I don't think it would be two-piece if there were a sequel. I think it would take a significant time jump and show us the world that Luffy fought so hard to bring into fruition
@@ArrakisHeir88 bro the comprehensive history of Chris Chan documentary is a fucking incredible story tf you mean? That shit is a rollercoaster & the Sonichu world alone might just be more complex than One Piece, never mind the rest of Chris’ life 🤣
I just hope Oda will be okay after it's over. It's often incredibly difficult for creators to move on creatively and emotionally after finishing a project that's been their lives for as long as this one has been a part of his.
@@NjiHyga02Oda has said, after one piece he wants to write and hopefully animate a bunch of one piece spin off specials providing more information on garp, the revolutionary army and other characters of the series
I’m ngl I think oda just grossly underestimated how long his story is even without the warlords. This story just seems to exposition heavy and you can’t really have a war with the whole world without years and years of build up
Oda is ruining the story now, pacing is break neck now that he suddenly wants to finish this in the next few years. He spent so long in dresserosa and whole cake and now he has to speed the story along. Sucks. Plus he keeps introducing tons and tons of characters. We can’t even focus on the crew anymore, the story is packed to the absolute brim with characters. I just hope he ends it soon and ends the suffering. I think he is now surrounded by yes men and maybe some ego
Do not forget, the shichibukai were introduced early. When the crew was going for Arlong, the bounty hunters were talking about the shichibukai and Jimbei and Mihawk as two of them.
While yes they were introduced early, Oda has stated that he had not originally planned for them and adding them may have been the reason the series grew to the proportions that it has.
It makes sense that luffy would awaken in Enies lobby or skypeia because even if Haki wasn’t in the story yet, Gear 5 would still be able to injure devil fruit users. Logia wouldn’t be as threatening to luffy.
You forgot Buggy. It's clear to me that with everything that is currently going on that Buggy is meant to play an important role in the war to come. And Buggy was the first real villain Luffy faced in One Piece. One of Buggy's lines from Orange Town is "If I can't have my treasure, I'll have all the treasure on the sea" aka if I can't get the One Piece, I'll have everything else instead.
I feel like if you didn't know we were in the Final Saga but you knew that Oda had originally planned for One Piece to go 5 years, you can easily tell. Because all the characters are coming back. Everything that was set up in those first 3-4 years is making a come back. I feel like it's very obvious that Oda maybe hasn't changed the end of his story that much. Or at least the set up to end of his story. And while I love that things are coming back around, I do worry that Oda not changing some things could be a detriment to the series.
10000%! Vivi, croc, alabasta, Wapol, elbaf, Mihawk, buggy, shanks, even dragon are all getting focused on again and these are things that were more or less ignored for like 20 years. You can tell Oda is getting back to his roots in a major way. Like you said, I do hope he changed some things since there’s sooo much more to the story now than there was originally but clearly he is sticking with at least something close to the original
@@DaksSake Honestly, I think the thing Oda is focusing on that he introduced at the latest was the Gorosei. The Admirals are there in the story but I wouldn't say they are getting focus so much.
@@mrbubbles6468Somethings, yes. But not everything. Oda never actually planned for the worst generation. And he only thought of the 4 Emperors later down the line. Sanji's past, Gear 5, Haki... lots of this stuff was thought up later on. But as he expanded the world, he needed more stuff to fill it and to fill that world, it had to have meaning. Giving Sanji a new back story allowed some personal connection to make Luffy challenge big mom. Haki was an answer Oda came up with to be an equalizer for the story because the power scaling was getting a lot higher than he originally planned... What was in the beginning basic intent of the powerful (common in shonen) Oda evolves into a power. And Oda used things he remembered or fans reminded him about to create new concepts to add on to his ideas... Hell, Gear 5 was thought up solely because he was losing motivation because he felt One Piece was getting too serious. And even it's idea came from Dragon Ball Super which came years later. Oda is constantly evolving. Him, his editors and his fans are helping build the story together...
Plus his fruit's power is a tad stronger than a typical Logia. We see Enel and Ace and Sabo just have fire, but Kuzan freezes oceans and Crocodile aborbs all moisture around him. Those are a lot more than just elemental powers and hint at awakening.
Great analysis of figuring out how One Piece would have only lasted that long - Also in Thriller Bark not only Kaido was mentioned but Big Mom was somewhat mentioned after Lola gave her mother’s vivre card which then the Risky Brothers say that her mom was a great female pirate, but this could have instead a future powerful ally which could have helped out in your scenario helping the Straw Hats at the end
SO TRUE!! I didn’t think about that. Oda could have had Big Mom be an ally at the end instead because of Lola. Part of me wonders if Oda would have had kaido and big mom just be a couple to make it all easier…
@@DaksSake When Big Mom and Kaido's silhouettes were first shown in the post-enies lobby arc, Kaido's build was really similar to Big Mom so them being a couple could've actually been the plan.
@@kaizoc5314 truuuu! I think their alliance in Wano could have also been a bit of foreshadowing - like Oda always planned for them to be together there (which Wano is arguably the first island ever thought of since it was in “Monsters” back in 1994 with Ryuma)
With all the kids Big Mom had, I thought there's going to be a "secret" love child between them to be introduced later... One contender I had was the Green Bull 😆 ...his actual reveal tho was underwhelming 😌
I believe someone on the rocks crew had the barrier barrier fruit and protected. The island when the ancient weapon attacked and that’s why Enies lobby looks like that
We all but know that someone did; the old Kurozumi woman was able to transform into a few people who were on Rocks' crew with Bon Clay's fruit, and the old Kurozumi guy with her had the barrier fruit
oimo and kashi (the two giants) have been on enies lobby for 50 years and god valley was erased not even 40 years ago so this doesnt make sense. Also to use that weapon (probably uranus) you need the mother flame which probably is a flame that is a energy source which is needed to power uranus. Vegapunk wasnt working for the world government 40 years ago so there would be no way to use uranus around that time. Uranus was used 800 years ago because back then the ancient kingdom hat an undying flame which powered uranus. So it wasnt used by the world government either, but by joyboy and the ancient kingdom
Interesting thing about gear 5 in the anime is that, hard to put my finger on it but it just feels SO much like early one piece luffy. Something about the way he acts, laughs, his powers, the style, the way it’s animated, just has East blue written all over it. Like you said it’s clear that certain things have been planned from the start and I love it
Is actually the opposite. Oda could not have planned Gear 5 before 4, because Gear 4 was the reason that Oda created Gear 5. Oda responded a fan in sbs that he created Gear 5 in order to create funny battles with Luffy, because One Piece like all other shonen manga was becoming too serious (Gear 4 is 100% serious, is a generic shonen transformation). Before gear 4 there was no need for a gear 5 because Oda would continue to make Luffy battles funny instead of creating a entirely new transformation.
@@sonofcronos7831 that absolutely does not mean he couldn’t have thought of gear 5 until gear 4. The exact execution maybe but he obviously had the pinnacle of Luffy’s cartoon / goofy fighting style in his mind waaaay in advance. He just didn’t know exactly when and how he was going to implement it lmao. Him saying that to a fan question doesn’t mean that’s the day he finally dreamt up the whole thing
@@sonofcronos7831 wrong, there were interviews with Oda where he eluded to planning gear 5 for a long time, from atleast the start of the time skip or even earlier likely. But he planned it for a long time it wasn’t something he came up with in the last 5 years.
