  • I think I wrote more in this video than I did in the last and that definitely feels good!

"Whoooo this one." Yes! For the world you've built to click, almost before you've even brainstormed it, is the definite advantage of whatever niche within fantasy you have a natural bond to. If that makes sense.

Totally true what you said about Pinterest boards! I recently made a video on motivation in writing and included this as well. It’s just so much fun to make :)

Research is always the hardest part for me because it keeps me from actual writing... but I started making youtube videos as well to document my process and I already feel a lot more motivation. Keep going! :)

The exact details elude me but I remember a professor mentioning an anthropologist that just wrote his thoughts as they came and never went back to edit so his books always ended up being a bit cumbersome to read. I think it was either Gregory Bateson or Bronislaw Malinowski, or at the very least that general time frame.
Anyway, I would be insanely happy with 1000+ words in a day. I'd honestly take 100...

I’ve heard of people even picking a random prompt and using that during a writing sprint to help get them into their writing session as well!

I've been really stressing with writing these days to the point where writing just seems like a chore :(

I’ve definitely been there and it’s the worst. I’d say, take time to do things that made you fall in love with writing and the story you’re working on in the first place. Also, as hard as it sometimes is, try to not feel guilty if you go a day or so without writing. Those are a few things I’ve done in the past to help get out of that feeling.

Half the things I've read on KU were first drafts, I think. 🤣 But congrats on slightly better!

Silly question but is Milanote secure? Are you worried people will see your stuff? 😊
