  • Hey guys! In today's video I go in depth on how much I make as a home care registered nurse in CA. I talk about my starting pay as a new grad and the progression of pay in the last 15 months. I also discuss my biggest nursing pay that I've received so far. I provide screen shots of my actual pay stubs to show you guys the break down of my gross pay, total deductions, and my total take home pay.
I want to be as transparent as possible on my nursing journey so you guys can benefit as well! If you're looking to work outpatient and am worried about getting a pay cut, I hope this video helps!
To all my WCU nursing students or those thinking of going to WCU, I hope you find this video informative on the financial side of your nursing journey.
Thank you guys for watching & if you need any help, you can always reach out to me on Instagram @kriziaann__ .

Congrats :) your job sounds less stressful than inpatient. I am in NorCal/bay area. Hospital nurses usually get lots of Ot too. My biggest gross check was maybe 16k (2 week). I worked 4-16hr shifts each week. I made about 32k gross that month

The classes that I will be taking are Critical Reasoning- GE class & First Year Seminar- GE class too.

I want to study a little bit to know what to expect for next year. I don’t know what to study for those subjects. Do you mind telling me how can i study please?

From the picture of your paycheck, I guess you are a W-2 employee. Working in CA, you pay a lot of taxes. I would love to help you save on taxes and critical illness insurance. You are still young and may change job in the future, it will make better sense to get your own policy. It will be cheaper and not to worry about losing policy or waiting to enroll when you change job. Let me know if you need more info.

Is $56 on market for California?? It’s a good amount but seems low for the cost of living ??

It’s pretty good pay for only having 18 months RN experience! With my pay, cost of living in my area is only about 30% of my monthly salary (mortgage, bills, etc) I don’t have any car payments and split my bills with my husband.

I am Canadian and work in ICU 15 years experience how much would be the usual perhour rate? thanks Thinking of moving to california

@@lesleyanndelacruz6347 depends on which part of California! Southern California has less pay. My mom has been a tele nurse 30 years, pay is about $70/hour. But in Northern California, probably very high $90s. Honestly, don’t count me on the pay. But Check out Nurses to Riches on UA-cam, he provides actual pay contracts based on experience.

@Agnes Cury She doesn't have a Facebook page, an Instagram page, or a UA-cam channel, why?!!!..This is a back door we're talking about, not some kind of extra classes, you really won't expect her to have a Facebook page, it's not safe for her.