I Think that Mihawk could have been one of the original emperor's instead of Kaido, because of the standard of power he showed in the beginning and that level being unchallenged for most parts of the series, he first appearance in the beginning giving us a taste of what is to come. And I'm not sure but is in Mihawk's introduction that the warlords are first mentioned
I actually like this!! Either he was an emperor, or as my friend Hidden Island has pointed out before, Mihawk could’ve been a part of Shanks crew a while ago and be like the first commander for him or something. Good point. He’s already being an emperor type Character with cross guild
Mihawk would not be an Emperor as that would mean Luffy taking down Zoro’s main goal. If anything, it woulfd have been that he used to be part of Shanks crew. Because he is so like Zoro. And Luffy is very much like Shanks.
@@mrbubbles6468 Luffy didn't take down Big Mom, he didn't take down WB, he's likely not going to take down Shanks, and he's not going to take down Buggy. Being an emperor doesn't mean Luffy has to be the one to defeat you, so Mihawk being an emperor could've worked, especially if Mihawk wasn't the strongest emperor. Have him be on, but have there be an emperor or two be stronger. That way Zoro defeats Mihawk, Luffy defeats the more powerful opponent, and it aligns with traditional shonen storytelling.
I wished you touched on what Smoker and Tashigi's roles would've been because early on, they were being hyped up as rivals to Luffy and Zoro, even paralleling Garp and Roger to a degree. Fujitora might be Smoker's replacement in the narrative, but I feel that would be an interesting addendum to this thought experiment. Smoker and Tashigi took the kids to Vegapunk, so maybe in Ennies Lobby they run into the Straw Hats and are the ones to introduce them to Vegapunk or at least set it up. Tashigi might be involved in an early version of Wano and Kaido as well
SUCH A GOOD POINT! I wish I would've thought of them too. Smoker is such an interesting character bc Oda had a huge role for him at the beginning but he's fallen off as of late. Maybe I'll do that in a seprate video! Enies Lobby is also where Zoro first used Asura, and he had one of his swords rusted away - it couldve been a good chance to talk to Tashigi about some sword lore too.
@@DaksSakeI am glad you mentioned that. The sword that rusted away was Yubashiri, the family heirloom from Loguetown he received with Tashigi. The sword Tashigi wanted to take away from the pirate's hand and him losing it would make for an interesting interaction.
I love the idea of Croc being the original first yonko, the seven warlords were said to be based on the game Romancing Saga and Croc is an odd one out being his power did not come from the original character's inspiration. Meaning Croc's df power, different from the other warlords, was already thought out initially
One idea I think makes a lot of sense is the poneglyph in Skypeia being the road poneglyph, or extra special in some way. Robin not bothering to escape the tomb makes a lot more sense if she thought she looked everywhere and didn't find what she was looking for, to later find it in the sky.
It would make sense for Luffy to get to Lodestar and realize theres a reason(much like Roger) to start all over and find that last Poneglyph. Him meeting up with Dadan and Laboon, and Destroying Fishman Island, theres SOOOO many reasons why they might travel around the world again before the big War.
Might be easier to get people to watch it if it was shorter. "It gets good around episode 200" is kind of a turn off to most people not already invested
1st, we need to remember that Oda's plans themselves also changed. It wasn't just "if he was allowed too" but how much he ended up fleshing out his world as he wrote. So his own view just kept on expanding.... so the story probably got longer and longer. He probably thought he'd only need 5 years... and then thought again he'd need only another 5 years. But he ended up having more and more to write. I don't think Croc was going to be an Emperor. Remember, Oda knew the ending, not the entire thing... He probably meant for Crocodile to always be near the peak but not thee peak. So Luffy beating Croc was supposed to be him and his crew catching up to the elites... Which is also why Crocodile was so strong later in Marineford, able to fight both Mihawk and Akainu... because he was always supposed to be a step below them. It's just that the power scale wasn't supposed to be that big. CP9 was probably meant to be one of the most elite top powers so once Luffy beat them, he'd have been in the big leagues (same place he was supposed to be after Whole Cake). And Egghead might have been right after that (because before that moment, every arc from Croc, to Enel, to CP9 would have been connected to the mysteries of the world, but instead, we had to wait till later for things to continue till Merman Island and then another few years for Egghead).
Hi! Thx for the good work! When you say that Big mom is first named in the summit war, you're wrong. Big mom was named before thriller bark. And when Lola gives her vivre card to Luffy and says her mother is a great pirate in the new world, we could already imagine she could be talking about big mom. In fact when emperors are first presented, we see the faces of whitebeard and shanks, but kaido and big mom are named. And that's about chapter 160
I wouldn't be surprised if the Netflix RL series picks up the "short original" story of One Piece, simply because the anime / manga story takes way too much time to be realized (even if a lot is left out and the eternal fights are shortened to a few moments), so the actors would probably have to be replaced after 5 seasons at the latest (all in all surely 5 to 6 and more years of production time) due to their age.
The netflix rl series has been condensed down a lot of one pieces length comes out from the drawn out battles for example there are some fights were it takes luffy 10 plus episodes to beat A warlord or pirate. They can just fit those into an episode of the netflix series or half and episode. That and there are a lot of filler episodes between arcs. One piece is over 1000 episodes yet there's only 18 arcs. If they remade one piece with less longer battles and less filler i would enjoy it more because it takes forever to get to the good stuff.
I would be surprised if they did this, considering they have never said they were going to do this. They are going to change things but I think the major story beats that are in the manga will happen in the live action if it does continue until the ending of one piece
This is my second time watching this video and I noticed something at 12:22, yes wano and alabasta are very similar but also one thing, maybe oda's intention was for albasta's people to be the ones who wrote it AND scattered it around the world, the word poneglyph is obviously very similar to the hieroglyphs, and they both serve the same purpose, and we first were introduced to it in alabasta which has a lot of ancient Egypt references, so it makes sense in the hypothesized shorter version
Really awesome video. Its like a glimpse into another timeline. Im quite happy to have the 26 year OP ending. But i wonder what other projects he could have made too.
Looks like I'm the only guy who loves Skype's arc. I loved every single ep of it. Lore dropped in that arc was just so interesting to me .not to mention Noland's backstory is one of the most underrated flashback.
Noland’s backstory might be the best flashback in OP and I say that knowing full well how amazing Law’s, Robin’s, Brook’s, Oden’s etc all were. Noland was like a whole story on its own
@@luci4463 for sure, and the fact he was born around 400 years ago (halfway to void century), helped the tontatta (like luffy and usopp did), and was the last one (other than shandians) to see the poneglyph before it went to the sky is all indicative that he was a joyboy esque guy for sure

Long-ring-Long could be directly opposite of Laugh Tale on the other side of the Grand Line, geographically. Maybe the Aqua Laguna comes from this geographical phenomena and feature, and when the ring on Long-ring-long is revealed, Laugh Tale is submerged until the next Aqua Laguna
Small editorial, only because it was doubled down on. Koby was not first to mention Vegapunk. He was first mentioned in Alabasta in the Chopper/Usopp v Miss Merry Christmas and Mr. 4 fight with the gun that ate a dog fruit. I don't think that actually impacts the rest of the video though.
This is why Oda is the GOAT, the way he structure the world, power scaling and the buildup are just immeasurable. I always been a casual fan, but my old bro was really invested to One Piece when One Piece reach 1k chapters in Manga, I realize what I'm missing out, so I rewatch the whole thing. Great stuff and hats off to Oda.
