Thanks for watching! In case you were wondering, I was able to figure out why I got paid more in June: I got something called a WFH (work from home) allowance that was provided to teachers during the pandemic since we were teaching from home.

Hey, I’m just curious! Is your salary not spread across the 12 months because you are working at a chartered school? I’ve never heard of teachers (permanent employees at least) not receiving scheduled pay during the months they do not work (summer). In Canada, we have July and August off. It’s definitely not “more salary”, it’s just spread out evenly across the 12 months so that we having something to look forward to. Very interesting to see how salaries range across the world.

That's a great point! This year my charter network actually just changed their policy, so we can do a 12-month payment schedule now :)

That's true, but it's not a guarantee. You could also go into product development if that's something you're interested in.
