Dude, you've outdone yourself. This video is extremely cool. I've been watching your channel for about a year, and I always enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work, Scott!
Never seen your content. But no surprise since I follow lots of camping and overland people. The point is; you sound like a professional cooking show. The way you explain, your tone etc. noice. 👍
I’d never heard of Moonstone Beach. It’s absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for taking us there. I love the fog……your shirt looks great by the way. The meat looked delicious as well.
Right around the rocks next to Moonstone is Luffenholtz Beach which is the only square shaped beach I’ve ever seen in my life. It’s best at low tide. The name the Wiyot people gave it is Du’ Pelou’l, which means “where they get flint”. As you’d guess the rocks and cliffs contain flint. When I was there a couple of weeks ago a group of bohemian hippies were juggling, twirling sticks, and one guy was playing a pan flute. Got to love Humboldt.
Thank you for acknowledging that feeling of hunger that persists beyond quick and easy sandwiches and eggs. I gave in and ordered takeout today because I simply couldn't get that satiated feeling lately.
Roast looks so good! My stove died couple years back, bought a hot plate with covered burner for cooking, yes queen of procrastination, but also so used to it now and no issues, I do quite well with one burner. So I enjoy getting new ideas watching how you cook with one burner.
Thank you so much for sharing your day with us! I really felt the calm and peacefulness, and boy oh boy did that first bite of the taco taste delicious!! Thank you!!
Holy moly, those tacos looked delicious, and that crunch! Now I have a craving for chuck roast tacos. 😋That shot in the video when you said, "I don't know why it's called Moonstone" was amazing. As was the sea cave. Thank you Scott! I hope you have a fabulous week. PS. I like the new shirt on you. 🙂
It's the little things not thought of and the simple views not expected that just makes it all a completeness to the amazing beauty of natures constant motion through change. The secrets that lie hidden awaiting to be explored that is pure joy on life's Naturesque.
A nice, and yummy pot roast and a lovely spot on the beach....does life get any better than that??? I doubt it!!!! (Wish I could be there. ).... but happy for you just the same!!! Enjoy Scott ❤🎉
hi Scott found your channel and enjoy your travel adventures and sharing your minalimist way of living you look nice in your shirt and dinner looks delish look forward to your videos
Hi Scott, those caves are awesome. They don't go to much deeper and yes there are a couple more caves but you have to go further north up the beach during low tide.🐢🐩🐶🐕🌺✨🌈🌊🌻🐳🌈
In the beginning I was thinking how much i love the simplicity of your life...and then came the explanation of solar power, wattage, usage charge time, etc...haha...excellent explanation I'm going to send it to my brother as he's considering solar for his travel truck, so thank you for that! The tree trunk was so cool, wondering if it is almost petrified! So glad there were few people so you could share this with all of us. You do a great job of filming & editing..and cooking 😅 This brightened my day tremendously if only for a bit. I think that's your aim and I really appreciate it! The silent threat of a tired vehicle is a time of quiet desperation....for me... You are one tough cookie! Thank you! Wishing you peace all the time.
I agree, love this coast. It will be my first winter here & I hope to tye the knot & become an Oregonian 🎉 I loved the walk on the beach & the cave. You always find the coolest places, thanks Scott ❣️
I just adore the foggy, shades-of-grey seascape, and Moonstone Beach is the perfect name for it. Glad you still have the electric kettle, so you didn't have to wait 2.5 hours for a cup! And those caves were very cool.
: ) WELL DONE indeed! THANKS MUCH for sharing your day, cooking and of course Coffee : ) Love the simplicity of your solar and power setup, and I recently upgraded to a bigger Oupes, so plan on using it in my MiniVan, along with a folding solar panel when not charging from cigarette plug. ENJOY and ALL the BEST ! ! Cheers : )
Very nice video. Love the scenery there! Ahhh, this is my favorite time of year. Since I'm on Mudbay in West Olympia, the early morning fog makes me so happy. I'm looking forward to some rain soon! Yay 🍃🤍🐋🌲
💜 another wonderful video! Thank you for sharing it with us already. I’ll watch it again tomorrow when you release it to the rest of the world. It’s beautiful.
@@seanh4841 yes, thank you for that reminder I need to get back to the playlist for the cooking shows. They were very good! I got distracted by another one of his videos and then a different one and then a different one so it kind of took me away from that playlist for a while… He has such a, wonderful vibe. No matter what he does, it will be great!
Oooh, Scott! That meat made me want to do that with a pork roast. That would be great for quick meals. Thanks for the idea. And you buy local coffee, just don't always get it drunk up before it's time to ,move. I think all the vendors still appreciate not only the business but the shout outs too.
The first walk on the beach, it barrly even looked real. So cool! Thanks for showing the steps to stewing meat, that is one thing i didn't know how to do but always wanted to try but never bothered to look it up, now i know, and you are more interesting than reading a cookbook.
I love your videos this one is very special I love the beach area. So beautiful out there.i I am from Canada haven’t been to the United States very much.Thank you for your videos.
Around 27:48, your filming made me think I was watching the end of CBS Sunday Morning show. They always have nature scenes and sounds. Beautiful! Your meals always look so delicious.
Wow what a beautiful backdrop view while you cook that tasty roast. Love the fog and ocean sounds. Im semi laid up and cant travel much right now 😢 so I am living vicariously thru u and pretending Im walking on the beach and at the dinner table when that roast is tasty and tender. Great vid. How did u know Ive been craving a roast Chef Scott.? Enjoy! ❤
What a gorgeous beach day. Just the weather for stewing beef and a nap, IMO. Those tacos looked absolutely amazing, but I've gotta tell you beef cooked in red wine a la Julia Child ranks at or near the top of my list of favorite foods. And you talking about the visible tripod (nevermind it!) only made me think about what great video work you do. Today's installment was sublime:)
Yes, I will most likely use some red wine in the future. It is my favorite for cooking beef. Thanks for the compliment. It’s easy to make videos in Humboldt. It’s so beautiful everywhere here.
Superb video today entirely; very useful insights into your solar set up and reasoning behind your choices, the cave and beach seems spectacular, and you are right… The tripod being visible is totally cool. Once again, thank you Scott. All the best to you, Jeannie In Alaska
I enjoyed your video today. You did a great job with that chuck roast, it looked delicious in the tacos with cheese. Also a very nice view of the California beach. Thanks!
I've got a roast in the freezer I'll try this recipe with. Thanks Scott. Also, "thermal cookers" are great for low energy cooking and its a set it and forget it system. You could probably just make one out of towels and reflectix if it interested you.
Scott great video your roast looks scrumptious!! I'm sure that will be some eating for a few days but your cheeseburgers are still my favorite have a nice day
That was a very clear explanation of your power set up. I've been waiting to set up for a 12v fridge in the most simple affordable way. I think you have it. Thanks for the description. For instance I've listened to many explanations. This is the first time I've heard it explained that an inverter uses a lot of power.
😘😊😘😊😘😊 I think about putting a small wind turbine on my van, because in pnw theres usually wind if there is no sun, and if no wind i could just drive to create wind😇😇😇
My grams and I traveled all over Western Washington and a little in Oregon but we never went to Moonstone beach. I wish we would have. I live in Georgia now.

Hey Thanks Curt
Now what am I gonna do tomorrow? Probably watch it again lol

And again……
Yes, back to Seattle, since you don’t mind the rain.
Don't worry about the tripods Scott. We are here for you and your life discussions, cooking etc. Luv ya.

loved the foggy beach scenery. I could sit there for hours on the beach sipping coffee and watching the waves