Wasnt Big Mom also teast in Thriller Bark? Like I'm pretty sure we did not get a name drop, but Lola sad something about her mother being a strong pirate on the grandline or something, no?
I love this video a lot but I do wanna say, I think the first 100 chapters would've definitely been condensed as well. Remember, even though we didn't MEET our first Warlord (or Shichibukai or whatever) until Alabasta, the idea of the Warlords were first introduced to us during the Baratie arc!! So Oda may not have originally planned for them until he realized he was allowed to write much more than he originally that, but he found out he could keep writing for however long well before the anime released and even well before the manga reached Arlong Park.
He didn't actually introduce the idea of Warlords until the first chapter of Arlong Park, and we met our first Warlord in Baratie with Mihawk, we just didn't know he was one until after.
After you said the connection of imu and thriller bark, I thought it fairly interesting. Thriller bark is hidden in the mist, imu rules from the shadows. Freezer, controlling people without their knowledge (making his zombies, imu controls the world by giving the illusion of freedom but he's the one who truly decides everything)
I may be misremembering but we never see Ace's arms (with the Sabo tatoo) until after Drum Island. So at some point Oda must have decided that Ace was going to die, before Alabasta wrapped and he needed to create Sabo in order to fulfill the role that Ace was originally going to have in the 5 year plan
@@waluigihentailover6926 people say "Luffy is not a hero, he only does heroic things for his friends", but at the same time he befriends everyone he comes across almost instantly 😆
Bro… BROO I know this wasn’t easy to put together but you’ve gotta be absolutely correct 😭 it just makes too much sense ! Can’t wait to give ya a hug at AnimeNYC, the Dak’s & Acks connection lol
Personally I don’t think that even 300 more chapters would be sufficient to explain all the things that Oda has kept under wraps and also have the final war, the thing about One piece is that there’s just so so much stuff to still explain that if anything got rushed at this stage then it would feel like the hard work of the last 25 years has been for nothing, I don’t care if we don’t get regular chapters, I just hope that Oda takes care of his health but still draws this beautiful story to perfection even if it means that we get irregular chapters ( because Oda deserves all his breaks) , after investing his entire life into this I don’t want this series to end in any sort of rushed manner wherein the fans & even the author don’t feel satisfied.
I think destroying the redline would be the ending of this story, by destroying the redline it would create a chain reaction that makes all of the sea connected thus achieving one-piece and all would have freedom to sail.
Oda said One Piece is a tangible item, but I got what you mean. Red Line would lead to All Blue, and this would happen possibly near the end of story too
i honestly think the "re-traveling" back thing is going to happen during the final war. they find the one piece/laughtale, expose it to the whole world, have everyone shake and take a position about it, and then divide during the final war as each mugiwara travels back to one of the countries they've been at (nami in skypea, zoro in wano, usop in elbaf, franky at water 7, nico robin in alabasta...etc) with their own "fleets" and fight the war all over the world again, not only at marejois.
I think that a lot of the connection are moreso Oda foreshadowing future events in the early arcs, not so much remnants of a shorter story. I think Oda would’ve known by the time we got to the grand line that he would need more than 5 years. But the same idea goes with the foreshadowing for the final sage
What I think is being shown in the video is that Oda had thought it had to be short before alabasta, and probably had the next few arcs like skypiea and other general story beats planned out. Instead of just scraping the entire arcs and coming up with something new on the spot, he altered them to become foreshadowing or parallels to the final saga that we will actually get.
Im 26. The first episode of one piece air on national tv in 2003. That time my family cant afford tv. only few household can afford it. so the other children and me would gather at our friend's home just because we dont wanna miss any single episode. Cant believe i grow up with one piece untill today. What a great show, a great childhood ❤❤❤ And i subscribed your channel. Keep the good work💪
I strongly disagree that Big Mom was originally not going to be an Emperor. I'm pretty sure Twin Capes and the beginning of Whiskey Peak were originally setting up for Big Mom and Oda switched gears mid arc on Whiskey Peak.
I think Brook also would have been introduced in Big Mom's arc which is why Luffy specifically talks about recruiting a musician and we get Laboon's story at that time
Robin and Franky were additions to the crew after the shift in the direction of the story. They are not in Oda's early drawings. Your speculation about the original plot is fun, but I don't think it is at all accurate.
Maybe the ending requires a brother with a fire devil fruits and that's why we have Sabo reintroduced in the story. Maybe whatever role Sabo will play in the end was meant for Ace in the shorter version
I think people are forgetting what Oda once said too much. I am talking about the order of things. I also see going to laughtale as something that will happen before the real final war, but then again, Oda himself basically confirmed that this will not be the case. He told the readers that One Piece will end when they have arrived at LaughTale, wich meens LaughTale is the true last arc in Oda's mind. I have no clue how all of this will add up, but then again, Saul holds a lot of the answeres that we could get at LaughTale, so we do not really need to go to LaughTale before the World Government War. Just a piece of my mind :))
The One Piece is likely a humorous letter by Joy Boy, and to fit it in, I do think it would be more of a "laughtale" if the strawhats found it AFTER it could've been remotely helpful.
Finally someone analysing this! I always wondered what Odas initial plans would be as he couldn't have known in the first years how long his manga will be produced yet alone planed 1000+ chapter in 25 years. Thanks man, now let's see what you have found.
I believe the original plan was that the yonko saga was going to begin after eneis lobby because we are introduced to the raw power of some of the top tiers of the verse because of aokiji. Luffy also gains his first power buffs being the gears in this saga. In this version of events the warlords wouldnt exist so neither would thriller bark meaning we would be going straight to sabody. Without the warlords or supernova i could see the strawhat crew having to fight against kizaru in this arc and getting defeated and sent to impel down, where the events go about the same except for luffys crew being at marineford. We then get to fishman island after the TS which would go about the same way except jimbei is just a sun pirate and not a warlord because he was an intended pirate. Now the kaido and big mom saga gets heavilly shortened this time around because doflamingo doesnt exist. While i think its unlikely that the strawhats just go straight to zou leaving fishman island I cant think of any other plotlines to fill in for punk hazard and dressrosa. The timeskip would serve as the training arc that gets luffy to the same level of power as he was at the start of wano because this story is much shorter. Luffy might even end up fighting jack in zou as a replacement to katakuri in order to kick off the beast pirate v strawhat conflict in wano.
One potential way this could come back is through the Live Action. Being Live Action, it's very unlikely that they'll be able to adapt every part of the story since it's so long, but they might be able to adapt the original, 5-year plan version of One Piece without having to be the longest and most expensive TV show ever made.
I have another reason to think Skypea was meant to be one of the final arcs. 4kids dub ended after skypiea and I think it wasn't just because it was a bad dub, but they bought rights to one piece in it's original duration. Since it was supposed to end soon after skypiea, they didn't have rights anymore so they ended it
It’s not just that One Piece has gone on for so long, it’s that it has remained consistently good. None of it is filler, and if you look close there’s allusions to what’s to come next in the journey in the most unlikely places. Even the likes of Punk-Hazard and Sabaody where it did sort of drag in places, there’s been more than enough going on to keep readers invested in the tale. Heck, every character, and I do mean every single one of them, has a backstory that is interesting and well constructed, such as Koala from the Revolutionary army, and even Otohime, the dead queen who really played no major role in the major narrative beyond building up the world around them. The only really underwritten characters, in my opinion, are Dragon and maybe Sabo. Dragon has had next to no screen time and hardly a mention, and Sabo is just kind of…there. Yeah, I don’t really like him and it just feels like he’s there to replace Ace. He’s ultimately pointless. But if those, and the overly gratuitous fan service, are my biggest gripes in an over twenty year old story, then you’re doing darn well for yourself.
