Scott, the troth is too wide! The key is direct flow. This is why I build wing dams at the river as to divert water directly into the scoop and skid plate without having a wide area before it causing back pressure. It needs to be a V directly to the box. So far, I have been able to use my Pack Rat three times. I am beyond impressed given its size. But, this is at the river! Self contained, homemade means have been a challenge. However, the troth idea is a good one, providing its direct. Dan Hurd reviewed the 23” Paystreak Finder by building a troth. It was very successful. Check out his video on it.
Good job, try putting angles on the box before the trap making a v directly flowing into the trap, I believe the way Joe designed it you’re just not getting the right change over through the trap catch, or reach out to Joe, I’m sure he would be happy to help you figure it out. Either way you are doing great. Heavy pans sir
The pitch looks good you could maybe give it another one degree but if you run a piece of wood on both sides and be it to the front of the classifier you'll get them you'll get better pressure
So I put bottles small bottles like water bottles inside and you have to make like a little form for it to fit perfectly but it will help direct the water into the two slots that also helps incredibly
If your ever bored I'll hold something and help test.. I love the GMGT.. I think Joseph is right though it has to be more direct and a skinnier run.. but good testing :-)
When I get the new tank I am going to add the wing like damn to taper the water more directly into it. think it would be fun to get together at some point.

Good ingenuity brother!
Looks cool. Hope it’s very effective.
