I like how you get to the point without a lot of unnecessary showmanship! You add the dark soy separately at the end of frying the noodles, which was new to me.
Made this last night, such a great recipe. I've always wanted to try making it. Turned out fantastic, my entire family sends their rave reviews. Yummy!
Saw this recipe today and made it for dinner!! I didn’t have Golden mountain sauce on hand. We usually use Maggi sauce but we were out, so instead I used “premium” soy sauce. For veggies I used broccoli and green peppers. For protein, I used sliced beef (I had chuck on hand). I cooked the ingredients a little out of order because I wanted the veggies to be a little soft with a lot of crunch. Garlic, eggs, protein, veggies with HALF mixture poured on, let that sit for a few minutes while stirring, noodles, rest of mixture and the rest in order. SO GOOD!!!
Thank you, Tan! I've been wanting to find a good recipe for this for a while, and this is definitely the best yet. Your choice of ingredients really made the difference.
Tan, you make very nice video because you explain clearly and easy to understand. I think black soy sauce can be less than what you use but I thank you for recipe. Please make more.
I watched a bunch of these pad see ew videos but I’m going to use your video because you look like me. A mom. Not a fancy girl in a fancy kitchen. Just a mom that knows how to cook.
Thank you for the recipe! I made this for dinner and it was so good! I used sliced beef and regular broccoli. Only thing I will personally do different next time is cook the egg separate from the protein. Since I used sliced beef, the eggs were getting overcooked while waiting for the meat to cook. Otherwise, a very easy recipe to follow. Thanks!
You can also cook the beef til almost done, push it to the side, then add the eggs. When they are almost done, bring the beef back into the middle of the pan.
You remind me of how my mom was when she taught me how to cook 😂😂😂 I decided to try your recipe and bought all the ingredients you used! I'm making it tomorrow! Miss Tan, I bought a bunch of pad thai noodles for pad thai. But are there other thai dishes I can make with it?
My 99 Ranch ran out of the wide rice noodles. I instead got the large sheet noodles and cut my own. Nothing will stop me from getting my pad see ew! LOL
Tan can you make a pad kra pao? I used to get it at an oriental food court in Boston's China Town. Since then, I've never found a place that knew how to make it properly. The one I had used ground chicken and the sauce was sweet and very spicy. Would love to learn how to make it properly at home.
Tried your recipe. And it turned out good. But using extra soy sauce like what you did, made it really dark and saucy. Otherwise your tutorial turned out great. 10 out of 10
It’s a seasoned soy sauce & the brand is called Golden Mountain sauce. Find it at the Asian grocery store. Regarding Gailan, some foreigners would not know what Gailan is. Chinese Broccoli is commonly used name for this vegetable . However, regular broccoli from your local grocery store works just as well(most Thai restaurants use this--cheaper & more readily available).

I love this recipe. We don't make at home anymore because we buy it from a small shop in the village for only 30 baht.
This is a great tutorial video! Now I can make this at home instead of ordering from the restaurant all the time. Thank you!!!! 😋
LakersDude626 you’re welcome 😇
One of my favorite Thai dishes. Perfect with a beer.

If I want to make my dish spicy, what should I use? Thanks for the video!
Try using dried and crushed red Thai chilis and use as much as you like.
Thank you, you are a great teacher! I am following your recipe for pad see ew at home.

That looks delicious. I’ve made it before, and making it tomorrow. Can’t get Chinese broccoli so I use broccoli rabe.
Looks good and easy to make!😍😍😍
Very good and looked yummy!
I love making this but have the hardest time finding the right noodles. I live in an area that has a large Asian population, but it is still hard.
Thankyou sounds lovely. Thankyou.
Hi! How much sugar did you use? Thanks~
Looks nice, better than street kitchen food!
At least you use no MSG..
Did you add the black soy sauce? I don't think you added it at 3:56.
She did at 8:25
This is awesome thank you
My 99 Ranch ran out of the wide rice noodles. I instead got the large sheet noodles and cut my own. Nothing will stop me from getting my pad see ew! LOL
Always a Kiwi knife. Best price and quality!
I wonder why so many restaurants took this dish of the menu? It's so delicious.
Thank you Ms.Tan

👍👍👍
thank you tan
Thank you GrandpaLeo
Is it medium or high heat ?!?
Medium at start.
I added more sugar and regular soy at the end before serving. I feel that the flavor comes out more after
If you like sweet is ok to add more sugar. Thank you 😊
I add Chinese black vinegar at end. Compliments the dark soy.
Tried your recipe. And it turned out good. But using extra soy sauce like what you did, made it really dark and saucy. Otherwise your tutorial turned out great. 10 out of 10
Thank you Tan for recipe 😁
You're welcome 💖💖
The noodles are too dark. I like them light. How do I do that?
You can skip adding the black soy sauce at the end, before adding the vegetables. :) That what adds the extra dark color.
@@KameTVStudio How will that affect the taste?
@@DefSquadFan It mostly adds color and is a little sweeter than regular soy sauce.
Adjust or skip totaling
Where can I buy Chinese’s bokoli?
You have to go to China.
Asian market
You are fucking awesome lady 🤛
Can you list the ingredients?
shrimp first before anything else!
We do not understand what golden mountain sauce is.
Why don,t you call it light or dark soya sauce.
You can call the broccoli kailan.
It’s a seasoned soy sauce & the brand is called Golden Mountain sauce. Find it at the Asian grocery store. Regarding Gailan, some foreigners would not know what Gailan is. Garlic is the key of this menu, you cannot skip it
Ohhh my god . I bought only sweet soy sauce and fish sauce
Shrimps cooked to long. When it cooked too long it gets tough.