As a long time fan and consistent reader of One Piece, I do *not* think the quality has been consistent. I would say it dropped in quality after Enies Lobby. Thriller Bark was not a character focused story, Brooke's backstory was largely irrelevant to it. At least Saobady Archipelago had Camie and Hatchan, but the Ace war and everything after the time slip has been a rambling mess. The Straw Hats aren't really interesting as characters anymore, they're Flanderized, and the fights are reduced to mostly genetic shonen with the implementation of armament haki.
5:43 Oda didn't say the story was going to last 5 years because he wasn't sure he'd be allowed to continue, but because that's how long he believed it was going to take him. Otherwise, how can you explain that he told his wife in 2004 "ten more years", and that he said "5 more years" like 4 times ever since 1997? It was never a matter of "Will I be allowed to tell the whole story?", but about the story telling itself. Oda's character work is one of the best there is, and that's because he creates the character, and decides when they will appear, but the characters decide what they do. He creates a rich backstory for them, a lifetime of experiences that forged a personality, and then he let's them act based on that personality. Add to that the fact that as the story progresses, more and more characters need to be added, so telling a week of in-world time in 2000 took 1/4 the time it took to tell a week of in-world time in 2020. In the East Blue, for every action they Strawhats took you only needed to worry about the reaction of their friends/relatives and maybe a local branch of the Marine. Now they are one of the five major political forces in the planet, every step they take affects the entire world. Example: * June 1998. Luffy farts > Nami makes a disgusted face, Usopp laughs, Zoro sleeps, Sanji complains about the smell tainting the flavour of the food * June 2018. Luffy farts > Nami makes a disgusted face, Usopp laughs, Zoro sleeps, Sanji complains about the smell tainting the flavour of the food, Chopper wonders if Luffy is healthy, Robin laughs at Luffy and Usopp laughing, Franky yells SUPER, Brook makes a skull-joke about not having a nose, Law makes his Wano not-flinching face, Carrot covers her nose and bites Luffy, Kin'emon says "congratulations" with his own farts, Momo takes the shot to jump onto Nami, Kanjuro looks shady from the side > Morgans spins a sensationalist newspaper article about the Strawhats declaring they are going to use mustard gas against the Kingdom of Prodence that is read in all corners of the world > Shanks meets with someone covered in shadows > Luffy's Princess Fan Club at Reverie meet with King Elizabello II to ensure Luffy is not going to do that > Blackbeard moves against Dressrosa that has historically helped Provence, so when they move their troops out, he can take it and attack the Strawhats as they are done fighting in Prodence > Sakazuki tries to send Fujitora to catch the Strawhats when they attack, but he smells something fishy so he gets in touch with King Riku at Marie Geoise before leaving, defies orders to go to Dresstosa, and finds out Shiryu has already infiltrated the country > Dragon foresees this fake article will cause problems, and summons back his commanders to the Kamabaka Queendom > Sabo is caught in a photo leaving Marie Geoise when going back to Kamabaka accidentally walking close to the King of Lvneel, and the citizens start a revolution thinking the whole RA is making a move, using Montblanc Noland as their flag against the tyranny of the Royal family > Morgans meets with Cricket to talk about the history of his forefather > He writes a revisionist history article about Noland the Liar > The book starts selling like never before, so the editorial in Lvneel that publishes it gets billions of berry, that they pledge to their saviours, the Revolutionary Army. Thus, Luffy farting gained the RA billions of berry for their cause, but it prevented Sabo from finding out about the secret of the Gorosei or Cobra's words, Vivi and Wapol are fucked, Kuma is still there, Bonney might be dead, and the Strawhats have no idea of anything, because they have just reached isolated Wano
@@aaroncarlsback7239 But that's how it works! I went into a bit of a hyperbole, of course, but the story has changed A LOT since the East Blue, a single action affects way more people
YES SAKE! my fav theory finally brought up is the Kuma racing to slap the gang back into countries that needs helps or liberating so that EVERYONES geared up for the final battle. the call w the gorosei will get ppl to side with the squad as they panic bc of natural disasters. also Kuma by far was caught waaay off guard not thinking the world itself would rumble, which triggered him to rush and bc the 2nd void opening, he on the way to set this thing in motion (by sending our commanders to where they need to be) only way i see the squad rise up as kings/queens is thru this task. this mugi squaad will each go thru their “wano luffy” stage. JOYBOY was prolly SADBOY instead he must a been a loner fighting by all by himself😮💨
The ad I got on this video was a crunchyroll ad that straight up had the most recent big one piece spoiler in it. I was really hoping not to see it animated until I was caught up :(
This is a interesting thought experiment. And I like a lot of your ideas, so I'll go off on some of them. The alternate Yonko including Crocodile makes sense, so I'll agree with that. And there only being one Road Poneglyph also makes sense. I don't agree with EVERY saga being combined by the end, since I think Oda would have left a few things out if this only ran for about 5 or 6 years and around 300 chapters. If One Piece had been a relatively popular, but not SUPER popular manga like Toriko, it's reasonable for it to run about 30 volumes or so. So, I'll agree with the manga being about the same up until Alabasta. Crocodile's a Yonko instead of a Warlord. And I'm going to say he escapes with the plans for Pluton by the end of the story and brings it back to the World Government. In this version, the 4 Yonko would basically be taking the place of the Gorosei, being the power hiding the true Ruler of the World. I'm not sure if Oda had come up with Imu yet, but lets assume Imu is still the true ruler of the world, for simplicity's sake. One change I'll make. I think in this version, Mihawk would ALSO be a Yonko instead of Shanks. Shanks would still be in the story, but in a changed capacity. The Strawhats make their way to Jaya and meet Blackbeard like normal. Then they go to Skypeia. And another big change. Instead of Enel, they meet Whitebeard. In this version, not only is Whitebeard a Yonko but he's also a Skypeian with wings, using his influence with the World Government to protect Skypeia...and the Lunarians. The idea of Whitebeard with tiny little wings on his massive back is just kind of funny to me. Luffy faces off with him instead of Enel, and we end up with Luffy's Nika silhouette. The fight MIGHT end with Ace protecting Luffy from one of Whitebeard's attacks. Ace dying by Whitebeard's own hands breaks Whitebeard and he loses the will to fight. But, in another change, we also recruit a DIFFERENT musician here, since we won't ever meet Brooke in this version. We get a Lunarian/Angel musician instead of a skeleton musician, basically turning King into Brooke. And maybe a bit of Robin in there. I’m not sure if Robin would be recruited in this version, and having a Lunarian would ALSO allow them to translate the Poneglyph they find on this island and lead them to the One Piece. So a version of Robin who’s a Lunarian Musician. Sure, let’s go with that. After that, they go to Long Ring Long Land, and instead of Foxy, they face off against Kaido. "Long" is just another word for "Dragon", after all. So LRLL is basically changed into what Wano would have ended up being, with more of a Japanese feel, but more a home for the various Long Limbed tribes. And instead of Pluton, hidden underneath LRLL is the One Piece, which the World Government has been hiding. It makes sense for a Dragon to be the one to protect a massive treasure. The rest of the Strawhats have to step up, because Luffy is devastated by Ace's death. So Sanji and Zoro have to step up to defeat the strongest creature in the world. They discover the secret of the world. And then they start off to fight against the World Government. We basically skip all of Water 7. And we basically combine Enies Lobby and Marineford into a single arc. Instead of Robin being captured, Shanks is being held by Imu and Mihawk and is about to be executed. Shanks tried to fight against the World Government without finding the One Piece and failed. And to throw another monkey wrench into the works, Blackbeard shows up. In this version, Blackbeard has NO crew. In a dark reflection of Luffy, he's a man who believes he doesn't NEED anyone but himselves in order to sail the high seas. He's a one man crew, with either split personalities or multiple powers. Buggy would also show up again, just by chance. And Monkey D Dragon and the Revolution would also coincidentally choose THIS moment to attack. So, we end the series with a big war between Mihawk, Buggy, Dragon, the Strawhats, and Blackbeard. Luffy saves Shanks. Saving Shanks breaks Luffy out of the funk he's been in since Ace's death and also activates his "Awakened" Nika form, completely skipping the other Gears completely. Luffy "rediscovers his smile" by saving Shanks. Then Imu starts using Pluton against Luffy, causing some of the disasters around the world, instead of the Mother Flame. Pluton would destroy Marineford/Enies Lobby and create the first hole in the ocean that we ever see in the story. Luffy stops Imu. Has a big party. Buggy takes this chance to declare himself the new King of the World. And the Strawhats continue sailing around the world to see the rest of the world, only hinting at all the islands we missed out on seeing together with him. The End. It's a abrupt ending, but I think that'd be the case if Oda had to kind of wrap things up quick.
