I just heard that george verwer, founder of OM (operation mobilisation-mission to see the gospel shared in every nation) wonderful humble servant...he did not stop serving to the end aged 84,has gone to be with the Lord. Watch this tribute-
George Verwer an inspiration to me as a young Christian. His ministry in Operation Mobilistion changed my life. Gave me a vision for evangelism that has never left me. Thank you George. Looking forward to meeting you again in Glory!
❤ Thank you Holy Spirit for coming up with Operation Mobilisation ! I'm sure Billy Graham will be rejoicing that the seed fell on the good ground. OM changed my life. When I came back from a month of my school holidays missioning in Durres Albania, I was bolden enough to take a whole assembly (500 + kids) to show them what , my husband and I did in Albania. Visiting the orphanage, preaching to over 300 at the bus stop. I daid there are children worse off than us all. Amen
George Verwer revolutionized missions, when he gave young people an opportunity to serve the Lord short term. Many of us have remained long term in ministry
Thank God for presenting us the giant filling with holy desire for God's nation. I believe tt Gegge Verwer now get the golden crown from God as he finished the race and comlepeted the task given from Jesus, and glorified God.
There haven't been many like him. What a response to the Gospel. If a few hundred more had responded like George, the Lord would have been back long ago already.
Good morning family. I am not a member of OM but have had contact with some friends from OM South Africa. From then I love OM. We will always stand by OM. Love you family.
We were so blessed and honored to have brother George speak at our Missions Conference in Wels, Austria last year (2022). He spoke as a father with so much love, passion and wisdom. I am so thankful that the Lord brought us together. My life has been changed and is continuing to change through this humble and authentic man of God. Everyone in the world should have the opportunity to hear the gospel at least once. Thank you brother George and all of the OM family.
he indeed read and replied to your email. and he did it on a personal level regardless of how long it had been since the last communication. although I'm saddend at his passing, i can't help but smile at the knowledge of how thrilled he must be \o/
Thank you George! I went on OM missions trips to the UK and France! It impacted my life dearly. Encouraging video that hopefully will spur you on to reach the nations with the Gospel...Lord, Raise up a new generation to GO into all the world with the GOSPEL!
The world seems emptier now that our brother George has moved on to his well- deserved rest. There he is in the heavenly realm, wearing his "crown of life" for being "faithful unto death". His authenticity and passion have been a great inspiration to me and so many others. Following Jesus, he cared well for what God cares about... people. May we all follow his incredible example and continue to "press on for the upward call in Christ Jesus".
Rather sad to know of George passing. I oft wonder why such giants of God are promoted to glory when there's so much more work for the gospel sake to be done. We need to pick up the baton.
A great venture, but I have to say, someone I know came back from 2 years on one of the ships with an eating disorder which has lasted a life-time. Age 18-20 young people need a healthy balanced diet and this did not always happen on the ships. Everything else was fine.
Praise the Lord!

100% committed...to serve until He takes me." George's life, summed up in that final sentence.

He blessed my life at Keswick and allowed me to sleep in his long coach. From the age of 16 to 57 he has kept in touch me. May I be as faithful as he
