Thank you for Sharing ! Did it today the same way except fitting the spring ....Put it in place at the bottom with pliers and pulled it up in the coresponding hook with a tiny thread through the upper spring hole. Worked great, thx again.
Hi Great Instructional video! I'm doing my Flysky today as I got my little package this morning so heres hoping the spring doesnt go for a flight to the moon! thanks for the heads up mate!
I fitted one for a guy at the RC truck meet in Bristol this weekend.... it's quite straight forward, and yes, just be careful the spring doesn't go flying. A reason why I put the spring on the bottom first is if it slips from the tweezers, it pings downwards into the radio casing making it easier to find. Another great tip I got from a viewer is to thread some cotton through the top loop and pull it upwards, and the safe guard of it being tethered if it does ping off.
@@TeriWilde GOT IT!!!! the spring did fly ( my heart sank then...after waiting two weeks for the kit to arrive) but miraculously it fell back on the table.. phew! I put the kit arm in the bottom with the spring on first then scewed down the rest.. then lifted the spring up onto the top hook screw and it just caught the top hook just.. and no more! screwed down the screw to get tension Brilliant !! Thanks for the video Teri! much appreciated! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 I just read your end tip about some cotton thread two minutes ago thats a great idea!!! pity I didnt use it. good job Im not a watchmaker Lol...
Teri, I did this a couple of hours ago…let me tell you, I wouldn’t have even known where it all went, let alone actually do it but for this video, thank you so much. I started my first tamiya kit this week, a scania r620 1/14 scale with mfc 03, I know this series is for the king hauler and slight differences between the two eg steering servo placement etc, but it has been invaluable. Finished the gear box last night too so watching your mfc install and radio set up eg setting end points will keep me on the right track…honestly, I’d have been lost without all these vids…probably will be with them lol Anyway just a thanks to let you know how important these tutorial type vids are..thank you!
I will be at some point doing a Euro Truck build, I've had a MAN XXL under the bed for 6 years and I think it's time I built it. I will be doing the steering mod to it as well as the transmission build due to it having a very slight difference to the King Hauler, and I'll also be doing the close up on the false wall/MFC fitting. I'm glad they're helping you out, it's what it's all about, we help each other and enjoy this hobby. feel free to email if you need any help with things I've not covered yet 👍
@@TeriWilde oh that will be fantastic to see you do a euro build, I will look forward to that one…6 years though without building, that is supreme self control lol. This will need (I want lol) to do mods in the future eg steering etc so plan on tinkering with this kit long after it is initially built, adding light bars and stuff. I don’t have the history or experience with modelling/rc so it is all brand new but getting stuck in with the help of vids like yours will all build up knowledge. Thank you very much for your kind offer of email assistance, Very much appreciated…if I get intractably stuck I shall drop a message off… thank you and all the very best
Good afternoon Teri, thank you for the great video, even though I couldn't hear you, I watched your video step by step and now my FS-i6 works the way I want it to. 😀
Thanks for the video mate, I use Flysky on all my RC excavators and this mod is a must, as operating without this is a real pain, as the bucket dipper arm, keep running on if not centred....
Useful video Teri, thanks. However, you changed out the two steel pins for bigger ones? I don't know how old your transmitter is but the in mine, bought last year, the supplied pins were exactly right. Also, everything in your transmitter seemed very big? I had to use watchmakers screwdriver to remove the securing plates. But all good! Thanks.
Very informative and competent as aways, thanks. Interesting to see your Maplin pliers .. hehe .. the good old days, shame they disappeared, a wealth of components, such a shame. But life goes on.
Informative video! I know nothing about RC transmitters but I am needing one to control my homemade RC excavator, is it possible to use the throttle function to control a servo on this? And use one of the rotary switches for an ESC for the pump? Any advice would be greatly appreciated 👍
Hi Teri I like some of the previous comments first watched the American guy do this modification and was more confused after watching Thank you for an accurate tutorial and fantastic camera angles showing everything that needed doing close up and crystal clear 👌 One question Where did you get your Transmitter.....am looking for a reliable source to purchase one Thank you Geoff P 👍 🇬🇧
I don't think you can swap the gimble because the wires are in a different configuration... the gimble do look the same as the i6s and i6X so it's highly likely the spring kit will fit.

Thanks for the video Teri - the newer spring kits come with the fatter pins. The one I used had a number D265800000 on the bag.
I didn't understand in the past why the spectrum can switch between both moles with the switch in the back. Now I understand why

Where can I get the larger roll pins for the fs i6x radio
I got them from an engineering supply shop in Sheffield

you can use the throttle channel to operate a ser if you wish. and you can use a VR rotary knob to control the hydraulic pump speed.
@@TeriWilde I’ve also watched a video saying you can twin a function to bring pump in same time as you move servo, very interesting stuff!

I got the Fs-i6X from eBay. I just filter UK seller and priced Low-High because some sellers are asking £75 and some only £45.

Hi there just wanted to ask here can I get bigger pins for my fly sky 10 channel receiver please let me know how to get them. Thanks
I'm not sure what you mean by "bigger pins for your reciever"
Do you know if that kit fits the Flysky T6? Or can i just swapp the gimballs arround?
