I've been waiting so long for this episode Peter. Watching you draw those crisp lines and listening to your voice is sooooooooo relaxing and satisfying!
Peter my man, you inspire me to free my mind and live a stress free life bro. Not only your podcasts but all of your videos make me smile. Thank you for being awesome man!
So glad I found your channel. Started drawing few days ago because of you and I am so happy about it. Always thought you have to have some kind of ,,talent´´ and cool ideas to start drawing and be good at it, but seeing you just starting out of nothing and ending with great results is just so refreshing and cool. Now I know it is such a cool way of relaxation, meanwhile even a chance of expressing yourself. Everybody can do it, everybody has their own style of doing it and you dont have to have a special talent in drawing flashy faces and stuff to be good/interesting at it...that is what I learned from your channel and thank you for that my friend! :) PS: love your art, videos and you in general. Just knowing there is such a nice person out there makes me happy...
Why do I love these so much? I’ve been in a cranky mood for a few days-and woke up really cranky this morning. Peter’s description of the weird hotel play experience sounds amazing. I kinda want to do that now. I feel so at peace now, which is nice. And rare.
Hey Peter, one thing you could do with the maker space is make some sculpture. I think your drawing style would translate well to sculpture, and the objects you make could live in their space with presence. Look at the options, gather your materials, and art it together.
Hey Peter, just wanted to send you a whole hearted thank you. This past weekend I was in a pretty bad place with anxiety and ocd. Your videos and your goofy and fun manner in the vids have really helped me get through the weekend. So thank you for being such a cool dude and I hope I can keep using the videos to put my mind at ease in the future. Ive been thinking about picking up drawing as a coping mechanism...we’ll see. Thank you, man. Keep being you.
I lost it when you were talking about not touching the obelisks, just running your eyeballs over them. “Not your actual eyeballs, but you could just look at them.” I laughed so hard, the dog was worried.
This is awesome! I like the stories of your travel experiences. The story of the interactive theater was really cool! It inspired me to write some stories! The whole thing sounds like a mysterious experience.
Awesome! I wake up to this video so now I'm making my own coffee and setting my stuff up while the coffee pot does it's thing, and I get to start my day with Peter! It's going to be a great day, I'm so happy :) Btw Peter, you should try chamomile tea, it has a very nice flavor and it's relaxing. Love you !
So we have more love in common, not only the doodling stuff (fun here, just not as smooth as your stuff, faaaar not), but also Yamaha. Seen your acoustic recently and now: The beloved *GL1*! Yup, that's a great thing. Thanks for your existence and sharing. 🧸👌🏻💕🧚🏻♀️
Oh...it sounds like you had a rough time there for a while but I'm glad you have resettled.❤ Thank you for the description of your trip to NY. I have never been there. Love your videos ❤ Always inspiring
I use a french press too. 4 minutes seems to be perfection. 3 or 5 minutes is not undrinkable but after about 10 minutes the coffee tastes like ashtray or what I imagine ashtray tastes like.
Hi Peter, I really missed your podcast these last week's. So I looked and listened to the older ones. Still okay !!!! What happened to the chickens???? I hope your comfortable in your new apartment. Love the new drawing. I purchase your line almanac number one. Awesome man Greetings from the Netherlands
Yikes what a scary story. Poor frogs! Glad you’re okay and escaped safely. Mmmm yes I love my French press! Freshly-ground Pete’s Coffee french roast is my favorite. Then I make it into bullet-proof coffee by adding a teaspoon of butter and some whipping cream. It’s a keto thing. Soooo good!
You listened, I love the French press. I use the same ratio, 1 rounded Tbsp. per cup. Do you have a thermal mug? It's great for camping as long as you can boil water. Glad you survived, how was the house? Raining frogs? Are you sure the old lady was an actor? LOL Everything I wanted to say, you said before me; strawberry fields, sing sing, what happened to house, ... etc, what became of the chickens?
Definitely relaxing. Medicine for the soul. Uuuu..love French Press coffee. I really should do it up and bring it to work. Yep. Good plan 👍 I love Matcha tea from Ocha & Co.... usually have it with the wasabi tuna sashimi from Costco. I have those dinosaur tea things also. :). So cute! I've had baby teeny tiny frogs rain down on me twice in the Philippines. :). Freakin' amazing. Thousands all over..so tiny. It was insane. It definitely happen more often in the warmer, wetter areas. I love Bouguereau's work. Have you ever drawn with a specific theme or topic in mind, like elephants or chickens as the influence. It would be interesting to see how the drawings would turn out.
I read prostration in the description as procrastination and I was about to click away because I wasn't about to come to terms with my laziness today. Love your pointless podcasts
Raining tiny frogs happened to me twice in the Philippines. It was completely surreal. Even with walking I was scared to accidentally step on any of them. Insanely small frogs.
As a ceramic artist, I think you might like to try out the wheel :D I would love to see your art engraved on a cup or a bowl or a vase. I personally really like the wheel just because of the way the clay moves in my hands and it's a very sensory craft. It can take a while to get the hang of but it's really fun even during the whole learning curve so yeah, I think if you have access to a wheel and ceramic art tools it would be really cool to see what you do with it
That's a nice piece. I was thinking it could be done about 34:14, and I got a little nervous when you kept going, but you came through; the other stuff you added still looked cool.
I follow old ladies all the time.. They have the best stories. Especially the nude, mask wearing sexcapade stories ala "eyes wide shut"..lol awesome story Peter. Sounds like an amazing experience.
Thats why i subscribed, goodnight everyone. Aaand keep it up Peter, love listening to your podscasts when going to sleep. In some video You said that people call You „second Bob Ross” and You didn’t acuatlly like that if Im right. BUT i listened to Bobs videos when going to sleep and Your work the same way. You guys have some kind of ASMR voice id say. Have a good day/night. Im goin to bed
Loving your content free podcasts :) such a great way to spend an hour. Kind of a left field question, but what kind of cameras do you use? I'm curious because they film for a long time so they can't be DSLRs. Sorry, I'm a camera guy and these things bother me. Have a great day. And damn now I need some coffee.
I saw a video on a maker faire outdoors a while back, very cool. Also, you need to call a fan and talk either voice or video and record it for the content free episode so you aren’t talking to yourself plus they might ask questions that you didn’t think of. Just an idea!!
I live in nj. And I grew up going to nyc. Every month my mom would take me to a museum. The Moma is cool and they have a lot of famous stuff. But I think it’s kinda overrated in terms of the museums in nyc. My personal favorite is the Met. I remember my mom would just let me explore and I would pretend I was exploring Hogwarts. There is just something so regal about the MET that feels magical. I agree on the starry night. You can get so close to it. The well put together thing comes from the fact we are all goth. No matter what if you wear all black you will look cool.
More and more I feel like we're the same soul in different lives... or maybe it's just that we have a LOT in common and the rarity of that is quite surprising. Or maybe I need more artist friends? Huh.
Every time I go to NY I feel I'm part of some Performance Art piece.I like to visit there but not sure I could live there.im from the Midwest,Ohio where ppl are more chill.
Happend to me as well, I was in the woods and out of nowhere a few hundred small frogs crossed the way, it was really funny but a bit scary at the same time. I'm happy that I didn't kill any
go get your membership to the makers place and make yourself a quality coffee mug that will hold the contents of the french press and keep it hot until you finish it.
I've been waiting so long for this episode Peter. Watching you draw those crisp lines and listening to your voice is sooooooooo relaxing and satisfying!

