Rejuvenation as the successor improved almost all cons of this game. A less difficult option (still challenging), a more concentrated cast and Audino leveling. Still both games are worth picking up.
I mostly agree with this. I definitely think Reborn difficulty is worth choosing. The only thing to be wary of is Intense mode, a game mode where the opponents use illegally EV trained mons. Other than that, definitely play Rejuvenation too... just on normal or casual mode (as of V13.0.5)
Unfair battles only applies to 2 certain events both of which result in 3 back to back chain battles where most of which were double battles. If you pay close enough attention you would see that Ame leaves a hard counter for every gym leader somewhere in the chapter. (Theres a numel you can get that floors Julia and a Kricketune that tears Florina to shreds, Shelly can be beaten in 3-6 turns if you have anything with rock slide)

Well, Goldeen has lightning rod which makes it immune to electric attacks, Goldeen is essentially a pseudo ground type because of it lmao
I adore the territory mechanics and how they mixed in various Pokemon and moves from different generations. I love the puzzle-like gym battles. They find ways to shake up the gameplay with gimmick puzzles or horror at times. They even manage to give the game worldbuilding outside of just Pokemon. Great game, not without flaws and a little cringe at times. Too many mechanics got shoehorned in but really good game. I'm betting the ppl who made this could do an indie Pokemon game and see a lot of success.

Have FINALLY completed this game through every route! And holy shit it's long and took me YEARS. Don't let anyone tell you this game is easy, because it's anything but. If you want a difficult AND completed fan game I'd say reborn is your best bet! Little warning though that wasn't touched in this video: if you hate puzzles you'll hate this game... some of them (looking at you victory road) are utterly ridiculous and if you are dedicated enough to beat the whole game, the post game throws equally horrible puzzles at you. Also this is not a game where you make a "team" and battle with it to champion, by the end of the game you should have at least half a PC box worth of pokemon (and in my case I usually have 2 PC boxes worth by the end.) So if you love using particular pokemon reborn is not something you'll likely enjoy.
Fun Fact: The different wards are the named after different geologic minerals, except for Obsidian. Obsidian is not classified as a mineral in geology.

it is almost certainly a reaction to the main games being made for 4 year olds. the devs overcompensate and swing way to hard in the other direction because GF has started to infantilize the players so much.

Have you played pokenon Rejuvenation? If not than I suggest trying out its very similar to reborn however you can choose an easier or harder difficulty depending on your skills, I played on intense personally, the story is better( in my opinion ).
This video goes to show why Scraggy isn't obtainable in Reborn until quite a ways into the game, cause man it can really trivialize things I don't really think calling the battles "unfair" is reasonable, as Reborn is a game where you're encouraged to use mons you wouldn't normally, Nuzlocke or not. Rellying on just a small handful of mons really isn't the way to go. You really have to prepare for the gyms, blind run or no. Oh, and seeing the Kricketune get traded away was heartbreaking, Kricketune is actually super good in Reborn
Yeah...I have played a bit of this game, actually recently. I ended up dropping it with a friend of mine uninstalling and deleting the game because even he felt it was bullshit that the game was too difficult, and he honestly liked having a challenge. I honestly stopped playing because I reached a roadblock, that I was not able to pass. Even with me using the passwords, It didn't really help all that much besides instant PC access, the easy rare candy, and those special bands that honestly helped out quite a bit, and increased shiny odds, the game itself wasn't really fun for me. I struggled with the early game and I picked Oshawott and my friend picked Chikorita. The field effects easily the most annoying aspect of this rom hack. Honestly, I'd only recommend this game if you want a challenge. If not, then this game isn't for you. It wasn't for me, but I will not give it some of the same crap that I do for something like Pokemon Clover. That game deserves all the hate that I give it.

If you explore well before the 1st gym you'll have a good team and sonic boom won't really matter. The 1st gym is the easiest in the game. The game isn't for casuals

Original Pokemon games are family friendly. Fangames like Reborn on the other hand are quiet dark. But Reborn here is a bit darker and edgier than most fan games as well.

pokemon desolation is currently the best, imo, if the least finished. the story gets weird, but it is less up its own ass than reju has gotten at this point (although i do still like reju, don't get me wrong). although there is always time for that to change.
i played reborn a few times never traded a pokemon to beat it they force you to kinda use pokemon you usually wouldnt use which i love also imo the game is pretty easy until the circus

You can't get Numel until after you have Julia's badge. Julia's counter could be Moxie Mightyena or Kricketune.

Oh yeah, the lead dev is actually working on her own (non-pokemon) game rn called Starlight Divide. It's part of why E19 is taking so long.
I tried the first gym with a level 12-15 party and basically no type advantages. After like 10 tries I learned how to grind.