30:00 - Wow. Those are Oda's words .... 🙇🙏 Very logical, matured , to the point and made even more interesting !🤩 I remember him having mentioned prior on some news article that "series of this plot will stop but there is scope for another !" So OP2 can be there 🙏 Only that it may be shorter more interesting, if he wills to write it. Also read that even he is in love with his work so anything can happen.
Absolutely agree with you & I had the same thought on skypea’s poneglyph & Roger message on a 5yr one piece. A hard as heck to reach place w a confirmed spot knowing Luffy is following on the pirate kings steps. That message was meant to say ‘I’m going to Laugh Tale follow me if you will!’ Love it
Great video as always. This video hyped me up because imagine Luffy returning to Goa kingdom with his whole crew that would be awesome hope we see that Also maybe his reunion with Shanks happens where it all started?
7:28 No, that was not Luffy's reason to do it AT ALL. He did it because it was an adventure, he had no idea about the bell being there. For all he knew, same as Noland and Cricket believed, the island sank to the bottom of the ocean
Great video once again! I wonder if fishman island got affected by a similar weapon that imu used on lulushia, I feel like the water going down into the hole only raises the sea level because it’s just like putting a ball into water, it’ll begin to over flow. Perhaps due to fishman island having this happen to the island during the void century the water filled that area of the ocean, which is happening to the hole in enies lobby and now at lulushia. With fishmen being able to breath underwater they were probably able to put a bubble around the island in order for the oxygen to stay in the area
The Super Novas would not exist had the story be shorter. It was confirmed that one of Oda’s editors suggested to him to create them. To make the chapter more interesting. Oda then came up with all of their design within a few hours. Also, CP9 reappearing wouldn’t have been a thing. Oda was basically forced to reincorporate them in some material. And since they were back now, he thought he might as well let them be in egghead
Had to stop the video at the 3 minute mark cause some future spoilers for me anyway cause I'm only on episode 281 where they are trying to lower the draw bridge and they all jump off and some flash backs are shown. Only started watching this series since early July before I heard a live action series was coming to Netflix which was good too. Yes I knew of the series, but never got around to it and when I first thought I'd start in 2009 I thought it was too many episodes to start. LOL. So when do I start? 10 years even further. Haha.
I think that the reason for turning around at the end of grand line might be a "pole shift" theory which i recently saw at grand line rewiew channel. I suggest everyone reading this comment to go look it up because it seems to make sense to me and i think we could kind of mix it with the whole ending on long ring long land theory.
9:05 Actually, the first 100 chapters are the best example of the point I made earlier: Oda purposely left a shitton of stuff out of Loguetown (and then commissioned a Light Novel to be written using his original plans for it) to force the East Blue to end at chapter 100. Oda never thought it would take him over 100 chapters to tell the East Blue story, but if you read the manga you see his characters getting more complex and fleshed out as the story progresses. Zoro's backstory compared to Nami's is a joke in length and depth, for example. In the same spirit, Morgan's motivations compared to Arlong's are the most stupid you can get. And if he were to re-write the East Blue, it'd take him even longer, as all character would be more fleshed out. Dressrtosa itself could've been like 50 chapters longer if he added all the backstories to the Doflamingo Family as he intended, instead of just Señor Pink's and Baby 5's
Awesome to finally see this! Great concept idea. I just don’t think Oda could have finished it in 5 years. One Piece started when he was 22. It could be his brain matured early, but a human brain doesn’t usually fully mature until we’re around 24 years old. I don’t think he knew how to pace his own writing and I don’t think he understood what five years meant in creation of a project. Even then, we have new ideas every day. If he’s thinking about One Piece for five years, his ideas are bound to change. He may have had the concept down, but I think it’s more likely than not he wouldn’t have been able to jam everything, even with cutting stuff out, into that span. If it ended, it likely wouldn’t have ended the way he wanted and it could have been a story that stopped short of an ending. And that isn’t uncommon in the manga industry. But great video overall.
I recall Oda saying one of the contributing factors for why One Piece ended up being longer than he intended was the Seven Warlords of the Sea, specifically that there were seven of them, seven characters he had to introduce and make relevant before moving on to the Four Emperors. He actually kind of regrets it somewhat, saying he picked "seven" arbitrarily because he thought it was a cool number at the time, but because he needs to think of ways to integrate these characters and important story elements, that's what ended up expanding the story beyond its original scope; same thing goes for the Eleven Supernovas, which he created basically in a day and had no plans on how they were going to end up in the story as a whole. I think it's rather telling how fans tend to view Thriller Bark in a perfunctory light since the only major thing that happens in it is that Brook joins the Straw Hat Pirates. Sure, there are a lot of other things that end up getting added to the story arc that get touched upon more and/or resolved in it, like Zoro getting a new sword, introducing Gecko Moria and showcasing Bartholomew Kuma and his powers, but the arc as a whole feels awkward in terms of its placement in the broader story, right after Water 7/Enies Lobby and all the drama with Nico Robin and the World Government, and right before the Straw Hat Pirates get separated and Luffy races to rescue Ace during the war at Marineford. I'm not even saying the Thriller Bark arc is bad, I quite like it, but it's tempting to look at it in the grand scheme of things and think of the arc in the context of that grander story, though I feel like in doing so, we fall for the same trap certain other fans did with Skypiea, dismissive of an otherwise epic arc because of how disconnected it was from the broader story, only to do a 180 when Oda reveals stuff that was set up in Skypiea are actually returning and paying off. I guess what I'm getting at is, sometimes we end up missing the forest for the trees when we look back at One Piece's story, and don't fully appreciate the effort Oda has put forth in giving these characters and story elements the time they need and deserve to have us so invested in the story to begin with.
