When I was a kid, we did a lot of fishing out at Centerville. I grew up close by and still live in Humboldt County. My nephew owns Humboldt Bay Coffee. Good to see you enjoy the area.
Is that Thomas? He built my house! He had the shed-building business and made me a Tiny House! Wonderful guy. And excellent coffee. The only kind my coffee-snob tenant will use is HBCC Double Dark French. Excellent nephew!
Thank you Scott for your video travels. I like how you explain things. Thank you for making a difference in my life and I hope to have the courage someday to experience what you are experiencing.

Scott, how did you know I needed to hear your calming voice this morning? With coffee of course! ☕☕☕☕❤❤ I do hope you get to feeling better. I suffer from health issues that can be quite debilitating so I completely understand pain and energy levels! Please take care of yourself my friend! 😊
Yes, there can be something creepy or eerie? about some beautiful areas in Calif. I had that vibe on occasion when I was out there. There's just an energy under the Calif. sunny calm that can be unnerving at times.
Kleen Kanteen mugs have a special dimpled interior surface that mimics ceramic. It really makes a difference in the flavor and I don’t have the worry of breaking another ceramic mug
Yes, UA-cam premium is definitely the way to go and you can also pay annually to make it even cheaper than the $13.99 and it's definitely worth every penny! I cannot stand ads!
I searched on yellow birds website for products near me. Found it close, and got a 9.8oz bottle of Serrano. About 2 weeks and almost gone! Hard to explain, but not overpowering, more complimentary. I would have walked right past yellowbird if not for your recommendation. Looking forward to trying thier other sauces too. Thank You!
s.c.v. sir this is one beautiful town youre showing us, thankyou, i just hope none of the angry crazy idiots move in. it always messes it up, i dont blame town folks for not letting the bad elements in there town.
That’s so nice of you to reply so quickly. Nice hearing from you! Thanks. It’s such a nice one I’m going to look. By the way, I’m now using Yellow Bird, both flavors and enjoy both switching off every day.
My family moved to Humboldt County because of a job at a Hotel and restaurant back in the late Eighties. We lived in a house behind it just across the parking lot. My daughter graduated from Humboldt High School. We used to take trips to all the small towns just to get away from work. If we got tired of the cloudy weather we would go about 15 miles away to a river and sun bath. Our last major move was to the Sacramento area to start our own business which my kids are in now. I just found your channel and enjoy watching the places that you travel. 👍
💜 again, absolutely gorgeous there! As for the apple… That’s one of my favorites. You are correct a little bit of tart a little bit of sweet and I love that it’s crunchy. Enjoy your week!
I spent my birthday in Ferndale a couple years ago. I found the town to be just a little spooky (we were there near Halloween), but I loved the Minds Eye, the old cemetery ,the road to the ocean, and some of the restaurants. Fun to see it again on your video.
It’s very pretty there. I’ve only been to Ferndale once and fell in love with it. I didn’t even see the park. Atleast I didn’t notice it. It’s been years since I’ve been back but it looks a tad drier than I remember it. The trees seemed greener back then. I still think it’s beautiful though. Thank you for sharing! I never thought I would see it again. Thanks to your videos I get to see this area again!!! ❤️🤗
Scott, I do look forward to Tuesday mornings. I know when I get up and am drinking my famous “Wawa” coffee, I know there will be a video from you waiting there to view. I appreciate so much from your videos so instead of listing all, I will just let you know of the wonderful experience I get from your channel. I keep you, your health, and your vans operation in my daily prayer. I will now say, see you in a week! Salute.
When i'm out walking i always gravitate to water. Ponds, streams, rivers. I have a lung condition so hills are a problem for me too - i get out of breath very quickly. Here in the uk we've been getting heavy rain and flooding so your blue skies look lovely.
Thanks again for sharing a relaxing video of coffee, hiking, ocean views, and great looking lunch, Scott. And most importantly, your relaxing voice. Best AMSR on UA-cam! 😊
Beautiful! I love the beach! That area is one of the most beautiful places that I have ever been in my life for sure. You can hike around there every day for years and never be able to see it all. Happy trails 👣 😊
I looked this up: How UA-cam pays creators UA-cam pays creators based on ad views, not video views. Creators earn money from ads that play before, during, or after their videos. Viewers must watch at least 30 seconds of a longer ad or the entire 11-30 second ad for a creator to get paid.
I was at the coffee shop this afternoon and ate at the Boardroom today in Ferndale. It was warm and beautiful. Hope your day went well and look forward to hearing about your next adventure in Humboldt.
The last scene looks like something out of Robertson Caruso novel. Mystical! I’ve been having those New York apples for days. I think I’m down to my last one. Delicioso.☕️🍎
Aww, that lone bird (seagull?) at 29.24 and at the end of the video! 🤗. I love the ocean and find it incredibly soothing and calming, especially when my anxiety hits. Ferndale is such a cute little town. I'm an "old house" enthusiast and appreciate Ferndale's Victorian architecture. As always, thanks for sharing your day with us, Scott. Have a great week.
I’m 45 and I’ve lived in Humboldt my whole life I live in McKinleyville California which is about 25 minutes north of Ferndale fun fact I was in Petrolia outside of Ferndale on 911 I was 22 years old working in the CCC core
I know what you mean about the creepy bit in the park Scott,we have a park here in Ireland in Dublin and its really beautiful everyone loves it but ive always found it a little creepy for some reason ❤
Now I have the song itsy bitsy spider in my head... Scott I am really looking forward to going with a big screen here soon watching you on a handheld phone I'm thinking for a year now. Love your sense of humor in a creepy way🌝 yes get inside and cozy up , cheese and crackers , yum ...enjoy, stay well and thank you so very much for sharing Scott 🌠
Hi Scott. I enjoyed watching your video. The beach scenery was lovely. I've really got to order that yellow bird pepper sauce. The ice cream looked good too but obviously I can't order that to send here to Trinidad in the Caribbean where I'm from and I doubt we have that brand here. Keep good and stay safe
Oh, you haven't taken us to Ferndale for quite a while. That was fun, thank you. It's lovely to see all the forest near the ocean, but also that sweet main street. And buying groceries without spending money in those monopolies is even better. You chose one of my favorite flavors. My body doesn't like cow milk so I've found a brand of oat ice cream that is very good. Yesterday I added a few frozen dark cherries. Mmmmmmmmm. A drop or 2 of almond extract would have been a lovely addition too. I think you're wise to listen to your body and feed it what doesn't hurt. Hopefully it will improve for you soon. Best.
Don’t forget you really loved Storyville Coffee in Seattle’s Pike Place Market too. On your recommendation, I tried it out and really loved it too. Enjoy your days! ❤
Pink Pearl apples are historically grown here, planted by the original pioneers/explorers way back when… it’s getting to be time for them here now (October)… a real treat! They make a wine colored vinegar. Sooo pretty. A lot of times you can find them in people’s yards… might strike up a conversation with a couple of them if they have some apples laying on the ground in their yards… And just a reminder: Be kind and always ask first 👍🏼
I hope that you read the Winnie the Pooh book on your other channel that you alluded to in another video. I totally agree about UA-cam Premium! The ads make me crazy.
Hi Scott, Enjoyed the walk with you. Truly a beautiful Victorian community. They love their coffee boutiques there. Very upbeat shops and I could almost smell the brewing coffee. I think changes of scenery brings mood elevation that supports a sense of well being. o think you know yourself and what you need to live your best life. You found it and don't have to search for it. I love seeing you enjoying your van and your life. Minimalist living seems to agree with you. Does anything alarm you about reaching your silver years? Do you have a bucket list of things you want to do over the next 5 years? Curious ❤
Not sure what there is to be alarmed about. No, I don’t have a list. I simply want to enjoy every day as much as possible. There aren’t too many days left.
Very clean, peaceful, calming town scenes. Enjoy the vibe! Appreciate you sharing your journey! Great haircut !
When I was a kid, we did a lot of fishing out at Centerville. I grew up close by and still live in Humboldt County. My nephew owns Humboldt Bay Coffee. Good to see you enjoy the area.
Oh nice. Your nephew makes some great coffee. I’ve featured them on my videos many times
Is that Thomas? He built my house! He had the shed-building business and made me a Tiny House! Wonderful guy. And excellent coffee. The only kind my coffee-snob tenant will use is HBCC Double Dark French. Excellent nephew!
I've got some of the coffee before. Pretty good.
It was Centerville! 😀 I love Ferndale, it’s like a real-life Hallmark movie lol. Great video!
Great video. Really happy that I came across your channel just now.
I've lived in Humboldt my whole life.
Thoroughly enjoy your videos. Cozy chats. Thank you for sharing your life with us. ❤
Love your sense of humor! 😂
Great video love Ferndale. It’s such a quaint lovely town.
Hello Scott, you look so much better today. Don’t worry about things and don’t overd hello yourself. We care and love you. Goodnight.
Love your Northern California adventures!
Thanks James
Me too love Northern California ☕️💯🙏🇺🇸
I recently joined UA-cam premium and I love it. I watch YT a lot so it’s worth the price. No more annoying ads interrupting the videos.
Awww, Mint Chocolate Chip ! My Favorite Flavor !
Thank you Scott for your video travels. I like how you explain things. Thank you for making a difference in my life and I hope to have the courage someday to experience what you are experiencing.

