
Ha! 😃
Yay! Looking forward to the airflow and carpet shredding tests.
Airflow/suction box tests are in the next video.
Congratulations Kenmore, you designed a throw away vacuum. Most consumers will not attempt to change the brush roller.
I might guess that 95% of all appliances are essentially treated as throw away items. Repair and downtime is so much hassle, just buy a new one.
Great assemble love the music , can’t wait to see airflow results.
Great vacuum cleaner!!!
Can't wait for the tests.
So great until brush wears out and Kenmore robs you on a new brush
Nice job man I just did a refurbishment with my Hoover preferred vacuum
I came here to figure out how to assemble it back to how it was after a good needed wash, I love how demonstrated these videos are and I appreciate that you show every step. Thank you so much now my vacuum doesnt smell and works just fine.
Again amazing work restoring this vacuum. Direct drive brushroll is high end feature😎
Turned out wonderful. It does look like a very heavy vacuum cleaner, though.
Yup, it's heavy.
Good job buddy
Wow! When you mentioned the complexity in the previous video you weren’t kidding. I’ve heard the direct drive systems were complex. That combined with the other bells and whistles made for a lot of fun reassembly.
It was soooooo much fun that I had to watch my disassembly video to remember how it went back together. Definitely not memorizing this spaghetti.
VacLab I get that. I always take a lot of before photos when disassembling. Especially if it’s a more complex design. Even then some are more challenging to get back together the same as from the factory.
Whole house cleaning please
This thing really cleaned up nice! I'm surprised the bearings don't sound all that rotten - I guess Panasonic really improved their motor quality for this one.
Let's see how well this does on the airbox compared to my 87 CFM 31140 😁
Well bearings usually don't need replacing after just 2 years, more like 10-15. And, uh, wait until you see the CFM and suction numbers, hehe...
The "Inducer Motor" in the Elite is a gem, close to 600 air watts.
Cool
Awesome strip video abd loved this rebuild video I thought the panasonic icon vacuums we had in the uk were complicated ( not sure if you had the same machines in the states. I know you had similar models ) but this is a whole other level of complicated, Shame we never had these in the uk I really liked the panasonic direct drive system, they deep cleaned really well with their huge brushroll and slower speed
Thanks!
As a Panasonic built machine why not use a Panasonic Hepa Bag. Can't wait for the tests too.
You'll see why soon enough in the next video. It'll include genuine Kenmore "O" bags.
@@VacLab Now I am really curious to see the results. Thanks for the reply and comments
first vacuum with no belt
I have many others that don't use a belt.
@@VacLab oh well do they use a brushroll
@@Gatrests14 yes with two motors 1 suction 2 suction and powerhead like shark vacuums but on the newer shark vacuums with the duoclean and zero-m like the Apex the brush slows down when turning on bare floors setting when switched to carpet setting the brush speeds up like normal look at shark vacuums compare the bare floors setting that one shuts brush off or the newer ones with the duoclean and zero-m or just zero-m without duoclean that slows the brush down when turning on bare floors setting thats why all different vacuums have a belt or no belt with a power switch like shark vacuums has powerheads like the powered lift aways or regular lift aways so think about shark vacuums and other vacuums that has a brush with or without the belt
Nope. Believe it or not Panasonic made power nozzles with the drive motor inside the brush roll for some of their Japanese market canister vacuums. I have one in fact, from the early 2000s. It was called the MC-P600.
How can I get my dirt sensor light working again ?
You can't. Costs too much to fix.
You might. The dirt sensor is optical. One side is a light, the other side a light detector. If not enough light is being detected the sensor interprets that as dirt in the airflow. If however either the clear plastic cover over the light or over the sensor are covered in caked on dirt it might block the light and cause the sensor to show dirt even when there is none. If you can try cleaning the two sides. I revived one in a Kenmore power nozzle with a dirt sensor that way.
How did you memorize the wiring???
I try not to memorize such mundane things such as this. I simply re-watched the teardown video. 😁
@@VacLab BRILLIANT! I will keep it in mind 👍
Wow! Can I send you my Kenmore Elite vacuum cleaner for a refurbishment? ☺️