Thing is most of the actual plot relevent stuff is not that much of the manga. So he could do it in 250. A lot of OP is padding, great padding. It could absolutely be consensed way down.
@@ArrakisHeir88if it was part of Oda’s OG plan it would undoubtedly have been over quicker than whatever we’ll get now. I don’t think Rocks was intended and honestly not really needed.
I think Oda's initial plans were to make Luffy Pirate King and keep it simple where Luffy's final dreams would be to claim One Piece Well, we can say that he changed his plans overtime and decided to spice it up, and the final target is EASILY not the One Piece Even Luffy said that his dream might be possible if he becomes Pirate King, meaning Pirate King or One Piece ain't the final target or dream anymore I believe it all changed at enies lobby where Oda decided to bring in "Evil World Government" In and start plotting thw final war
I love you already, I tried to make a personal rewrite of one piece on my notes so I can try to make it shorter but not to different but I’m surprised how you made it way shorter and still make it feel like great one piece, I couldn’t stop my grin all the way until the end starting with how you handled skypiea
Great video 🌟Thanks for it 🙏 It was almost a walk through a multiverse with different Odas and different endings of the One Piece 🤩 Am glad that this one took long enough because honestly............ I never want to discover the "One Piece" and don't want the story to end 😂 This story and the plot is EPIC ! 🏆
Long ring land would seal the deal reaching laugh tale. I’ve watched ur LT being here during Agua Laguna.. What if Agua Laguna happens due to a ‘cause and effect’ scenario. Cause- a whale pops up there once a year, effect- Agua Laguna. Having nothing or not connected to with Enies Lobby. 😮 u heard it hear first… unless someone’s speculated b4 me 😅😅
Now Oda Even Sold Out, Because If He Doesn't Sue Steve Aoki For Literally Making Clothes & Using Its Likeliness To A T, Then One Piece Is Dead & Being Milked 🤣
afaik before skypia (alabasta ark) strawhats already knew about 4 road porneglyphs are mentioned 26 in total 4 road (red) 3 for the weapons when nico robin was making the story dump about the rio porneglyph
Yeah i always knew that oda was probably going to end it after skypia arc cause after that arc, all the big secrets regarding the one piece and roger pretty much were absent until after the new world arc began.
Thanks for this video! I was curious how it would had ended sooner as I did knew Oda original plan to end it in a few years but enjoyed it so much it continued as it is today!
If Crocodile was originally intended to be an Emperor, I imagine the Alabasta Saga would've been much different. Baroque Works wouldn't have needed to exist. Crocodile would've just had commanders that report directly to him. No need for a secret organization as he did as a warlord. And that would eliminate the need for the Whiskey Peak arc. Also, I imagine that Crocodile would've already been introduced as a king rather than him having been in the middle of executing a coup. Much like how Kaido was the de facto ruler of Wano. But as titles are very important to Croc, he wouldn't have wanted to rule through Cobra. Instead, Cobra would've had to have fled Alabasta. And the Straw Hats would've met him early as a refuge hiding on some island. Perhaps, Little Garden. Vivi may or may not exist in this version as Oda didn't think to add a princess to the arc until midway thru Whiskey Peak. But with the Straw Hats taking in Cobra as a refuge, then the Drum Island arc would've been a heavy exposition arc for the Will of D. Rather than being a bit of a teaser arc for it. At least that's what I'm thinking...
Glad to see you here! Yet again discussing crocodile 😏 I feel like if Croc was an emperor, we may have seen him with a “beefed up” baroque works, maybe more akin to Kaido’s tobi roppo and commanders. He could’ve already subjugated alabasta instead of still in the process of it. There’s a lot of fun things he could’ve done to make croc more of a true emperor type, and like you said, we wouldn’t even need whiskey peak. I also agree the D would’ve been more important in Drum if that was the case - since we know Croc’s true history hehheehhe -and I think Ace could’ve been maybe involved more too since he was on both islands there
Yeah, but I think that ties to like “WHEN did Oda realize he could write as long as he wanted”, because clearly sometime after chapter 100 he knew that, but stuff like mentioning warlords early could be a sign he figured it out even earlier. Plus at that point, he had the warlord system so underdeveloped he could’ve made it almost anything he wanted. Once we get to croc and see someone leverages it to take over countries it’s kinda set in stone, but with Jinbe/Mihawk it’s kinda like an open ended system at that point. Since he said he only planned on emperors at first I trust him lol
@@DaksSake oh I'm sure oda is telling the truth, im just curious as to when oda decided to do the warlords of the sea. And I totally forgot about mihawk. 🤣🤣
Laugh Tale has to be after Lodestar. Otherwise it would be at some point discovered by a fishman. The only foolproof idea of this sort would be the one about one piece being inside a whale
The only landmass everyone reaches but never goes into Reverse Mountain. It's a winter island so it should have a downward stream like fishman island. Won't be detected by flying people since they see the top and fishman don't go that far. Although you probably need one since Roger and Luffy both have one on their crew.
@@w.8372 My line of thinking stems from the Oden flashback, where we have a decently detailed voyage of Roger to Laugh Tale. We've seen everything, but for some reason Lodestar is excluded. Theres literally 0 reason to not have a small panel of them arriving there I believe this to be a very key element thats almost always overlooked. We don't see it because it holds visual cues of what the rest of New World is like. Maybe something like an otherworldly pitch darkness or mist, or a permanent state of a natural disaster. Another thing I believe is that it's a wordplay that Oda loves to use a lot. Lodestar in japanese sounds a lot like "Road Start" which nicely ties to everything said so far. I think we will go there but its gonna be for 2 chapters max. Its also a place where we can have a final "feet on barrel" moment with the whole squad and a grandiose preparation/luffys speech or smth.
there's something really interesting i read recently that might impact how things would go in this hypothetical original shorter draft of one piece. apparently according to one of the databooks oda planned to introduce brook before franky. this would mean the straw hats would go to thriller bark after skypiea (makes sense for them to land in the florian triangle after getting out of the white sea) & possibly meet aokiji at the end instead of kuma, which would lead to W7EL directly
I watched this video two days ago and really enjoyed it. I agree with pretty much everything you said. However, as I watched another video by someone else just a few minutes ago about an entirely unrelated theory (something about Ace's companion from the Ace novels), I had a realization of another parallel that furthers your idea even more; something which you didn't mention on here. I think Ace, rather than being a sacrificial lamb to motivate Luffy, was actually going to serve some key purpose in the endgame of the short-run version of the series. You made an excellent point about how Oda has been meticulously reintroducing all of the key players from those early arcs, , but you didn't include Ace in that list. I propose that Ace was originally supposed to have an important and ACTIVE role in the conclusion of the series, but once Oda had carte blanche to continue as he saw fit, he found himself in a situation where Ace's death served the story better than his survival. However, Oda's plan for the endgame still necessitated the presence of Luffy's brother with the powers of the Mera Mera no Mi, which is why, practically IMMEDIATELY after Ace's death, Oda introduced us to the idea of a previously unknown THIRD brother: Sabo! I've heard so many complaints about how there was no indication of Sabo's existence prior to Ace's death, and that is all very true. My guess as to the reason is because Oda didn't originally intend for there to BE another brother! The narrative demanded the death of Ace but the plan still needed him there, and Oda realized that Ace's death was one that NOBODY would let him get away with undoing, so he was forced to come up with a new character that would have that same connection emotional connection to Luffy. If you are doubting this, consider the way he is now inserting Ace into key parts of the story. The attack on the Reverie, learning of Im's existence, etc. Sabo is now in a prime position to join Luffy at center stage and has important information Luffy will need to properly face and take down the world government. For those reasons, I suggest that Sabo will now fill the role Oda originally intended for Ace. From what you said in this video, you seem to believe that Ace was always going to die, probably to drive Luffy into a vengeful frenzy, and it is entirely possible that he would still have ended up dying, but I think he had some other role he was supposed to fulfill first. If "Luffy's brother was killed by the World Government" was his only purpose, then why would Oda go to such lengths to set up a NEW brother with the exact same powers, all while enduring countless criticisms for such a contrived idea with the "other brother that everyone thought was dead, and he conveniently had amnesia for all of these years until EXACTLY when the story needed him to remember" storyline? So, will Sabo die? Maybe in the end, maybe not, but either way he definitely has to fill the REAL role planned for Ace, and Luffy doesn't need to have his brother die to motivate him again because he still has that burning wrath inside him from Ace's death, and it will only necessitate one well-timed flashback to remind everyone of that. So, when listing all of the characters from the first few years of the series that Oda has made sure to return to prominence, let's not forget that he has done that with Ace as well, in the guise of Sabo.
There's something you did an oppsy on, Mihawk was the first Warlord we ever encountered having the title of warlord, that was in Bartiea so I'm sure Warlords was always gonna be apart of the story

@Sernival That's great! Hopefully, he will!

oda def fleshes his story out. Most writers will ruin the pace to end it
Oda is ruining the story now, pacing is break neck now that he suddenly wants to finish this in the next few years. He spent so long in dresserosa and whole cake and now he has to speed the story along. Sucks. Plus he keeps introducing tons and tons of characters. They were mentioned in the manga at that point and the anime added it

Short Piece: Buggy is succesfull in Logtown 😅
YES
Buggy alvida ship
buggy executes luffy but he turns gear 5 then and there
It makes sense that luffy would awaken in Enies lobby or skypeia because even if Haki wasn’t in the story yet, Gear 5 would still be able to injure devil fruit users. Logia wouldn’t be as threatening to luffy.
That’s an amazing point honestly, he could’ve skipped haki in a way then!
@@DaksSakegear 5 makes most sense in Skypeia with the moon etc

You forgot Buggy. It's clear to me that with everything that is currently going on that Buggy is meant to play an important role in the war to come. And Buggy was the first real villain Luffy faced in One Piece. One of Buggy's lines from Orange Town is "If I can't have my treasure, I'll have all the treasure on the sea" aka if I can't get the One Piece, I'll have everything else instead.
“You’re gonna be Pirate King? Well then I’ll be Pirate God” (not literally godly power maybe but Buggy definitely is more important than he seems)
I mean, not really. It seems pretty clear that a lot of what we’ve got over the years was always intended, Oda just had time to flesh stuff out.
@@samfisher6606 But that's probably because after Crocodile, he probably realized he could take time.
Another thing to note is that Crocodile is the first person to mention devil fruit awakenings in Impel Down.
Plus his fruit's power is a tad stronger than a typical Logia. We see Enel and Ace and Sabo just have fire, but Kuzan freezes oceans and Crocodile aborbs all moisture around him. Those are a lot more than just elemental powers and hint at awakening.
Great analysis of figuring out how One Piece would have only lasted that long
- Also in Thriller Bark not only Kaido was mentioned but Big Mom was somewhat mentioned after Lola gave her mother’s vivre card which then the Risky Brothers say that her mom was a great female pirate, but this could have instead a future powerful ally which could have helped out in your scenario helping the Straw Hats at the end
SO TRUE!! I didn’t think about that. Oda could have had Big Mom be an ally at the end instead because of Lola.
Part of me wonders if Oda would have had kaido and big mom just be a couple to make it all easier…
I thought her in luffy had words in fishman island to
@@DaksSake When Big Mom and Kaido's silhouettes were first shown in the post-enies lobby arc, Kaido's build was really similar to Big Mom so them being a couple could've actually been the plan.

I believe someone on the rocks crew had the barrier barrier fruit and protected. The island when the ancient weapon attacked and that’s why Enies lobby looks like that
Could be, but why does it float?

@@mrbubbles6468 Luffy isn't taking down Shanks so there is no reason to claim that Luffy needs to take down every Yonko
The warlords were first mentioned during Arlong's flashback (due to Jimbe). That was the moment when Mihawks was mentioned to be one of them
@@mrbubbles6468 Luffy didn't take down Big Mom, he didn't take down WB, he's likely not going to take down Shanks, and he's not going to take down Buggy.

Could you imagine the world where one piece was just “that pirate anime, with like 5 seasons that felt like it could have been way longer”
Might be easier to get people to watch it if it was shorter. "It gets good around episode 200" is kind of a turn off to most people not already invested
@@whichDude I mean, episode 37 is almost always the mark people use for getting into One Piece, but even that's quite a lot for most stories/
Oda also said in an interview he would just draw characters and like them so much he would want to make an arc for them 😭😭
Perfect for the time skip!
Know your ending before you begin.
Extremely important advice as we see in the original Avatar series vs its sequel series.
Noland was like a whole story on its own
@@DaksSakeI think Noland's purpose in story was to show a failed pirate king . Thass why his flashback is so different than others

I feel like the 4 emperors were initially meant to be the current ones (before Luffy becomes one). So Shanks, Mihawk, Kaido, Blackbeard)

Red Line would lead to All Blue, and this would happen possibly near the end of story too
@@kingofthedong3908yea and i'd be pretty sure that it's the ancient weapons that will destroy the red line
i honestly think the "re-traveling" back thing is going to happen during the final war. they find the one piece/laughtale, expose it to the whole world, have everyone shake and take a position about it, and then divide during the final war as each mugiwara travels back to one of the countries they've been at (nami in skypea, zoro in wano, usop in elbaf, franky at water 7, nico robin in alabasta...etc) with their own "fleets" and fight the war all over the world again, not only at marejois.
I think that a lot of the connection are moreso Oda foreshadowing future events in the early arcs, not so much remnants of a shorter story. I think Oda would’ve known by the time we got to the grand line that he would need more than 5 years. But the same idea goes with the foreshadowing for the final sage
From what I remember, he knew he could go longer after Alabasta.
Let's not forget that Brook, or a verison of Brook, was in Oda's original design for the crew.
The thing is, Oda would not have the told the story he really wanted
Im 26. The first episode of one piece air on national tv in 2003. That time my family cant afford tv. only few household can afford it. so the other children and me would gather at our friend's home just because we dont wanna miss any single episode. Cant believe i grow up with one piece untill today. What a great show, a great childhood ❤❤❤
And i subscribed your channel.
From the perspective of our history it would have made sense for Pluton to be the only super weapon considering what Plutonium is being used for
Maybe the ending requires a brother with a fire devil fruits and that's why we have Sabo reintroduced in the story.
He said the story will end when the one piece is found, not "when they go to laugh tale"
Not really, wb said at marineford someone would find the one piece and then challenge the world govt
The reception dak gets for his videos is beautiful man.
