Yam mentions MV agusta in these lists like it's a bike regular people have even seen in person. I don't think I've ever seen one on the roads, ever. Had it not been for these lists, I wouldn't even know the company exists.
Most likely sighting is a mistaken BMW: The pistons are angled up on the MV if seeing 'opposed' twins. The rest of the plastomod for the last 30 years, who knows.
7:05 Tracer 9GT. I've had one for over a year & it is A GREAT BIKE, but with some rough edges. First, the engine & chassis is an amazing combination, it's powerful, handles very well & even the fuel economy is great (over 52mpg even with lots of so-so commuting). The display is a let down, I can't see how this is cheaper than a full TFT display. The touring screen is simply cra@p, doesn't really keep the wind off you, makes a lot of noise & the buffeting is hell. The seat is hard, badly shaped & tilted forward, making for a very uncomfortable time after about 1 hour or so. It's small problems like this that Yamaha could easily put right in production, but owners can easily improve everything except the display. Despite these issues I knew the Tracer 9GT was for me as soon as I tried one out, there were better bikes but at considerably greater expense (talking to you, BMW). The Suzuki GSX R1000GT+ looks like it's close & I will get to find out later this month when I try out a friend's bike once it's delivered, but I already know that the Tracer's MPG will be a lot better & I suspect that even if I'd had the choice the Tracer was still going to be my choice.
Looks like Yamaha are replacing the split screen with a single larger TFT for 2023. I could be tempted to try and retro-fit one to my 2021, would really help it out I think!
@@RyanJamesODonnell I wouldn't be so sure. It might be a new screen for 2023, but after looking at the pics IMO this was just a Test Mule for the adaptive cruise control & it just happened to be on a T9gt. The screen shown looked really odd, but time will tell.
@@dumptrump3788 I would suggest road testing is well past the point of just needing a bike to carry the kit. Both the screen and the radar are pretty neatly integrated suggesting pre-production. Plus, Yamaha don't really have a more suitable bike for adaptive cruise control?
Tiger 1200 GT and MV Agusta? How about the BMW S1000XR (love my S1000XR) and the Aprilia Tuono. The Tuono has sorry excuses for luggage but they have them.
My first new bike was a '92 VFR750F with the greatest one up platform for long distance cruising. Then a '95 BMW R1100RS for more comfortable pillion without the weight of the RT. Currently on a 2002 ST1100 that had 19k on the clock when purchased 4 years ago. A shaft drive is almost requisite for 2000 plus mile trips with a pillion. I haven't been on the Aprilia Tuono to date, but the BMW R1250RS is a much better platform for crushing miles and still experiencing the elements than the RT. The Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX is let down by poor throttle response and the chain drive. Honda needs to get back in the game. I know you are generally haters, but for Iron Butt runs and long road trips on secondary highways, sport touring bikes keep you comfortable without the excessive comforts of touring rigs. When your bike has reverse, it's time for a convertible.

The Super Duke GT is only on temporary hiatus, will probably be back next year on the new super duke platform. I demoed one a few years back, it's literally just a super duke with more wind protection and a bigger tank, same insane torque monster motor and giant supermoto personality. One that belongs on the list. Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX, the H2-SX's little (and significantly less expensive) brother, very similar specs to the Suzuki, but slightly cheaper.
I'll never understand why he bashes sport tourers. I ride the crap out of my FJR all over the west. I've seen and experienced so much on it, all while being able to rip around curves, fully loaded with a massive amount of gear. I have no desire to break my pelvis riding up and down trails, and I want to go fast. The sport touring segment is the best thing going, and has been for a long time. Everyone is buying adventure tourers, but few are riding them off road. The only advantage to those is a slightly more comfortable seating position for longer rides. But they suck for anyone under 5'10".
I saw one of those MV Agustas at a bike meet I went to a few weeks back and it was beautiful. I LOVE the look of the brutale and if I had the money for a brand I don't know where to get serviced and looked after it'd be the brutale.
I have been riding for almost 50 years, if you add in my dirt bike time pre old enough to get my Bike lic. so your opening commentary got my attention :-). Prick lololol. Its funny I am finally looking for a sport touring bike, Late Bloomer, the retro Café Racers are very appealing to me for that reason however I decided to look at a real sport touring bike, how come they all look like adventure bikes, back in the 80's a sport touring bike was the sport bike with different handle bars for a more upright seating position, frig the new sport touring bikes they are all fugly, but not the Kawasaki its nice. I'm going to buy an old 1984 900 Ninja, that is a nice sport touring bike, HP, Yawner.

Lol, my Dad had an ‘81 GL1100, he put like 160k miles on it before he sold it sometime in the 2000s.
I felt that comment about rolling the dice. My current daily developed a problem with the engine deciding to die during movement. Nothing like a bike trying to kill you while passing semi trucks to get the blood flowing. Lol
Lol the Suzuki GT is in here but no Kawasaki z1000sx 😂 though i understand the other given option from kawa is way cooler but also MUCH more expensive! I got the Suzuki GT myself and i love this bike! Nice collection of bikes in this VID @Yammie Noob
Im looking out for sports touring bikes. My choices are GSX 1000GT, Tracer 9GT and NINJA 1000 SX (YOU MISSED THIS).... IN WHICH I REALLY LIKE THE GSX! But Still confused with 1000SX because of great handling and power delivery... and Tracer just because of sweet lime CP3 triple sound-da-re-nos.
