Just last night the The Lord Jesus led me in family devotions to the part where this psalm says, Unto the upright, there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous ( Psalm 112:4).

A tip for rolling up your window coverings. Roll them under all the way up and secure them. If it is raining and you need to unroll your covers they will not have water in them. The way I see them rolled in your video, rainwater will collect in the roll and drench you when you unroll them. Just a little tip that may keep you dry.

It's a little late in the year now, but have you ever considered raising rabbits as a food source? Depending on the breed adults can weigh between 5-25 pounds. They can be picked up with one hand easily. And, when managed properly, four rabbits (2 breeding pairs) can yield enough meat to total up to a cow's weight in a year. Granted, that living out west you have more predator pressure than the US has in the Midwest, so you may need to keep them in an enclosed building instead of in exposed hutches. Ask around your new neighborhood if any of your neighbors raise meat rabbits. Your State's agriculture department might have resources available to help you decide if it might be a direction you would like to explore for your homestead.
@@wranglerstar Ok, I had to look this up. Rabbits are on the the unclean list for Leviticus (Old Testament) but not for the Koran. I knew an Islamic Egyptian man in the past that told me rabbits were a big staple of their food diet. So when you said unclean food it had me confused for a moment there. Religion is certainly your prerogative in which food practices that you wish to follow. Personally, I only really looked into it (meat rabbits) after a long hiatus of raising rabbits because of my own health problems. I meant no offence by suggesting them as an alternative food source.

I've been trying to not watch network news, too full of bs. There are other means of communication out there to get information. Cody, tents like the one you have with a wooden floor and deck we called them tent cabins. They had them all over the California state parks a longtime ago, when I was a kid. You could rent them pretty cheap too. Wish there was something like that now days. They were fun to stay in with the family.

We're definitely live in a multi source world of imports and production facilities spread all over the place. We got to get used to it as we try to buy American and support our various national suppliers. It can be a bit of a mess but isn't that complicated to figure out how we want to do our best.

A tip for rolling up your window coverings. Roll them under all the way up and secure them. If it is raining and you need to unroll your covers they will not have water in them. The way I see them rolled in your video, rainwater will collect in the roll and drench you when you unroll them. Just a little tip that may keep you dry.
Often, I’ll listen to the bible in the background when I go to sleep. It's a little late in the year now, but have you ever considered raising rabbits as a food source? Depending on the breed adults can weigh between 5-25 pounds. They can be picked up with one hand easily. And, when managed properly, four rabbits (2 breeding pairs) can yield enough meat to total up to a cow's weight in a year.
Granted, that living out west you have more predator pressure than the US has in the Midwest, so you may need to keep them in an enclosed building instead of in exposed hutches. Ask around your new neighborhood if any of your neighbors raise meat rabbits. Your State's agriculture department might have resources available to help you decide if it might be a direction you would like to explore for your homestead.

@@wranglerstar Ok, I had to look this up. Rabbits are on the the unclean list for Leviticus (Old Testament) but not for the Koran. I knew an Islamic Egyptian man in the past that told me rabbits were a big staple of their food diet. So when you said unclean food it had me confused for a moment there. Religion is certainly your prerogative in which food practices that you wish to follow.
Personally, I only really looked into it (meat rabbits) after a long hiatus of raising rabbits because of my own health problems. I meant no offence by suggesting them as an alternative food source.

They had them all over the California state parks a longtime ago, when I was a kid. You could rent them pretty cheap too. Wish there was something like that now days. They were fun to stay in with the family.