One potential way this could come back is through the Live Action. Being Live Action, it's very unlikely that they'll be able to adapt every part of the story since it's so long, but they might be able to adapt the original, 5-year plan version of One Piece without having to be the longest and most expensive TV show ever made.
If Sir Croc had Haki he would’ve been as menace. I think now he does
I have another reason to think Skypea was meant to be one of the final arcs.
Yes but a lot of the battles could have been shortened and they could have done more arcs in the same amount of time.
PEAK DROPPED YALL MAKE SURE TO LIKE THIS

Example:
* June 1998. Luffy farts > Nami makes a disgusted face, Usopp laughs, Zoro sleeps, Sanji complains about the smell tainting the flavour of the food
* June 2018.
Thus, Luffy farting gained the RA billions of berry for their cause, but it prevented Sabo from finding out about the secret of the Gorosei or Cobra's words, Vivi and Wapol are fucked, Kuma is still there, Bonney might be dead, and the Strawhats have no idea of anything, because they have just reached isolated Wano
wow you took the butterfly effect into a new whole level
You know the Grand Strawhat Armarda (i think) is kind of the same like the 10.000 Pirates he got after the David Jones Fight
NEVER COOK AGAIN 🔥🔥🔥

Those are Oda's words .... 🙇🙏 Very logical, matured , to the point and made even more interesting !🤩 I remember him having mentioned prior on some news article that "series of this plot will stop but there is scope for another !" So OP2 can be there 🙏 Only that it may be shorter more interesting, if he wills to write it. Also read that even he is in love with his work so anything can happen.
Lol no
One of the best OP videos I’ve ever seen and I’ve been around for a while now
Absolutely agree with you & I had the same thought on skypea’s poneglyph & Roger message on a 5yr one piece. A hard as heck to reach place w a confirmed spot knowing Luffy is following on the pirate kings steps. That message was meant to say ‘I’m going to Laugh Tale follow me if you will!’
Love it
Great video as always.
This video hyped me up because imagine Luffy returning to Goa kingdom with his whole crew that would be awesome hope we see that
Also maybe his reunion with Shanks happens where it all started?
nah I dont think that crocodile would be an emperor. I think dracule mihawk would be one.
Lore of Oda's ORIGINAL Plan to End One Piece Was INSANE! Momentum 100
That was a clean ad transition, respect
Laboon is a definite "needs to happen" after all Brook is on the crew now and Laboon has been waiting to see him again for a long time.
When I met Ian Sinclair years ago I told him it's sad that brook still hasn't gone back to meet Laboon & he agreed
Haha.
I was scrolling through the comments while at the end of Enies lobby so this is somewhat similar for both of us
@@Evespeon I'm on 1086 currently.
@@Hando316 yeah but at the time (315)
I think that the reason for turning around at the end of grand line might be a "pole shift" theory which i recently saw at grand line rewiew channel. I suggest everyone reading this comment to go look it up because it seems to make sense to me and i think we could kind of mix it with the whole ending on long ring long land theory.
4:23 didn’t we sort of hear about Big Mom in Thriller Bark as well through Lola and her giving her Vivre card to Nami?
Now I'm imagining a multiverse where One Piece ended 20 years ago. I wonder how the world would've been changed...
Final saga, 5 months later and im still huge doubting as literally nothing has progressed towards the end. YIPEE
Vegapunk about to change that
@@famimame really? It seems more likely to me that he’s just going to die lmao
Thing is most of the actual plot relevent stuff is not that much of the manga. So he could do it in 250. A lot of OP is padding, great padding. It could absolutely be consensed way down.
Do you consider how Rocks got all those people on his crew to be padding?
@@ArrakisHeir88if it was part of Oda’s OG plan it would undoubtedly have been over quicker than whatever we’ll get now.
I don’t think Rocks was intended and honestly not really needed.
The recomemded in youtube are getting better and better. First time here, great video man
I think Oda's initial plans were to make Luffy Pirate King and keep it simple where Luffy's final dreams would be to claim One Piece
Well, we can say that he changed his plans overtime and decided to spice it up, and the final target is EASILY not the One Piece
Even Luffy said that his dream might be possible if he becomes Pirate King, meaning Pirate King or One Piece ain't the final target or dream anymore
I believe it all changed at enies lobby where Oda decided to bring in "Evil World Government" In and start plotting thw final war
I love you already, I tried to make a personal rewrite of one piece on my notes so I can try to make it shorter but not to different but I’m surprised how you made it way shorter and still make it feel like great one piece, I couldn’t stop my grin all the way until the end starting with how you handled skypiea
Wasn't Vegapunk first mentioned in Alabasta during the fight against Ms. Christmas?
big mom was mentioned already on triller bark, lola did mention that her mom is a big pirate 4:09
😮 u heard it hear first… unless someone’s speculated b4 me 😅😅
Bruhh Oda Literally Painted Himself Into A Corner🤣
I'm predicting One Piece is going to have a shitty ending.
@@UmQasaann oda has been thinking of an ending for 26 years trust the process
Now Oda Even Sold Out, Because If He Doesn't Sue Steve Aoki For Literally Making Clothes & Using Its Likeliness To A T, Then One Piece Is Dead & Being Milked 🤣
afaik before skypia (alabasta ark) strawhats already knew about 4 road porneglyphs are mentioned
26 in total
4 road (red)
3 for the weapons
when nico robin was making the story dump about the rio porneglyph
Like I said earlier this UA-cam channel is a gold mine for one piece fans .
I appreciate you fam!
Yeah i always knew that oda was probably going to end it after skypia arc cause after that arc, all the big secrets regarding the one piece and roger pretty much were absent until after the new world arc began.
Roger only had to sail a second time because he did not know stuff Luffy already knows before getting there.
Laugh Tale is likely the last island.
He sailed a second time, found Oden, and then basically sailed it a 3rd time although they don’t say it that way. Doubt laugh tale is last
the last island is roadstar, it's pretty known.
I like the theory it is an island we know already. I like the ring island theory.
Yet again discussing crocodile 😏
I feel like if Croc was an emperor, we may have seen him with a “beefed up” baroque works, maybe more akin to Kaido’s tobi roppo and commanders. He could’ve already subjugated alabasta instead of still in the process of it. There’s a lot of fun things he could’ve done to make croc more of a true emperor type, and like you said, we wouldn’t even need whiskey peak.
I also agree the D would’ve been more important in Drum if that was the case - since we know Croc’s true history hehheehhe -and I think Ace could’ve been maybe involved more too since he was on both islands there
@@DaksSake I just can't to talk about my guy. Outside of the whole him "really" being Luffy's mom 😞
I feel like posiden could've possibly been on Oda's mind for a shorter version considering we meet fishmen very early on
But wasn't jimbei mentioned just before along park. Did they call him a warlord of the sea?
Yeah. It doesn’t mean there was an intent for a whole Warlord System to be a thing. Or that there was going to be so many.
Theres literally 0 reason to not have a small panel of them arriving there
I believe this to be a very key element thats almost always overlooked. We don't see it because it holds visual cues of what the rest of New World is like. Maybe something
like an otherworldly pitch darkness or mist, or a permanent state of a natural disaster.
It was never stated that Mihawk was a warlord at that time, the warlords were introduced after that and it was said that Mihawk is one of them.
