Its so good, it looks just like the meet the team shorts, nice work on whoever made this.
The thing I like about this mod is that, when someone gets decapitated the particle covers up the pinched head so it makes it look like someone actually got decapitated instead of their head getting squeezed off.

When I join a valve server or a server without custom content this mod breaks. All blood on rocks sand or grass, like ground or walls on upward, just uses every blood sprite. Like a big square made of tiny baby blood stains.

@@Ro_Yoshi the mod works fine as long as you are playing on servers that have sv_pure off. But after you join a server with sv_pure and go back to a server without sv_pure blood decals just break
@@combinemetrocop4213 Thats normal. Valve only allows Custom sounds,Huds and more. But when it comes to custom textures, animations, models it wont work because valve assumes that it could be a cheat and you wont get banned since its a mod not a external cheat program.
@@syouji185 the way this mod handles this isn't normal.
After you played on valve or just servers with cl_pure 1 a single wall blood decal appears like the entire collection of sprites built in a small row.

@@kapsaysinyou can load the mod in a private server and queue to a casual match and the mod will work just fine, expect viewmodels, they just straigh up goes invisible, the thing that valve make the custom viewmodels don't work on casual for....

Been trying for about an hour to get the particles to work. Decals do, but I can't get particles to show regardless of graphics settings / cfgs / other installed mods. Even on a fresh install particles wont work. Any ideas?
I'm assuming that you're not playing on Valve servers (which iirc wouldn't let *any* part of the mod work, not just the particles, since their sv_pure whitelist is so strict). So with that out of the way, my two best guesses would be the following:
1. You're playing on a community server(s) with sv_pure 1 that has a whitelist that allows some texture/decal replacements, but not particle replacements. Unlikely, though I've encountered this sort of issue myself before. Of course, you'll know this isn't the case if you load a private game on your own computer (with sv_pure set to 0) and the mod's particles still don't show.
2. Something about the mod's edited particles_manifest.txt (which essentially tells the game which particle files to load, and in what order) isn't working or isn't properly overriding the vanilla particles_manifest.txt. No idea what could make that happen or why (besides *another* installed mod also having a conflicting particles_manifest.txt, but you already said other mods don't seem to be the issue). If that is the problem, I unfortunately don't know how to help troubleshoot from there.
@@SkeletonHotel First of all, I've gotten the mod to work on occasion, and I just want to say it's *amazing*. seriously one of the only blood mods I have actually liked.
As for getting it to work all the time, I've been testing on sv_pure 0 servers, so that wouldn't be the issue. I've run this on a private game with sv_pure 0, and that seemed to do nothing. It starts to work if I delete the game and reinstall, then add back all of my mods including this one. The moment I add another particle mod it stops working (as I would expect given the bit about particles_manifest.txt), even if I uninstall the other particle mods it stops working. Today it stopped working for no actual reason, never changed anything.
It could have something to do with my config (TF2E), though I wouldn't even know where to start testing that.

The gibs that are in high resolution, and it shows very well, do they come inside the mod ?, or do they have to be downloaded separately? I would like to have detailed gibs like in the video
The only thing that it changes for me is the blood splaters on the walls and floor . It dosent change the particles for some reason.

There's a folder called "custom" where you input every mod in.
Gamebanana also has a 1 click mod installer called "Modboy" which I use because I'm not good at modding.
For some reason the decapitation blood does not work, only the decals. Someone has the same problem ?

I downloaded this mod yesterday and today it still isn't showing up, I assume it doesn't work on valve servers at all?

Gotta ask, what exactly did you use to get ingame recordings like this?
Pretty much every clip was taken from pre-recorded demos. I used Lawena Recording Tool to render out each clip into a series of TGA images and a WAV file. Then, used VirtualDub to compile the images and audio into an AVI video. And then, used Handbrake to convert the AVI into an MP4 (the AVI output by VirtualDub is uncompressed and thus virtually impossible to work with in video editing software, so you need to compress it into something useable). The process isn’t very intuitive, but there are guides out there.
Also, I used HLAE (Half-Life Advanced Effects) to do the camera smooths. I think you can technically do camera smooths in Source demos without it, but it’s way more agonizing and needlessly complicated. HLAE greatly streamlines the process and, if you use the relevant console commands, even lets you preview the camera path as a series of lines and nodes in-game.

Sorry mate, you should be more specific. You are most likely to find either a sv_pure 1 or 0 server, this mod won't work on official valve servers that are set to sv_pure 1 but comminty should be fine