I held out as long as I could, but I'm paying for premium now.
You couldn't be more correct.
It really is worth it.
I'm not giving billionaires one cent of my money if I can help it!
Ferndale is lovely. I visited when I was in Humboldt fly fishing. It's very charming.

I've heard wonderful things about Ferndale, one of which it's close enough to larger cities and a great place to retire.

Gorgeous beach. I need to check out Ferndale on my next trip south.

I'm outside Jerome, Az watching this at a campground. I'll make instant coffee in the a m. Yuck! Timmy C Arizona

Love Ferndale, such a beautiful area. Only one way in & out, remember when the bridge went out.
It is a long drive when the bridge is closed
There is blueslide rd. If it's not out too and if you really need to, there is the patrolia way.
An excellent video, as always! Thank you!
Thanks Tamara
I started Chair yoga for Seniors, and had improvement even though I live on a hill and thought that should be enough.
Ferndale seems like a really homey "village." I'm guessing the people are welcoming, too.

Ferndale does rely on tourism, so the town welcomes visitors

Do you get income from UA-cam premium? I watch the ads to help the creators and wasn’t sure if you earned from premium subscribers.
Yes, part of the monthly fee gets paid out to us. I think Premium is better for us because most people don’t watch ads.
@@StaticCamperVan Thanks for that answer. I had the same concern as Barbara
I looked this up:
