    Hello, You helped me understand this looper and I cannot thank you enough for that! I have a specific question about FX bank switching;
    Can you only increase/decrease FX banks, or is it possible to assign Bank A to Button 4, BankB to button 5, BankC to button n°6?
    Cheers! :)

      Thank you so much for your comment, and I'm glad you're finding the videos useful. Unfortunately, it isn't currently possible to target an FX bank with a button, and only increase/decrease to the next bank is achievable. I know BOSS are aware of this request, so let's hope they stick it in, on a future update. Cheers, Ross

    Hello Ross,
    Thanks for your interesting videos.
    Can you just explain what is your "clean guitar tone" effect ? Thanks

    • @RossGallagherMusic
      @RossGallagherMusic  8 місяців тому

      I previously used a clean guitar tone on my BOSS Katana, but now I use the HX Stomp. I've created an acoustic patch in there with an OC-5 simulator, and I'll make a video on this soon, so stay tuned.

      You're very welcome, glad the videos are helpful.
      The controller under the RC in this video is actually a footswitch for my amp, and isn't connected to the RC at all. I don't actually use it anymore, but it is thr GA-FC footswitch for a Boss Katana Mk2 amp.

    Hello ! Do you know how we could set up a "Effect Bank down/up" function on button an ext footswitch ? I've found how to assign it for "Memory" but I would like to use an ext switch to navigate across the four input FX banks.

    • @RossGallagherMusic
      @RossGallagherMusic  9 місяців тому

      Absolutely. This can be done via the assigns. Just select which pedal or ctrl/exp you wish to use as the Source, and then choose 'Memory Inc or Memory Dec as the Target.

    Can you tell how to make the effects stay with bank A and then when I switch on the effects on Bank B, they stay on as well (with effects on Bank A already on)
    I want to have different effects on Bank A on my Mic 1 and different effects on Bank B on my Inst 1 which is guitar and want them to work together simultaneously. Either I can use effects on Bank 1 or Bank 2, I can't seem to get them work on both the banks simultaneously.

    • @RossGallagherMusic
      @RossGallagherMusic  9 місяців тому +1

      Great question. Unfortunately, it is only possible to have 1 bank of effects switched on at any one time. Meaning, as soon as you switch banks, the previous bank will be disabled. It is frustrating, especially when you want to play guitar and sing at the same time, and have more than 4 FX applied to both inputs, but that's just the way the unit works....at the moment anyway.

    • @gagealbright
      @gagealbright 3 місяці тому

      you can only use one bank at a time (4 fx total). however you can assign them to only work for certain inputs. for example you can have 2 fx for your guitar, 1 fx for your mic, and 1 fx for the overall mix. or any combination you want

  • @beenay18

    is it possible to assign two fx bank to two inputs and use them simultaneously. I play guitar and sing at the same time. Both my guitar input and mic inputs need fx. I can make only one fx bank active at a time which is assigned to one input; another input does not receive fx. How am i suppose to get two fx banks for two inputs at the same time?

    • @RobBach
      @RobBach 4 місяці тому +1

      Your allowed 4 effects per bank. Make sure you have both effects added to the same bank. And simply select which input will be effected by each effect per separate track.

    Thanks for another AWESOME TUTORIAL Ross. Great stuff. I have a request please? If possible, can you please PLAY your instruments [Cajon|Vocal|Guitar etc] so we can hear what you're doing and the difference all your FX settings are making to each loop. Its great to see everything working visually, but as a musician it would help immensely for me to hear the instruments being played audibly - IF POSSIBLE. Thank you. Keep up the great work.

    Hi Ross I wanted to ask you something regarding the RC600. I am running all my gear into a QSC touch mix 8 then taking an aux out of the touchmix to the in of the RC, I then play live guitar through my mixer and sax and HPD 20. However when I take the output from the RC back into my desk I get this loop type sound that is doubling. Is there a way to switch monitoring off on the RC or how would I best do this without using two mixers.Thanks any help would be appreciated.

    • @RossGallagherMusic
      @RossGallagherMusic  Рік тому +1

      Hi Wallace, I'm not too familiar with the QSC Touch Mix 8, but I wouldn't think running back into that from the RC would be the best thing. Would it not be possible for you to run your instruments directly into the RC and then stereo out to the Mix 8? If you're using a guitar, HPD 20 and a Sax, you could use both instrument Inputs for the guitar and HPD 20 and then I'm guessing the Mic Input for your sax? The RC has a built in mixer and will allow you to adjust your levels, add EQ, compression, etc beforehand and then you could just use your Mix 8 for the master level perhaps? I'm not sure if that's something that would work for you but might be worth looking at to resolve your issue and saves you getting another mixer. Hope this helps. Ross

    I’m having an Error in my new rc600 system error lc1258 . I updated to the latest firmware and it still give me the same error. In general I wanted to know. Do you have a lot of issues still , with your rc600?

    • @RossGallagherMusic
      @RossGallagherMusic  Рік тому +1

      Personally, I have had very few issues with mine and none since updating to the latest firmware. But I do know of a few people who have had quite a few issues. My advice would be to contact BOSS directly, explain the issues you're having and they will usually assist by asking you to send them your RC-600 folder, or perhaps the device for them to take a closer look at. It could always be a defective unit. Hope this helps. Ross

    • @RossGallagherMusic
      @RossGallagherMusic  9 місяців тому +1

      It's certainly possible. You can change the orb indicator and how it behaves on the display settings. I think most people use it as a reference, but it can sometimes annoying, I'll give you that.

    Is there any command in ctr fnc or assigns in Rc 600 to activate certain input bank on a push of a pedal? I could not find one. If there was such command life would have been not so disfunctional. I could just assign the corresponding "activate input fx bank x" command to the play track pedal and the pedal would play the track and activate corresponding input fx bank at the same time. There are only input bank on/off, and inc/dec commands. They dont help. Do you know anything about coding the system for these pedals. Is making a command to activate certain input fx bank on press of a pedal so difficult? If it can be done when using external fx pedal, can you suggest any video link on how to do that?

    • @RobBach
      @RobBach 4 місяці тому

      I would recommend looking at the RC-600 parameter manual. You can select a certain FX with a pedal using an Assign. Pretty easy to do.

  • @ChrisFrederick-x1f

    The answer must be no, but couldn't you just make these Track effects instead of Input effects? I would think when you record and change tracks, the RC600 would switch the banks to match the effects chosen for each track. Must not be that simple?

  • @MrClydie_Po_Po
    @MrClydie_Po_Po Рік тому +1

    How do you get your GA-FC to work with a single amp, without the channels changing the looper effects?? Terrible noob here. Can't find anybody explaining this anywhere. Probs REALLY simple but I'm just not getting the concept!

    • @RossGallagherMusic
      @RossGallagherMusic  Рік тому

      You would need to make sure you use the FX Loop at the back of the amp. If you come out of the RC-600 and into the front of your amp, every time you change to a different tone setting, your recorded loops will also change and that's not something you'd likely want to happen. Your best bet would be to plug your guitar into the front of the amp, then run the SEND from the back of the Katana to the INST INPUT on the RC-600, then use one of the RC-600 outputs (I use Sub 1 L) to the RETURN on the back of the Katana, and hey presto, you'll be good to go. Hope this helps. Ross

    Я считаю что это верх глупости, что нельзя настроить конкретный банк, на конкретный переключатель.

    Так педали после покупки сразу продаются.
    Очень странный девайс😢

      Да, возможно.
      А еще, "волможно" Они сделают send return для того чтоб педали могли стоять где то в середине или в конце.
      Например Реверб (встроенный простой) , эквалайзер и т. п.
      За компрессор, delay, который играет в темп - особенная благодарность.
      Остальные эффекты... Ну можно попользоваться.
      И ещё, если случайно сбил темп у песни (а песн просто квакает) и сохранил - то потом не песня не возвращается в первоначальный вид.
      Всё это требует не дюжей силы внимания иэи состояния.
      Кстати, Ваш стек прекрасен и прост)
      Ещё одна педаль для переключения эффектов - идеально.
      Только я не понял что это за фирма)

      What are you confused about exactly? The unit itself is a very complex machine, so perhaps take a look at some of the more basic controls and ways of setting things up before diving into more complex settings and parameters. Good luck!
