That would have kept the instrument from being damaged. Still doesn't let fed ex off the hook for mishandling your package, but would have allowed the nice guitar to have been protected. There's no way I would order any instrument without making sure it was shipped in an actual hard case. I surely do not mean to make matters worse, but in the future just buy a case when you or anyone who watches this channel or any other channel that contains videos of unboxing guitars. It doesn't have to be an expensive case, but spend the extra few dollars and for the instrument to have a case. Any guitarist should know to buy a case. They do sell nice ones for not that much more. Since Fedex saw that Tom Hank survived no matter what happened to Wilson, they don't care what happens to their shipments... Hahahahahaha. Forgive the joke, you have to take things with humor ... But if it sucks that you pay for a guitar in minimum conditions and they arrive in those conditions ... Good luck with the repair or with the return...
A good paint guy could fix that without having to disassemble the guitar or paint the whole body. The damage is in one small spot and on the black only. If you wanted to keep the guitar that would be a good option, you could never even tell it had been fixed.
Must be your area man. Around here we have a UPS hub 1/4 mile from my house. Nearest Fed Ex hub is an hour away. Every Fed Ex package comes in great shape nothing wrong. UPS and USPS on the other hand... Yeah no... They f@ck up everything they touch, everytime.
@@FultonStreetBeatsthere's not alot in this world quite as gut wrenching as your guitar finally comin in and seeing the box just mutilated... Worst one I've had so far was luckily just a String Swing multi stand. Box came in with a giant hole that took up 3/4 of one side of the box. Needless to say my $200 stand was so bent when I unfolded it, it would literally teeter totter in place... It went back immediately with video evidence of how the package arrived and the unboxing so there could be no doubts that USPS screwed up yet again. Luckily the folks at String Swing have great customer service and they sent me another one out immediately over night at no cost to me. Can't wait to see what ya do with this one though and hopefully if ya do return it everything goes smoothly and much better the next time.
I bought a cheap guitar online for my son. "What if he does not like it" I asked. No problem, easy return policy. Just pay for the return shipping. Sounds reasonable. Son gave the thumbs down. So back it goes. They shipped it from one state away FREE 2-day del....but their "return center" was across the country. The cost of shipping it back was almost the value of the guitar. So I have a theory. They intentionally shipped damaged product thinking their was not much chance of a return. And gave me free 2-day air to make it even more costly to send it back was I was obligated to "ship it back in the same way we shipped it to you."....cross-country 2-day air.....very expensive. This is why I fear buying a Chibson.
I've never had a problem returning through eBay. Never let the seller make you close the return until you have your another guitar in your hands or your money back. I never pay for return shipping back. If the seller won't do it, Ebay will make them.
Hey buddy, keep that one and have them send you a new. Guitar The ain’t fucked up it ain’t your fault I shouldn’t have to send it back and they can’t do nothing with it anyway guitar is ruined good luck
Might protect the points but a hard case doesnt protect the neck that well plenty of guitars have been broken in the case, that's why they use styro which cushions impacts much better.
A lot of times, a case is not available from the seller. Especially when it's a V style guitar. Also, a V case would have gotten damaged. Damage is damaged. Regardless. The guitar was shipped properly in foam. It's how I ship guitars also. I use UPS, and I have only had one issue ever with shipping. And that's because of a UPS traffic accident. This is the third guitar shipped through fedex, damaged by FedEx this month, and the first had a hardshell case.

It's all three unfortunately. V's are really not huge. Just odd to play sitting. But standing they are excellent, with very accessible frets up high.
I never had a Flying V, but now I feel that a V is too flashy, a guitar for an old man like me!@@FultonStreetBeats
It's definitely worth having one.
I believe that I'll look ridiculous with a V strapped to my old body !!!@@FultonStreetBeats
How long did it take for you to receive it? Was it from china or within the US?
From Ebay shipping from USA 10 days. 3 days longer than it should have. FedEx lost it for 3 days.
Chindoval?
The original is $9800.00 and has a dan electro neck .
Wha? The original was built by Karl Sandoval for $750 in 1979. He'll build you one today for about $9 grand. I don't know where you're getting this Danelectro neck thing from...
@@scottdunn2178 Look up an original on reverb three sold for $9800.00 which i would never pay for.
@scottdunn2178 if I ever have the dough I would definitely buy one from Karl. What a keeper that would be.
Great guitar, I'm not a flying v fan but that guitar looks awesome, gutted for you about the damage, no excuse, I hope you can get it fixed, truly great guitar
Yeah I 2nd your sentiment on fed ex.
That sucks but they'll offer you some $ back. The right black nail polish will cover that up.
She's worse than it looks in video. Definitely would need some extensive work to make it right. I can do it though. Just waiting on word from the seller. Thanks for watching, brother RJ! You rock!
allen key pole pieces replica of Dimarzio super distortion
It's a guitar made to look like a guitar disguised as another guitar! 🤣 Too bad it came chipped, but still looks really killer esp. to a RR fan. I know Karl Sandoval is still making these, but I wonder if he got a license from Gibson (or at least some unwritten acquiescence that the big G won't sue him).
The good thing about these guitars is that the V design is not even close to Gibson. Or the headstock. Much thicker and wider body.
Send it back , and use a different delivery co. Hopefully it will be fine next time
If anyone works for FedEx, how does this happen so frequently. Please chime in.
Yes please. 🙏
I got the same guitar very highly Moded with the best it still feels so cheap sounds probably the wood so money I got in it they used a wall hanger
Definitely not the same then.
Maybe my Chibson guitars shipped here in the states the Slash is worth buying I modified it like the American with all of them I put tone man harnesses and switches with American Seymour pickups Grover Mini locker with a roller bridge be selling the slash on Facebook soon sounds like the real thing
Annoying ebay search won't let me find the seller
I hate that. I will try and find the link today.
Send it back, you will be happier in the long run. Make FED EX pay for the neglegence
If you don't want it I guess I will offer to take it. Lemme know if you want it to go to a good home.
Mmmmmmaaaaannnnn I wanted to hear it😢😢😭😭😭😢😢😢😢
Soon, hopefully. Waiting on the seller to respond back.
send it back... make fed x pay!
A good paint guy could fix that without having to disassemble the guitar or paint the whole body.
The damage is in one small spot and on the black only.
If you wanted to keep the guitar that would be a good option, you could never even tell it had been fixed.
See if you can get $200 off. If not send it back.
I hear ya. I feel your pain.
@@FultonStreetBeats Cool I'll check it out. Have not eBayed in awhile. Cheers.
Hey buddy, keep that one and have them send you a new. Guitar The ain’t fucked up it ain’t your fault I shouldn’t have to send it back and they can’t do nothing with it anyway guitar is ruined good luck
Keep an hot rod the crap out of it..don't got to worry about scratching it..
I'm keeping it🙂
Order it with a case and you won't have that problem. Regardless of what you think of FedEx.
I see this all day, better quality carboard makes a difference.@@FultonStreetBeats
I feel your pain. Sucks..

Fedex sucks. The last guitar I got delivered by Fedex was also damaged, and the box was also destroyed.
So frustrating
Chindival
Its gonna get more damage than that !
Is it though? 🤔

Fed ex needs to pay for it