Did you end up getting a bike? Which one? I'm currently looking at all 3 same bikes. Thank you.
No one talks about the 1000sx and it's so weird
Tracer 9 GT Baby! Take off the paniers and you can squid all day. She is still a wheelie machine
Torino pizza rolls? When you're hungry you're not you. Grab a Snickers bar...
I got a Kawasaki Versys 650 LT for a daily driver and love it. Gets 250mi per tank of gas and is faster than most cars. Also very comfortable.
Versys 1000 for me, the ADV/ST that rarely gets mentioned but it is a nice bike even if a bit over priced
No s1000 xr 😱
I am currently eyeing cf gt650. Tried it not too long ago and it felt just right (currently riding a fz1s 2007)
I'm pretty sure the classical music is included because it's public domain
Since when was the gold wing a sport touring bike, I thought it was established it’s just a touring bike. There’s nothing about it that handles well. Pretty much the equivalent to a bike frame Harley bike
Of all the videos to NOT include the Hayabusa 😂
Tracer 9 seems perfect other than that price.
You can get an older one for fairly affordable pricing
@@theunknown1555 true. I'm just saying, it's basically an MT-09 with touring suspension, a windscreen, and some gizmos. For an extra $5k.
@@MrMountain707 - Me? I am not included… And I don't think you have seen the to bikes. They look way different. It is like saying the CT125 is basically the same bike as the GoldWing.
@@Gismo3333 odd statement. The CT and Goldwing share nothing. The MT09 and Tracer 9 share the same engine, transmission, tires, wheels, front suspension travel, swingarm, the list goes on.
good info tqvm
how was the VFR1200 Crosstourer left out here? 😅
or the 800. that v4 engine is glorious
@@user-jt6nw6wm5q Yea, I have the VFR800, I fucking love it.
However at the level of sport touring bikes here the 1200 fits in better. the 800X Crossrunner is more ADV anyways.
good for you, nice choice! well then maybe the vfr1200f would be the even more sports tourer
Thank you for teaching me how to pronounce panniers...
Great ending with classical music....👍👍👍
Thanks for your video :)
I'm mad that you called me out word for word in the intro like that.
I saw one of those MV Agustas at a bike meet I went to a few weeks back and it was beautiful. I LOVE the look of the brutale and if I had the money for a brand I don't know where to get serviced and looked after it'd be the brutale.
i have ridden the GSXS 1000GT and i love it.
So I knew I was going to get roasted but I had to watch to hear my sweet sweet tracers name being called 😅
national treasure
The Duke GT was available in the US. No one except my uncle bought one.
As a young poor how can I modify my bike for a long weekend ride. Cost comparison video little comfort mods bags maybe I’d watch that
Nice video Yam.
Pappa Yam, if you manage to come to Spain, i have a superduke 1290 GT for you to test. just got mine this week....and its bananas!!!
Now the Moto Guzzi Mandello might be a solid option in this segment
FJR?
I'm deeply hurt.....
It, like the C-14, is not "latest and greatest" and the instrument cluster is dated. I own a 2013 FJR. First year with cruise control. YAAY!
Is it me?
Or did he say 26K for the upgraded BMW 1250rt, but the video displayed 29K.
Must be the Dealer Appreciation Fees....
HAH jokes on you yam I’m watching this at 9:16
Hey Yamm.. some of us can't stay 20s, if so I would be a vampire..
The right answer is the Ducati supersport s
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Big papa yams
Your hilarious!! You should do a open mic!!
Yammie i liko some gloves on your stor but i live in europe an i am assking if you send it to europe
I find the intro of this video is very offensive.. cuz it's exactly true to me
Really thought Hayabusa would be mentioned here.
For a sport-tourer?
@@johncasteel1780 yeah. Yammie has made jokes in the past about the versatility of the Hayabusa. But it has died down over the years.
Gen 2 FZ1 is laifu....FZ1 is best waifu
Good job Yammie hammie.
The H2's ECU has probably more computing power than the computer aboard the Apollo 11 mission.
That's a throw away phrase. Most home HVAC thermostats have more computing power than the Apollo 11 onboard systems.
Nice vid Brah
I have my Rebel 250 all clapped out as my sport touring bike.
For a dollar value, I still prefer the Kawasaki Concours.
BMW s1000 xr is all I got to say come on people do some research
Lol...1:57, "It is essentially a German luxury sedan...," I wonder if the Benz image was conscious or unconscious, TEEHEE!
I wanted chopper engine on a sporty bike ... Got myself a 2008 Buell XB12XT Ulysses... Exactly what I wanted. Although I sometimes miss a 6th gear ^^
Actually you can buy the 1290 GT in the states my friend has one lol
Radio Shack!!!! Damn I miss those
The Tracer is just fine to ride with a pillion. Don’t see why it wouldn’t be.
Sure, you get your travel bags, which is nice, but you don’t get twin horns 🎺🎺 like you do on the Interceptor!
Yamaha FJR 1300?
No Ninja 1000 SX, Ducati Multistrada Pikes Peak, or BMW S1000XR? 🤔
