I did a couple 0f videos with the older FS-i6 but didn't notice that you couldn't turn off the pots... I'm pleased this helped out and thanks for the compliment 👍
Fantastic terri! You made it make sense Some side is another feacher with the MFU 03 a driver walking to the truck and getting in and closing the door but I just can't get it to work any idea how? But the rest of the video makes sense Keep them coming! Keep on movin 10-4 good buddy!
I found that sound effect a long time ago and did a video of it.... ua-cam.com/video/8joy9M7Ajg8/v-deo.html there's a couple of sound system options coming up, and a few more videos in progress.... Can't wait to get up to Ribble Valley when they restart the Meets. See you soon 😎
thanks for great tutorial. one thing is MFC is not decided for battery above 7.2v. Don't you worry LiPo could damage the MFC unit? and do you have video about light channels to MFC explanation? THX
I have never worried about the Lipo on the MFC, it'll handles it quite well, Adding a Lipo alarm only ensures you don't let the battery get too low and suffer damage... The other advantage of Lipo is the better power delivery, in another video I showed the power drop on a Nimh pack when going full throttle was quite dramatic, but the Lipo pack under the same test held it's power curve much better.
hi teri great video as I'm new to flysky I've followed your steps but I can't seem to get the lights to work I've got the lights on channel2 and headlights on j13 on the Mfc 03 as stated in the manual is there something I've done wrong or got mixed up the Mfc 03 is used in the Scania 770
Forget the manual. Plug in J4 5 6 and 7 in the receiver as in the video and set the dual rate as shown. Calibrate the MFC-03 with you radio with the dual rate switch in the Up position and then your lights should work when dual rate switch is Down and tap the right stick down to cycle through the lights.
Ch5 can be used to control a RC Switch or beacon.... if Ch5 is allocated to one of the rotary dials then it could be used as a variable 2 way control for a tipper screw drive.
the gear shift servo is not plugged into J10, that position on the MFC is left open... the shift servo is plugged directly into Ch6 (AUX) of the receiver and controlled by a 3 positions switch so it works independently of the MFC
Hi Teri, Thank you for taking the time to reply with the answer to my question. I noticed from your video that the shift servo was operated from the left stick as well as the 3 position switch. I can understand either one or the other but not how the stick still operates the shift servo if it is not plugged in to J10. My apologies for rambling, so l hope you can follow my dilemma. If you get time l would appreciate your explanation. Best regards, Neil.
Yeah Teri, I'm a simple guy still learning about RC trucks. I have a WPL B14 and the set up is worlds away from Tamiya. I do have the flysky transmitter however I only need throttle, steering, gear change "2 speed" lights and I think that's about it. Can you please advise me on what brushed ESC and anything else that I may be leaving out. Kind wishes, Edward in Osaka Japan
I find that the Hobbywing 1060 is very good. I use them in all my other RC models. beware of cheap Chinese fakes. The genuine part will always have a red Heatsink.
Do you know if the flysky FS-i 6X works with the MFC-02 for pickup trucks tamiya? Can you do a review of that? I can’t find a review of that on the Internet.
It will work with the MFC-02. I have done a review of it, so I don't have one. If I can find someone with one, then I will ask if I can borrow it and do a review.
@@vman245 The guy who has a MFC-02 isn't on social media and I saw him 2 days ago and I asked to borrow his unit. I will get it from him next time I see him. The set up should be the same as the MFC-03
I assume you are using the FS-i6X and you have set your dual rates at 75% - 100%, and you did the calibration in the 75% position. Did you set the D/R switch to 100% when you pull the stick down?
@TeriWilde ok, but is it on the auxiliary buttons? excuse my ignorance😅 I started the hobby recently and I want to replace the original MJX 14210 HYPER GO command for the flysky fs-i6x that I recently acquired Thanks
Wow, complicated made simple.
Thanks for a great tutorial.
Absolute gold these videos...simply no way I could have figured this sort of stuff out. Thank you for these enjoyable and educational vids Teri!
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do 😎
Another great video Terri, well explained and easy to follow even for a Dinosaur like me. Keep them coming. Nice job on the truck!
Thanks Teri, simple, straightforward, well detailed and idiot proof 👍👏
Thank you for this wonderful video
Your step by step guide really helped me
You are an amazing teacher
I'm pleased it helped you 👍
Great video Terri, on the fs-i6 there is no option to turn the potentiometer's off, but everything else is the exact same. Beautiful model. 👍👍

Very good video thank you for sharing.
Thanks Terri, I just finished refurbishing a Scania R620 and could not get the MFC 03 to work, all good now though

Great video tutorial, just one question I take it that the wire that plugs into channel 5 is any accessory light?

How does the extra J10 wire get connected to the gear shift servo