Your imagination is beautiful. Watching you draw that from start to finish, knowing you’re using your imagination is satisfying to see.
This is literally my favorite video on UA-cam right now.

That interactive theater thing sounds so cool but also terrifyingly weird and I want in

I get what you mean about the size of artwork. I was very shocked to see the Mona Lisa in person. I thought it was this huge painting.

Use T-pins for acoustic foam sheets. Very little, nearly unnoticeably tiny holes. Good luck.
60-70 grams per litre, filter grind, 4 minutes.
AWESOME! WHEW, I NEEDED some Peter time.
A Starry Night is my favorite of all time. My friend named their cat Van Gogh and I wish I had thought of that.

Definitely interested in a maker space series, putting my vote toward general woodworking and shenanigans!
I was wondering how much thought goes into a piece before you start it, or do you just let the lines take you where they will?
Can you do another "What i think about art"?? :)
I feel so bad for laughing so hard at the spray adhesive story. I'm glad you got the foam up though!!
Yo that’s crazy I literally live two towns over from Ossining
Hi Peter, I marvel at your inventive imagination and the steadiness of your hands that produce the magic appearing out of your pen nib.
thank you ! I've missed your videos ...since 2 days ago , but it has been the longest 2 days !
I know, I'm sorry
You're actually not echoing anymore, so you're good to go. No need to worry anymore about over spray.
I follow old ladies all the time.. They have the best stories. Especially the nude, mask wearing sexcapade stories ala "eyes wide shut"..lol awesome story Peter. Sounds like an amazing experience.

Yeah I use camcorders, so they do real well. Just plug em into the wall, stick a big memory card in there, and they're good to go for like 30 hours.
Ahhh thanks @@peter_draws I thought you might be using camcorders. Thanks for scratching that particular itch. :)

It would be cool if you made a custom picture frame for one of your drawings with the machines you mentioned.
For inspiration I recommend the artist Joe Fenton. He makes some amazing frames for his paintings.
This could not be more of a coincidence. I just bought the same paper for my first fountain pen. Ok, I guess I should watch the rest of the video now
So intriging, just might throw some clay,be your new added brilliance.
How does a person sip fresh coffee while both hands are occupied with the drawing? 'Tis some sort of wizardry of which I am ignorant.
Ugh I've been wanting this so much, if u don't talk about coffee I'm gonna be VERY upset.
Update: 1 minute in and he talks about coffee, thank you ❤

You can do a series where you do some kind of project using every single piece of equipment at that makers-space.
hey, thanks pete
A dragon. Rawr
15:05 yep, that´s the one :D
for the maker space: try making a 3d-model with that VR thing. then 3d-print it! That might be fun
go get your membership to the makers place and make yourself a quality coffee mug that will hold the contents of the french press and keep it hot until you finish it.
Hon hon, Peter has posted once more
French press is the best way to have coffee🤩
For an even more burpy experience, may be he should try AEROpressssssh
